Terrible experience. If you can't do it right, don't do it at all. Got there at 2:10, waited 30 minutes for a table. Service was terrible. Had already run out of prime rib and ham. Also, no dressing/stuffing for the turkey. Shrimp shooters were dried out and tasteless. Chocolate cake was terrible. The rest of the food was average at best. Had to get up and stop a waiter for refills. Cracker Barrel or even Golden Corral would have been much better. Certainly not worth anything close to the $50 they charged.

We arrived at 2 pm. Our reservation was 230 pm we waited at least 1 hour after our reservation. I took a look inside and there were at least a dozen tables empty and set up. I went in where the buffet was . They only had one line open. There was only turkey avalible, we were told that's all they had left. No prime rib and no ham. They were slicing the turkey paper thin. They were out of dressing, we were told they couldn't make more they had no ingredients to. They were out of veggies except for green beans and potatoes. Their rolls were cold. Their dessert table was pitiful. One kind of cake and apple pie and pumpkin pie. They ran out of the bananas foster. We had 3 people over the age of 93 one 96 all with walkers. They put us at a table that was the most distance from where the buffet line was and in a corner. When we were finished the gal asked if we needed seperate checks. We told her yes and whom. She asked if we could give her our credit cards so she wouldn't have to walk back and forth to the cashier. I mentioned lime our over 90 and ALL of us had too when they ran out of food. She said they feed a sports team earlier and that is why they ran out of food. They were going to discount our meal to 25.00ea because they ran low on food. I mentioned they didn't run low they RAN OUT of food period. We have eaten our last 6 Thanksgiving meals here and it was always perfect. Except whenbthey didn't have it during the pandemic. We have also had our Christmas dinner there a couple of times. They should of NEVER sat us down and given us vouchers for another time. Our meal was terrible the experience was terrible. We had 4 people in our family here from out of state. One veggieterian there were not veggies left except for green beans and potatoes. We do not plan on having our meal there again. They treated our elderly very bad seriously putting us with 3 on walkers across the banquet room on the furthered side away from the food buffet and bathrooms.

We had reservations for Thanksgiving dinner at 2:15 PM. When we arrived at 2PM and let the hostess know we were there she said they were clearing tables and it should not be too long. About that time at least 2 basketball teams arrive and are led to a separate room were they were immediately seated and fed from a separate buffet. The whole thing was completely disorganized. The hostess was calling names in a very crowded room without any audio / microphone on her podium. She was tyrying to find open tables by leaving the podium and looking herself. When I walked into the banquet room there were at least 10 tables set up and ready, They seated large parties that arrived much later than our 3 person reservation and could not get tables cleared because now their limited staff was waiting on the basketball teams instead of clearing tables in the main banquet room. When we finally were seated around 3:30PM most of the food was out and not being refreshed. Prime rib was completely out and never refreshed. Turkey was almost gone. Ham was over cooked and sitting in dishes that ho one was eating. The salad bar was down to just lettuce and a couple of other items and never replenished. The cheese / charcuterie was destroyed and never replenished. Shrimp cocktail shooters were sitting on a table and not kept cool. We watched one of the staff picking up dropped food and other trash with gloves on and then handled food without changing gloves. We had to go find someone to get our drinks. When I asked for the manager he was full of excuses why they were having issues and said "we have served 1100 people". My reponse was you need to give us a discount. He did cut the price to $25.00 per person plus an 18% Banquet hall add on that we were not expecting. Needless to say this is not the service I expected from a Marriott conference center. This place has gone down hill and the Tgiving meal should be stopped if they can't do any better. We will never be back.

The food was good, although not always hot. Did not know they charged a 18% banquet fee on top of $49 per person for the dinner. The server took took 10-15 minutes to return my receipt for payment after picking up my credit card for payment.

The thanksgiving buffet food was a wide variety and quite good. The hot dishes were just warm which was slightly disappointing. The service was not good. When I was seated no one came to get my drink order and it was difficult getting a drink refill and not one server came up and asked if I needed anything or to check on me. I believe they were understaffed this day. Even trying to pay the bill was a task.

The Thanksgiving buffet was amazing! The food was all excellent, the presentation and food stations were great. The service was good but not outstanding only because they were short staffed and the wait staff had a lot of tables to service. It was pricey but it IS Thanksgiving day and all you can eat. They do offer a senior discount. This will be a tradition in our family from now on!

The food was very good for a thanksgiving dinner. The service was very poor. One of our servers told us they had brought people in from business office etc to be servers and there was only 2 cashiers ringing up for everyone. I had to run people down to refill drinks and get more. I even had to run people down to pay the bill. Then we waited almost an hour to get our bill paid. I believe they had around 1000 people for Thanksgiving. Thank you

Would definitely not recommend the Thanksgiving buffet at Meadows. Food was extremely bland, service was non-existent. Biggest surprise was the $190 bill for the three of us - which they had added a 26% tip onto. Run away from this restaurant.

