   The restaurant, meal and experience was exceptional. Our server Alex was extremely attentive and helpful. The 45 day ribeye is like nothing I’ve ever tasted before. Sooo good! Cocktails and wine list are extensive and delicious. Loved it.

   Steak was fatty, thin cut and was no where near a NY stop cut but it was too late to argue and have it redone. Appys were better and acceptable. That being said a $62 steak from a steak house was supposed to be the star it fell way short

   While prime beef is the superstar of Meat on Ocean, there were also many wonderful seafood choices. Loved it! We will definitely come back.

    My family and I went to Meat on Ocean last night for my birthday. I had the filet of mignon medallions “three ways” - really delicious. But the NY. Cheesecake and bread pudding were both incredible. My sister said the Chilean Sea Bass was the best she ever had! It’s a restaurant that will appeal to those wanting more “traditional” food, but with enough innovation to satisfy more adventurous diners.

    Loved everything about this restaurant! We ordered a 38 ounce aged bone in rib eye for 3 of us, sides of the best mashed potatoes and sautéed mushrooms. We also had a wedge salad and they even asked if they could chop it to share it better. Started with 1/2 dozen oyster sampler. Will definitely come back if In Santa Monica. The cheesecake was also fantastic.

    Awesome service from Rubin- great food. Split the porterhouse with husband and it was plenty to eat. Very nice atmosphere. Awesome cheesecake foe dessert.

    We arrived a bit early and valeted our car. We decided to have a few drinks at the bar before requesting our table. Service was friendly and the drinks were prepared as expected. We then proceeded to the table, and the bar bill needed to be closed as they would not transfer it to the table as some establishments do. We ordered wine and appetizers. The pork belly and crab cakes, both were tasty. The complimentary fresh baked bread is addictingly delicious. Service timing was very good and pleasant. Valentina reviewed the steak choice with great skill and offered us a tour of the beef drying room and the butchering area where they trim and portion the beef. We ordered our steak entrees, some aged, some wagyu, some conventional, with some asparagus and fries for the table. Some more wine of course to wash it all down with. Valentina offered us a fancy wine stopper due to our multiple orders of wine bottles as a thank you. We all had a enjoyable evening at one of my favorite dining spots.

    Décor amazing. Display of meats and cheese and wine crested the most comfortable and special atmosphere. The food was literally perfect. Best restaurant we every ate at and we traveled the world. Meat lovers go no further.

    Dinner with our kids and their friends. Our kids love coming here when we’re in LA and it has always been lovely. Our server was excellent and attentive and the food was delicious. The prices are a little high compared to most steakhouses but the location is great and the ambiance makes the dinner feel even nicer. Always a great experience.

    Spent Valentine’s Day here with my husband. Food was spectacular and service was exceptional. This is our third time and will definitely come again. We had the porter house and bone in rib-eye.

    Took a while to get seated. 10 minutes to get bread, then 5 more for cocktails. When our order was ready to be served, we were informed they were out of the tuna but could replace it with salmon. They held up serving everyone until the salmon was ready. It was served almost raw and had to be returned to be cooked properly.

    We got that unlucky table where you get bad service. Our food was Lukewarm at best. Waiter never came by. They didn’t bring our sides with our mains, then manager comes by and says they were ready and just sitting there. We had to ask for bread. It was very underwhelming for such a pretty restaurant. Wouldn’t go back or recommend to anyone.

    Great food, had a charcuterie board, salad plus steak and seafood, all we're great. Service was on point as well! Would definitely go again! Just be ready to pay as it was expensive.
