   Great service, great views ,great food. We’ve been coming to this restaurant for seven or eight years now, the staff is wonderful. They always have a big smile on their faces and are very polite and nice. Food wise I don’t think you get a better value. We usually start off with a shrimp cocktail, which is enough for two people. Even a half order is a lot of food. On this visit, we had the surf and turf where the lobster was excellent, and the fillet was tender and tasty. We also had the New York steak, which was very flavorful and very tasty. Many steak places tend to over salt the meat, not here. I highly recommend the mushrooms which are always good and for dessert we finished off with the bread pudding, which is one of my favorite desserts in the entire city. The wine list is extensive and not overpriced like a lot of upscale restaurants are. Meet on Ocean is so much better than a lot of these overpriced steak restaurants where you’re paying 80 or $100 for a steak which is drenched in salt not at meat. We will continue to go back.

   A+ If you are an aged-meat lover, run, don't walk to Meat On Ocean. My husband and I went for my birthday, and each ordered a 90-day bone-in strip steak. Outstanding aged flavor. Really, top notch. Some restaurants will present their steaks as aged, but no real funky flavor can be found. Atmosphere: We enjoyed the upscale food in the airy dining room. Well laid out with a noise level that allowed us to converse easily. It was relaxed, fine dining. Food: We started with very tasty boardwalk-style crab cakes. I prefer boardwalk crab cakes and MOO does them well. Our dry aged strip steaks were perfect. We LOVED the quince goat cheese spread with the buttery rolls. Roasted bone marrow was predictably delicious, and the potato puree was a great accompaniment with our steaks. Service: Our server, Jonathon, was terrific. He was attentive, informative, and enthusiastic about the menu, which was fun. A fellow aged steak love. The only downside to the service was us overhearing a rude young women speaking to our server aggressively. "Do better," she growled in a low voice. Really not professional and it made me uncomfortable. And again, our server was terrific, and he made our time there flawless. We will be back and will recommend MOO to our friends. What a fun find and a great reason to drive to Santa Monica.

   Came in for dinner because the place was recommended by the hotel. Our server (can’t remember his name) he had long blonde ponytail and soft spoken. He was Extremely nice and he throughly explained the menu and he was AMAZING!!! The food was good, but our server definitely made the experience so much better.

   We have been coming to Meat on Ocean for years, and this was one of our best experiences! The restaurant was kind enough to accommodate our table request, and our appetizers, steak, and sides were perfection. Service was energetic and professional, as always.    I’ve been to this restaurant probably 40+ times they usually always get it right but tonight It was a bit lackluster, so maybe it was just an off night! But I will continue to go back!

   Amazing place if you want a good steak. The menu can be confusing but our server was very helpful and prompt. We didn’t wait long for our food. It is expensive but you get what you pay for. Yum yum.

    terrible overall experience, the waiter had no idea of what the menu was or how to describe the steak choices, the food came out cold over cooked, the octopus was tough, I'm a top rate yelper have eaten around the world and this place ranks up there for worse value for your mo ey, recommend to avoid this restaurant
