We waited for about 15 mins for our server to show up and take our drinks order. She kept disappearing on us. Waited for another 25 mins for the check. Usually we get great service but this time was disappointed
Max was an excellent server - great recommendations from amount of meat to the wine. Can’t wait to go back

Our waiter was awkward...I felt like maybe he was new and not super confident in his role yet.
Food was eh...we asked for one filet mignon medium rare, it was more like medium well. My tasmanian ribeye lacked flavor. The mashed potatoes needed seasoning, the spinach sautéed in garlic didn't have any garlic. The chocolate cake was cold like it was straight out of the fridge.
I would hesitate to recommend and am not chomping at the bit to return.
The service was horrible and I had to ask them to take our order and bring this to Bill as well. I also requested a a specific table but they forgot about that as well and I did spend close to $400.
They were great the steaks were cooked to perfection. I am still amazed at the host for knowing it was our anniversary!

We went for my birthday and my friends birthday! The food was out of this world. The service was next level. The manager was wonderful at checking on us. We enjoyed every second of our evening. The filet and porterhouse were both perfection. First time having bone marrow and it was amazing. The birthday desserts were just out of this world. This place deserves 6 stars!
The entire experience, including the valet drop off and pickup was superb. We were seated right near the porch area, and had an amazing sunset view over the ocean. Right away, the rolls in the cast iron pan were amazing. Nice and buttery, with kosher salt sprinkled on top. Our waiter Jonathan was friendly, funny and attentive. He worked me through ordering. We got a 35 ounce 45 day dry aged Porterhouse steak for 3 (you buy by the ounce, which is different). They have a conventional steak menu, but the dry aged menu is great. Did I mention they have a dry aging fridge right there, in display? Like a lobster tank for beef.
We got a Caesar salad, grilled cauliflower and sautéed spinach. The Caesar was good, but Caesar salad is Caesar salad - it’s only noteworthy when you mess it up, and they definitely did not. The spinach was good as well. Nice and simple. I thought the grilled cauliflower was excellent.
Now we get to the Porterhouse. The entire rest of the evening paled in comparison to it’s goodness. Cooked a perfect medium rare, it had the intense beefiness that only dry aging can achieve. (If you eat steaks cooked medium or longer please don’t eat here - you miss the point of good beef entirely ;)
The seasoning was spot on. The they have many sauces for the steaks. I got Bearnaise. I realized after a single taste that putting any sauce on the steak was sacrilegious. It needs to be enjoyed in it’s own right. They have several other sauces, but I suggest you just skip them - they only distract from the meat, and you don’t want to be distracted from the meat.
There not much more to say than I will coming back…soon and often.
Overall a great meal and experience. Service was perfectly attentive, friendly and responsive. My prime rib was perfect, pretty sure it was the best I’d ever had. Two others in my party meals were slightly under and over cooked but they promptly corrected. Will definitely return with a smaller party so I can enjoy the outdoor ambiance.
The whole experience was wonderful. Great combination of food, service, and location. Can’t be beat if you sit outside-it’s the best!!! Our waiter and the manager (Mr Rose) went above and beyond to make our dinner experience enjoyable. Food is excellent!!! Definitely will make sure to book a table next time in town.

My wife and I decided to try Meat On Ocean for our 3rd anniversary. We don't have the funds to eat a restaurant like this normally, but this was a special occasion and so we treated ourselves. WELL WORTH IT! Ricky was our waiter and was excellent. He had great recommendations and was attentive to everything. The food was exactly what you'd hope for when you decide to splurge. Hopefully we can return for future anniversaries.

Great for date night or casual night out. It’s lightly lit, you can enjoy a drinks at the bar while you catch the game. The food is delicious! I would order the entire menu if I could! It’s always a pleasure when the hubby and I come for date night! Ask for Cisco at the bar, he makes the best drinks!

Amazing steaks and great management that is attentive and helpful throughout your experience. Worth to spend money when food is that good. The Snake River meat is a must to have!
We waited more than 30 minutes for be our table. They did not apologize or anything, it seemed like this is normal there.
The service at the table was slow, and they made several mistakes like not bringing the sides with our main entrees. We had to ask and then it took them another 10 minutes to bring out the sides.
Generally the service was very poor. We order 4 sauces for the steaks but only got 3, etc.
We used to come here somewhat regularly but won’t be coming back soon
Awesome place, I have to admit husband and I are in love with the 30 day old age steak . We try the oysters and we love them. Staff was very friendly and helpful when we explain our first time there. The wine recommend was perfect. It was perfect for date night will definitely go again .

Greeter at door checked us in on the reservation system - supposedly. We waited about 15 minutes before asking at the host stand. The hostess said we hadn’t been checked in. They comp’d us a couple drinks. Food came out a bit cold. 1/2 of the full rack of Ribs were burnt. They replaced the burnt part. Otherwise, food was pretty good.

Wife’s birthday her steak overcooked but they corrected it right away then it was perfect. Server was good and he was busy I paid 81.00 for my steak and it was average at best will not return overrated and sides were room temperature when they arrived. Flemmings by far better

The ribeye steak for two was like butter, absolutely delicious. The meatball app was good. The chocolate cake and pudding was good but the chocolate creme brulee was to die for!!! The service was great and ambience mellow. The view phenomenal at sunset!
I am very happy to try this restaurant especially during dineLA. The wine pairing just made everything much more better! Our server was really great, so patient and she gave us tips in how to dine with wines. Compliments to the chef! The steaks were so flavorful and juicy.. Their menu looked really good and we cannot wait to come back for the service and food.

Great place to enjoy friends
Good experience overall. The service was great for the most part. We had a couple of issues and the managers went above and beyond to rectify our delayed wine and wagyu temperature issue. The location feels central and the ambiance was beautiful. The staff was also very responsive to our request for an outside table.
Great location and nice interior design and atmosphere, but service is slow and inattentive (late table besides reservation, unfriendly service except bartender, forgot orders,…). Food is good but definitely not worth the price. The cheese and charcuterie choice is nice, and cocktails were good.
Overall, you mostly pay for the location and hype. Would not go back.

We did not have a good experience and this was the 2nd time dining here. I waited about 20 minutes just for sparkling water, we waiting 45 minutes for the oysters appetizers and when they came they brought too much so took they entire order away before we could say, "its ok" or 'just leave it". We then waited another 15 min for our salads that did not come they way we ordered it and they took it away before I could say, "It's ok, I'll just have like that". We told the waiter who kept on saying that the manager would come speak to us, but we didn't care about the manager, we just wanted our food. Our steaks, which we order medium rare finally came but they were rare and luke-warm like they had been sitting around. We just ate them. The restaurant did comp a lot of our items but we don't care about getting free items/discount on our food--we wanted a good food and a nice dining experience which we didn't get this time. We love steaks but we don't think we will be back.
Like the food and ambiance I think they are short staffed but the staff was really good and now a days every place is short staffed
I booked my reservation and somehow there was a mix up of the time. The manager went out her way to make sure she corrected the problem. The hostess was great. Jesse at the bar made the best martini’s. Our waiter Jonathan was awesome. He was very knowledgeable of menu and had a great personality.

Waited 45 minutes to be seated with a reservation. Took 1hr for our salads to come out, they forgot one of the salads. Took another 20 minutes for that to come out. Steaks came out with no steak knives. Server never asked if we wanted another cocktail. We didn’t complain but unacceptable for a restaurant this expensive.
