   Service lovely, our waitress was very attentive and always filling up water and we never had to wait around long for anything, enjoyed the oysters, pork belly and scallop skewer and the steak and the sauces that came with it especially the mushroom was insanely good but… we tried one of the potential new entrees at $20 each per skewer which was a beef skewer with an egg dressing which we didn’t even finish because it was burnt and overcooked, tasted like something we’d cook midweek on the bbq, mentioned this when the manager came to clear our plates and asked our thoughts and surprised to still be charged for it despite spending so much on drinks and other dishes

   This was our second meal here in a month. Phenomenal food and great atmosphere. Easily one of our favourite Melbourne restaurants. Can’t wait to go back.

   The service was absolutely impeccable, the entrees were amazing. We had the burnt ends, zuchini flower & croquettes. The main beef brisket was a let down, having the sauce served cold seemed very unusual and the meet presentation was off-putting. The Mac was very cold also. Overall experience was great and will go back.

   Tucked away in the basement this place has a really nice cosy vibe. The food was excellent with a good selection and cooked perfectly. The standout was the service, staff were so nice and sharp as a tack. The bill didn't seem to add up in hindsight, but we're happy to overlook that as the service was impeccable and all up the night was worth the price. I will definitely go back and wont hesitate to recommend it, it's on our top list of places to go in Melbourne.

   What a feed... meat was beautifully cooked, service was excellent, value was reasonable. If you're a fan of Briskets and or Red Meat you'll love it. I'll be back for sure.

    Service for food we waited an hour and 10 mins just for a steak and a brisket and two small chips. Food tasted good however because of the long wait the meat was not hot as it should have been. Staff were friendly however service was overall too slow.

    First time heading to meat maiden and we were disappointed. Firstly our entrees “went to another table” then an hour and a half later our mains arrived. We also tried to contact the restaurant before our booking to say we were running late out of courtesy and after ten times calling they finally picked up. Overall disappointed and wouldn’t recommend.

    We opted for the Maiden Mood option on the menu as it was our first time at restaurant and try the various menu items. We were quite surprised with the taste, portions and quality of the food. Only issue was the steak was a little cold after being rested. Highly recommend the Beef brisket was to die for as it was so tender that you couldn’t even lift out of the serving plate. On the drinks menu we recommend the pisco disco was a hit on our table. We celebrated a birthday and we highly recommend as an option for a small group. We will be coming back to try the rest of the menu and drink options.

    Food was as advertised, good BBQ and a good steak which was cooked as ordered. While the food was good quality and met expectations it was not better than a number of other BQQ restaurants. I though the music was too loud, there was just two of us and we had to speak loudly to hear each other. Service was a highlight, wait-staff we attentive, friendly and knowledgable on the menu and drinks.

    We had 4-5 different waiters serving us at different times, which perhaps contributed to them getting my order wrong. As a result they gave my medium-rare steak to another person in the group, and I got well-done. Very disppointed. We didn't realise until a few bites in, and due to covid we couldn't swap. Our waiter asked how everything was, and I mentioned this to him to see if he could offer a solution, but all he did was look embarrassed. So I'm not sure what the point of even asking was.

    Don't be put off by the prices, the steaks my girlfriend and I ate were absolutely magnificent. I could not fault any part of our meal, the steaks were perfectly cooked to our tastes, the side dishes were delicious, the beers were tasty, the service was fantastic. I could not recommend Meat Maiden any higher. Great food, great atmosphere, great venue. Loved it!! I'll definitely be going there again next time I visit Melbourne.

    The food at Meatmaiden was sensational. Everything was cooked to perfection and full of flavour. I cannot speak highly enough of the service staff, this was the best service I have received at a restaurant. My glass was never empty, my expectations were exceeded, they were very friendly and attentive yet never seemed to be hovering. You can expect my patronage whenever I am in Melbourne.

    Absolute stunner of a dinner! We got the maidens feast option as we could decide and everything was so delicious. The staff were attentive and super friendly. We had a booth and we’re so comfy. We will be recommending to friends for sure. Also that lobster Mac and cheese…. Holy moly! Thanks for a fantastic experience :)

    Lovely service and excellent food and drink. The staff were really helpful from start to finish and the vibe was great. Meat perfectly cooked for us both and I can safely say I would go again. Price wasn’t cheap but you get what you pay for. It isn’t a place for an intimate dinner - golden age hip hop and R&B soundtrack on the night we went and there were quite a few groups eating probably prior to going out somewhere else. But if you’re looking for a place for good food as part of a night out and you’re a carnivore, you can’t go far wrong here.