The crab legs would have been much better warm instead of on ice, but they were still good. All the other items we tried were delicious. Prime rib, peel and eat shrimp were delicious too.

Crab legs were served cold on ice. It should get better they said the steamer was down they said it will be fixed .The melted butter needs to be changed there is better tasting butter. They said it would take about two weeks to get the steamer fixed. Would have been better with sea scallops.

I’m sure food will definitely improve in time since I was there for the First night of The Seafood Buffet. Crab legs were not good on ice, and the Prime Rib was raw.

They have started serving the seafood cold to "keep it fresher" it was very fresh before served steamed they just don't want you eating as much. The price also increased as the food has gotten worse. Who wants cold shelled shrimp and iced crab legs? Not me. I used to come every Friday for the seafood but I believe for my entire family this was the last time

Before covid, we would visit the restaurant at least 2 times a month. We sure did miss the Crablegs during that time. But our visit last Friday night on the 1st night back of crab, we were extremely disappointed. You placed the crablegs on ice. I couldn't hardly hold them they were so cold, made my hands extremely cold, plus the water running off of them made a really big mess. I'd much rather had steamed crablegs. If u'll change that back to steamed, we'll come back. Jeff

I had asked for a quiet space for me and my husband. The hostess appeared to have some attitude and seated us in an area that she later filled with large families and screaming children. The hostess glared at me every time she brought filled a table next to us. It was awkward. Out server was amazing. The food was not worth the price. The crabs were good and some of the dishes were good. The chowder was runny. I understand the situation with the virus and that being the last weekend for the buffet for a few weeks so they were trying to get rid of what was left, but we felt ripped off after paying 130.00 for two people with tip. Oh, and iced tea is an extra charge. I had asked for hot water with lemon. I was brought a pot of hot water that had residual coffee. Gross. Unsweetened tea was the logical option. Disappointed. Your next section requires me to select an option for what I would recommend this restaurant. There should be a not recommended option since I would not recommend Meadows to anyone.

This is a great place, the food was great, service and atmosphere were great, I had the crab legs, and New York Strip, Shrimp, off the bar and all was great. I highly recommend and will definitely be going back soon.

We were having a mid-afternoon lunch and the restaurant had few patrons at the time. The view of the mountains and golf course was beautiful. My wife really enjoyed the open-faced New York strip sandwich with mushrooms and a Parmesan cheese topping. I tried a vegetarian garden Burger that I would swear had meat in it. It was the best I've ever had. We finished with a molten lava cake that was outstanding. The friendly staff was attentive but not obtrusive. We had a very enjoyable time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch/lunch. I did have difficulty making and confirming reservation on that morning. I called and found that the phone communication was nil, so, we came anyway. Our waitress was efficient, not too chatty, but, had great wit and sense of humor, and, did not hover over us excessively. It was a great way for our family to enjoy a reunion in a relaxed atmosphere.

This is a wonderful treat for you and your family and friends. The crab legs are wonderful! They are big and they have lots of meat and they taste very good! The fish and the shrimp are wonderful as well. The dessert bar is awesome. The salad bar looks good but I did not try it because I just wanted seafood!

The seafood buffet was quite good. The waitress gave me lessons on how to eat crab legs. The price was a bit high, but I guess in such a fancy place that was OK. The variety of food offerings was spot on.

We have eaten at the Meadows seafood buffet at least 20 times. The food this time was the worst ever. The clam chowder was over salted. Both fish dishes and the roast potatoes were too spicy/salty. The dessert selection seemed smaller than usual. The service was good as always.

Their seafood buffet on Friday is AMAZING!!!!! The best seafood. Puts Grovepark in Asheville to utter shame and costs less. The food from the menu is amazing too. We’ve been many, many times and have never had anything that wasn’t great. Highly recommend!!!

Based upon the menu I expected something just below fine dining, which is what I wanted. Looking for something above a LongHorn or Outback Steakhouse. What we received was a cut below. Nearly everyone at the restaurant was there for the Friday night seafood buffet. Buffet looked nice enough, but not what you expect at an upper level restaurant. Service was haphazard and disorganized. I should have gone elsewhere.

The service was excellent, the food was delicious and the food presentation was very pleasing. We had a very nice dinner experience. Because of bad weather, live music was moved inside and that was a little too loud. The music itself was very nice and enjoyable. Just a little loud to have a conversation at the table, but understand it was a last minute thing. Will definitely come again.
