We were only one of two tables at lunch time. The service and food were ok. Would not recommend.

The heat was out in the restaurant. We tried to attempt to get close to a portable fireplace. We sat with our jackets on which was very uncomfortable. I received a call to confirm my reservations. I feel I should have been told at that time that he heat was not work and given the option to cancel my reservation. Patrons should have been offered at least a free appetizer for dining in the cold. Management should have gone around to the patrons and apologized for the heat outage, but left staff to deal with the complaints. I was not happy about that.

Horrible pre-fixe New Year’s Eve dining experience. Courses came on top of each other, had to ask for water to be refilled and dessert options were cheesecake or cheesecake. In and out within an hour. Not a New Year’s Eve dinner that one would imagine.

Always great food and service. The fried oysters were seasoned well. The tiger shrimp could have used more sauce but were still
Good. Had the lamb with mashed potatoes and asparagus and it was really good. Our server made our night.

My husband and I brought our daughter on New Year’s Eve because the menu looked good and it was close to our hotel. It did not disappoint. We had the choice of ordering off the regular menu or the holiday prix fixe. We opted for the prix fix which had also come with a glass of champagne. My husband and I both enjoyed our meals, the restaurant was busy but the staff was attentive and the price was reasonable for portion size. The only thing that we didn’t like was that the kid menu said “Kraft Mac n Cheese” but it wasn’t. For those with picky kids, you will understand. The waitress was kind enough to exchange for regular pasta with no additional charge.

I get together with my siblings each year around Christmas and we always pick a different restaurant in the DC area. This year we wanted to try something at the National Harbor and selected McLoone's Pier House. We were all extremely satisfied in the service, food, and reasonable prices. We will definitely return!

My 2 brothers and I took my sister to McLoone's for lunch in honor of her 60th birthday. Our server was very friendly (maybe a bit casual for my taste) and efficient and attentive without being intrusive. The food was excellent. We had the crab rangoon, crab dip, crab fritters, crab grilled cheese, spinach salad, and salmon blt. The salmon was notable because it was perfectly prepared--well seasoned without overpowering the taste of the salmon and cooked through without being dry. The fries that came with the sandwiches were delicious. I did request a substitution for the Wasabi salad dressing for the spinach salad and it was no problem. The view was really lovely, though not accessible from all areas of the restaurant. The restaurant was not at all busy at lunchtime and we sat and talked for several hours without feeling pressured by the waitstaff. I'm looking forward to taking my husband to this restaurant and would happily recommend it to others. Bonus: this restaurant is very conveniently located for parking and the car charging stations.

Ambiance- told the waitress there was a constant frigid breeze coming through the restaurant. She completely dismissed it and said “it’s probably how she got sick & since there is a lot of windows- that’s why its so drafty”

The temperatures were switched on two of the beef entrees. No apologies- just asked what I liked to have done. I had to tell the manager that both persons weren’t able to eat with us- now they are waiting on food when all of us are done eating. Not acceptable for a $17 hamburger (supposed to be cooked med well) & a $38 filet mignon (supposed to be cooked med rare).

Manager agreed to compensate bill. Bill came and nothing was compensated AT ALL. Bill came back compensated, but yet I had to recorrect bill that had a coffee on it that NEVER CAME. I forgot to mention that a different entree- they forgot to serve the side- AND THAT NEVER CAME EITHER.
Didn’t even ask if we wanted dessert- just wanted to know if we wanted the check. My brother overheard the manager + staff talking about trying to close out the tables. It wasn’t even quite 8:30p.

It’s not like the restaurant was super busy. I know this because even though we were a table of 12- they were only 4 or 5 tables outside of us.

We came expecting to spend a good time instead of being treated like we weren’t there to spend some top dollar. We bought a bottle of wine- couldn’t order another one because the waitress wasn’t visible 75% of the time. It was her “assistant “ that was visibly trying to help our table. She was the only one that showed true customer service and was genuine with an apologetic attitude.

Very disappointing. I wish I could give the reviews ZERO STARS.

My daughter and I decided to go to McLoone’s at the last minute for dinner while staying at the Gaylord. When we arrived we discovered that they were massively understaffed - only two servers for the entire restaurant. In most places this would be a nightmare, but not here. The staff were amazing. They acted as a true team and no one felt the lack of staff. Never have I been more impressed by the teamwork in a restaurant! Add that to the fabulous food and I will certainly be back.

Good seafood - but not great. overpriced because of that. More of a bar atmosphere than a nice dinner occasion (which is what we went for). We went on a VERYcold night so that may have been the reason, but it was FREEZING inside. Every person in the place kept winter jackets on through dinner. We will probably go once more in the summer to check out the outdoor seating/atmosphere and see if it's better - but on a general night out not a special occasion.

