Jeffrey was our server; he was both knowledgeable and attentive. The food is exceptional the ambiance elegant but a bit noisy. It got better as noisy customers left. My wife’s skate was heavy on the garlic and delicious and my scallops were cooked perfectly. You MUST try the El Limon dessert a wonderful surprise! Please go!

This was the best ever dining experience for my wife and I. I’ve traveled the world, and enjoyed some top notch professional meals with customers & colleagues, but this was so special. Once you step off the elevator and start to see and experience the ambiance you feel as though you’ve been teleported to a big city like NY, Chicago, or Tokyo. Everything that your senses capture give you energy, and the variety & quality of the cuisine was over the top. Our fav was the smoked salmon and chocolate dessert tree. AMAZING, best ever meal with my bride. Thank you MDRD!

We were out for my husband’s birthday. Had a great seat in a half circle booth for the two of us! Liked that spot bc there was good lighting over our table. Food was great, Andi, our server, was fabulous! Worth the hype we’d heard from family & friends!

Service and food was amazing! Wonderfully creative classic renditions with modern flare. Presentation was thoughtful, beautiful and creative. Explanations were spot on and the wine selection was a steal! 😁 Loved it all!

Was highly recommended the octopus and would not ever get it again. Didn’t have good flavor. Asparagus also lacked flavor. The croquettes and salmon tapas were delicious! The beef tartar was good too, surprisingly. The dates were good, but San Chez’ are better, have more flavor and interest. We liked the complimentary olives. Could have been fine with 5 tapas for 2 of us, though 6 was recommended, so that is what we ordered. Ambiance was pretty nice. Got the chocolate soufflé dessert which was very tasty but could definitely do without the cotton Candy.

Exceeded our expectations! From start to finish, the entire experience was exquisite. The ambience, the service, the cocktails, the tapas, the desert — Loved it all! So thrilled to have a spot like this in Grand Rapids. We can’t wait to return!

We had a fantastic evening at MDRD. The food was phenomenal and the staff was amazing. The ambiance and view made the evening all the better. We split two tapas and two entrees and even managed to save a little room for dessert. Everything we ordered came out perfect, but my favorite dishes of the evening were the cold-smoked salmon with truffles and 30 day dry aged ribeye.

Another great experience! From food to our server, Candice, everything was wonderful. If you’ve not been to MDRD yet, be sure to try the salmon puffs, lamb chops, and the lemon dessert. We usually just go for the chocolate cake with spun sugar but think the lemon is our new favorite. A great place to celebrate or simply have a great dinner looking out on the city.

Another impressive evening at MDRD for my daughter's birthday. They made lovely recommendations for the vegan at our table. The food is so interesting, detailed, and so flavorful. The atmosphere is warm and the view is impeccable. Lovely way to spend a special night. The staff was, as always, attentive and knowledgeable. Truly stellar place.

We loved how private and quiet our booth was. And the view….breathtaking! The drinks and appetizers were amazing. Unfortunately, we had to leave early because of kid issues. We will certainly be back for a full meal experience.

We had a great dinner out with friends. The Tapas were amazing. Drinks were really creative. The only thing I was really disappointed with was my entree (paella). The lobster and sausage were minimal, and the rice was dry and pasty. Certainly not worth the $49 price tag. I would not order that again. Overall, it was a good time.

We had a marvelous dinner at Mdrd for a special birthday. I'm so glad I included the fact that it was for someone's birthday because they sat us in the Chueca dining room and it was greatly appreciated. When we first got to the restaurant the noise level was overwhelming - which is one reason we appreciated the private dining area. After about an hour the noise level dropped significantly - post happy hour, perhaps? We ordered a variety of tapas (tortilla espanola, the charcuterie board were standouts) and a couple of main dishes to share (the rib eye - presliced in the kitchen for easy sharing and the lobster paella). The server paced the meal nicely and steered us well in our wine choices. We ordered two of the three desserts listed on the menu, and Mdrd offered us the third dessert! They were some of the most beautifully prepared desserts we have ever seen and we are still talking about them, and the meal in general, several days later. It's easy to see why this restaurant is in such high demand.

First time visiting this place and its a big city feel. Loved the vibe and décor with amazing views. Everything was well thought out including an incredibly trained staff. Top notch drinks and a solid menu to choose from. We will most definitely return.

You can’t beat the service, view, and overall ambience of a spot like this. There’s nothing else like it in this area. We went at 5:15 so got to enjoy the view and daylight and evening which are equally beautiful. The food was delicious. The only reason I say for stars is because I’m value is because three scallops should not cost almost $50. But, you’re paying for the ambience and the view and the overhead and everything else that goes with a place like this. just know that if you go you’re going to spend a lot of money. I had one cocktail my entrée, dessert and coffee and my bill came to $94. It was a very nice dining experience. I’m not complaining just making a comment to be prepared if you go.
