Brunch for Restaurant Week. Donuts were delicious. Biscuits and gravy-yummm. Corn fritters were to die for.
My mom brisket was extremely tender and mouthwatering; potatoes cooked nice and crispy on outside, soft middle; tortillas had absolutely no flavor. Overall, I was pleased with our experience here and will return (even if just for those creamed corn fritters!)
Our waiter was meh...we had to ask for things several times. The coffee was warm...had to ask for cream and sugar. The sugar came in a open bowl that had sugar crusted on it as well as the spoon. Not at all sanitary in my opinion. Sweetener served the same way. The donuts took longer than they should’ve (come on...it’s fried dough!) and didn’t seem cooked through. The yogurt needed a sweet element like honey (the waiter didn’t know if there was any and when asked a 2nd time about it he finally brought it) or more fruit. It was more like pecans were the star , fruit was an afterthought and the the yogurt was so one note that it completely muted the dish. The 3 mint leaves brought zero to the show. The sausage gravy was overly thick and the sausage was sparse. The biscuit would’ve been better served with butter and some preserves. The bread on the BLT would’ve been better had the lettuce been next to the bread instead of the tomato which caused it to be a soggy mess.It was my daughter’s birthday celebration. Could you at least have one standby dessert to put a candle in?’ She picked the place but for mediocre food/service at the time of $84...I’ll definitely go elsewhere or stay home.
I did have a rather small $3 chicken leg that was excellent.
Simply the best new place in San Antonio. Great Food, Great Service.
Chef knocked this one outta the park! We had the Restaurant Week Brunch and left so full.
Everything was delicious and the loaded fries he sent out were the bomb!!!
Certainly coming back here to try more of the menu.
My girlfriend is a vegetarian and we were excited about the fact there was an all vegetarian option on the restaurant week menu online. When we arrived, that was not the case. The veggie option for the main course had been taken off the restaurant week menu. There was still an eggplant lasagna option on the regular menu, but it was inedible. The cheese was burnt to a crisp and it was hard as a rock. She was only able to take a small bite and it was gross. Would not return.
Really nice place. The ambiance is wonderful. The staff was very friendly if perhaps a little unorganized. The food was beautiful and tasted good.
We loved the food and service. The only suggestion would be that it was a little too dark. Our table needed more light above or near it. Can’t wait to go back!
Really cool place nestled off of Bitters. Reminds me of something you’d find in Austin but without the hours-long wait. Great food and service.
The Meadow is fairly new (less than a year) and in our neighborhood, so Culinaria was a great time to give them a try.
We (2 couples) enjoyed our waiter Tyler who was friendly and efficient. The relaxed vibe was fun and the options were interesting. 3 of the 4 of us tried dishes from the Restaurant Week 3 course menu. The first course options (Caesar salad, grilled vegetables) were top notch! Though the entrees (fish and pork loin) were tasty the preparation seemed rushed. Pork was on the tough side, fish was a bit over cooked. But the vegetable side dishes were stellar. We all chose hibiscus ice box pie as the lighter option over the ganache candy bar. It was dense, sweet, & very good.
My thought is to offer fewer entree items to focus on what they do best, vegetables! I would love to return and have an all veggie meal. Truly extraordinary!
We will definitely return and enjoy the patio & fireplace after the weather gets below 90😁
The food is amazing and we will eat here again just NEVER on a Saturday or Restaurant Week - not sure what the reason was for the overwhelming noise level and the unfortunate service but 2 out of 3 makes for a mediocre evening.
Regular here but took advantage of restaurant week brunch menu. With one order I got to try 5 things on menu I hadn't tried yet. Loved them all. Go try them!
Great bar and cocktails...
We had dinner Friday evening and it was an outstanding experience, which started with an outstanding server! He recommended the barbecue Amberjack ribs...yes fish ribs! I must admit it was a fantastic dish! The corn bread is worth all the calories and I don't normally have bread with dinner but can't wait to go back to have more.
Meadow is beautiful, fun, has a great vibe, and outstanding food and a great bar!
We had an amazing meal! Everything was fresh, flavorful, colorful, perfection. Matthew, our waiter, was excellent. Thank you to our hosts for the anniversary toast. The crispy cornbread was unforgettable, the fried chicken was so juicy and tender. The okra was too wonderful to describe here. We cannot wait to come back!
Stopped in for a late lunch. Roast beef pita was great.
Best brunch/breakfast in town!!!!!!! Glad I found this place.
Delicious food! The portion size to the eggs benedict was small, but other than that, everything was great!