- Go to McCormick and Schmidts if you’re going to spend this kind of money.
- A lack of visible sign from road to find the restaurant had me calling McLoone’s, and I was sent to voicemail trying to find it; walked in 5 minutes later and hostess still on phone with someone and took another 2 minutes before she got off phone to greeet any of us.
- Entrees arrived 55 minutes after seating, lobster bisque served ice cold and upon tasting second bowl we had brought, it was thick and tomatoey with barely any lobster
- TV left on CBS when college football bowls were on
- Lost chance to sell second drinks with adequate service
- Mngr breezed by towards end of meal then went back to dancing and restaurant karaoke
- Fish n chips horrible, too much breading and/or under fried

The food was very good, But the service was -0, it was soooooo bad!
The waiters has NO Idea what she was doing. she spilled food on us and did not
even apologized we asked her for more bread and she said no we can't have any more
because they are not going to back any more bread!! this was at 8:15 pm which is dinner time.
Very disappointing experience. We were celebrating my husband 63rd birthday and it was ruined.

We were a group of 6. There were many menu items that were not available on a Saturday evening. We had floating items in our water. The waitress stated that the restaurant manager was checking on the issue but never came back to update us. Other guests arriving received clean water, so then we asked another waitress for water because our waitress never returned. The food portions did not match the prices. I have eaten at this restaurant before and the food and service was great. Maybe this was just an off night.

The crab appetizers were amazing but the crab cake sandwich was disappointing. It was good but nothing to write home about. For the price and location, I expected more lump crab meat and less filler and pieces of crab. The service was unbearably slow - we are the only ones in there for lunch for the first hour and lunch took two hours!

I have visited the restaurant five times, and this is the first review I have written. This place is loud, and there is no separation from the bar and dining area. The prices are not cheap either. There a just so many better places to spend that amount of money on dinner, and have a nicer dining experience.

Rushed was given new meaning when we arrived at 6:25 pm for a 6:30 reservation. The waitress was nice and did indicate that is was going to get busy after 7, so she wanted to take care of us before the rush. Oh, she rushed, the before dinner drinks, the appetizer and main courses all arrived at the SAME time. We paid our bill at 7:35. Never again.

The salads were amazing and the service was solid, generally speaking. The barley soup was overpriced at $10 and it tasted like it was out of a can. Getting the bill before we had a chance for dessert or coffee was poor form. Seemed overpriced overall.

We decided to eat at McLoone's Pier House at the National Harbor because we were in town for the Marine Corps Marathon. It was a quick walk from the Gaylord hotel where the Race Expo was being held, very convenient. The food was great, our service was wonderful and the sunset view was spectacular. Definitely would recommend this restaurant to a friend as well as return in the future!

Our friends got there before us - and were rushed as though they were late. They arrived 3 minutes before actual reservation time! We wanted to move tables - and did - but were told its going to be VERY busy. I can't even say the restaurant was 1/2 full. Our waitress was nice - but others seemed lost. maybe because they weren't busy and had nothing to do! Maybe it was just an off night for all.

Very courteous, professional and accommodating staff. We had the buffet brunch which was not kept as warm. However, the food was tasty and substantial portions. The dessert/pastry table could have included other desserts and elevated in presentation.

Overall we had a great dining experience. I will recommend to others. Thanks for accommodating our ever increasing numbers.

Date night with Trish and Vernon 09/23/17. Have been here on several occasions of our many visits to National Harbor and never disappointed until today. Here to celebrate our wedding anniversary with friends and had asked for a window table (party of 4). The hostess acknowledged our request, and immediately sat us at a mid room table. I turned and asked her about a window table pointing to the 3 tables that were empty by the window. She smiled and said they are probably reserved and we are really busy. REALLY???????? Some of the entrees were a bit less than what we had experienced in the past. The filet mignon was not as tender as would have been expected at the price ($39) and would be a stretch of the imagination to think it was anything over 6oz. The Caesar Salad with Grilled chicken was described as nothing less than excellent, moist chicken nicely seasoned and a great Caesar !!! Two entrees were the crab cakes. Both servings were nicely sized (about 4oz. per cake) but one of the cakes was very dry and none of the cakes were served hot....just slightly above room temperature. The smashed sweet potatoes and the vegetables were not even warm. Would have asked for them to be replaced, but did not see our server (who was not the one that delivered our entrees) and was not to be found for another 15+ minutes. When he did check in, he asked how everything was and I responded that our dinners were cold....he smiled and said good and asked if we needed anything right now. I just shook my head no. 10 minutes later he returned with our check and never even asked if we would like to see a dessert menu! Such a disappointing experience when we have always expected and received a positive experience in the past. They have a lot of competition near by, so people have plenty of options....and they should consider them. Sorry McLoones.....you really missed the mark this time.
