Meanwhile is a Wine and Cocktail Lounge with a Dining Room in the heart of Belfast.
Internationally acclaimed Award Winning Executive Chef Chris Long.
Our Dining Room offers Chef tasting with multiple choices (4 courses for 70$ per person/per seat, or 2 courses for 50$ per person/per seat). The Chef choices change weekly according to the season and local produce available. Most of our products are prepped or baked in our wood fire oven. We strive for simple, fresh, quality food. Menu goes live on Instagram on Wednesday.

We used to be patrons of this restaurant in its previous rendition. We will never go back or recommend it to anyone again. We feel like we were "bait and switched" and had a really awkward, not great experience. Their food used to be so authentically delicious and them, now they are trying to be something that they are not, and charging WAY TOO MUCH for what they are offering. We sat down and noticed the menu change and prices, but thought we would give it a shot. We watched 3-4 parties sit down, and then leave as they realized the menu had changed so drastically. We were so disappointed and the atmosphere, once fun, energetic and authentic is now pretentious and stiffled. A place where yo used to be able to get an amazing pizza to share, you now get a tiny one that is the size of one slice (no joke) for $22 that they recompensed sharing for the table The food was OK, just not at all the caliber of what they are charging. A huge disappointment if you have ever been with their previous menu. Once one of our go-tos, we will never go back, and we have since heard this from others, too. If you see awards they have won and great reviews, that is from the restaurant they used to be. Why did they change when they had something so good going?

This place was so dark from the outside, we almost thought it was closed, but it is clearly by design. The interior is spaced out safely and it was perfect for carrying on a conversation over the quiet music and the other guests…. Very charming and intimate. Despite clearly being the only person attending to everyone in the room, our server managed to be both efficient and attentively engaging. The food was fresh, attractively served and delicious. I highly recommend! Reservations are a must and well in advance for a very worthy experience.

We are visiting the area and decided to try Meanwhile in Belfast. I was skeptical of the price and small menu . What a surprise ! Very safe during pandemic as they limit seating, service personable and excellent, food was sooo good ! The flavors blend for a delightful , delicious treat ! We are going back a second time before we leave . Great experience!

We enjoyed the restaurant before they remodeled and love it still! The menu changed and I miss a few things but this was a delightful selection and great to have an upscale experience here.

We had a very delicious dining experience at Meanwhile! Excellent cocktails, great wine list. Dinner outstanding. Both appetizers, bluefin tuna and the meatballs were our favorites of the evening. A must if they remain on the menu.