Seasonal local and fresh menu. We really enjoyed the cabbage egg pancake, a must order! The Texas tomato and chimichurri salad was flavor packed and well balanced! The corn bread was too dry. We loved the NY strip steak and loved that it was a local rancher. Steak was nicely seasoned cooked to a perfect medium and the crispy onions were a delicious surprise! Dessert was the hibiscus ice box cake, not our favorite, the cake had a goat cheese like sour taste we didn’t care for. Wish the “cookie bar” want sold out! Overall, very good and Presentation 5/5, everything well seasoned and balanced! Would highly recommend this restaurant. Also, appreciate the rotating menu with the season, keeping items interesting and fresh! We will definitely be back!!
Had a drink called 281 and Bitters. So good! We got there for some happy hour drinks and bites. Cabbage pancake with an egg and pork belly was great. Everything we tried was very good. Service was very good. It was a nice evening! We’ll go back.
We had a great time at Meadow. The server was attentive and the food was excellent. A definite place to go back to
Our neighborhood place. Love it.
PJ is a master using vegetables!!!! Everything and I mean everything was superb!
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Go on a Tuesday they offer a pre fixe menu that is a phenomenal value. Happy hour is a must do! The night we went it was too hot to sit outside but we’re dying to go back on a milder night because they have a wonderful outdoor patio area! Hands down a must visit if you’re in San Antonio.
I keep coming back. I am LOVING Meadow! The food and ambience is wonderful.
We LOVE Meadow. If you haven’t tried it you are missing out. The drinks at the bar with Nick and Lindsey were awesome. Kyle was our waiter as always and was on point! I had the tomato salad and my husband had the beet salad. We both had the fried chicken and everything was amazing! This is a great, fun spot with excellent service and food!!!
This was our second time visiting Meadow and we were very pleased. I had asked for a round table for our party of six and was pleased that we were accommodated. Our server was very gracious, but overworked and very busy. With that being said, she got to us as soon as she could and delivered drinks (during happy hour) and then food within an acceptable amount of time. I think we all enjoyed our food and drinks and we will be back.
We had an early dinner at Meadow and loved it! The bar area was full but we at in the dining room. Our service was excellent! The scallops were exceptionally wonderful! We will be back soon!
Wonderful cocktails. Great appetizers. Attentive service.
Overall great food and service. We typically come during happy hour and have not been disappointed with any of our dishes or the interaction we had with the staff.
My husband and I went to Meadow for our anniversary after hearing great things about it from friends. We were so impressed with the unique and creative menu and everything we had was delicious! We look forward to going more often and taking the family as well. I love how they always have events on the calendar!
Surprisingly contemporary and sophisticated food in a out of the way location. We ate outside which was very pleasant other than the live music which was a bit loud and unfortunately the vocals were poor. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive and the food was good, emphasizing local ingredients which is always a plus.
Parking/location not an issue.
A few minutes late on table set up for our reservation. Table leaf not properly set in place.
Nicolas J an excellent server and host...nice touch opening door for us as we left.
It was very loud but we got used to it.
Food superb. We'll be back.
Great brunch! Service was quite slow, but food was tasty and fresh. The price can’t be beat for a nice brunch close to home, though.
I had a great time at meadow, I came for Brunch to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. I loved the ambiance and the quality of the food was really good. The campfire donuts were good, but lacked sweetness, the sauce that it came with was really good and sweet but it wasn’t enough for the amount of donut holes that it came with. Our entrees were excellent. My boyfriend ordered the brisket which was very tender and flavorful. I had the ahi tuna with capers and it was really good. Not too heavy and not too light. Overall I really enjoyed it and I will definitely be back.
Had Sunday brunch with a friend and was so happy with the experience. The service was perfect and the food was completely on point. The grits and pork belly were a perfect brunch pick. I can’t wait to go back.
The food, service, and location were quite good! The drinks were generally well-crafted, but tended to the sweet and watery.
The DJ was outstanding.
Great place to go after work with great happy hour food/drink menu (try the 281 & Bitters) and great food menu. Went on a Friday, had guy out on patio playing acoustic guitar and more formal (and cool) inside. Prices are reasonable based on food/drink quality. Get over there for Happy Hour and you'll lock it in as a dining "go-to".
excellent service and delicious food. the ambiance was made perfect by the live music, if it was not for the warm weather, mosquitoes could have been somewhere else. it was a cozy friday afternoon for me and my girls.
A tucked away hotspot waiting to happen. It’s beautiful, the food is delicious, the staff is nice, and it’s got plenty of space and comfortable seating.
