Great view of the ocean as old friends got together!
37 dollar entree 5 very small scallops And they were cold . waiter also never told us the specials . Avacodo crab tower much smaller than previous times .
Good food and great view. Very nice atmosphere. Go when it is stll daylight to enjoy the view!
Choice of food was outstanding. The crab cakes are delicious. My only complaint is that the shrimp should have been deveined. Carrot cake was amazing.
Yes as a romantic dinner or nice beach side dinner
I’ve been to McLoone’s several times in the past. It was a beautiful winter day this past Sunday so the place was jamming. Not sure if they just weren’t expecting a big crowd or couldn’t manage serving brunch and the lunch crowd but the food was not up to par by any means. The four of us were seated by a window table which had a perfect view of the beach. Our server was attentive for the most part. Our appetizer (wings) came out close to a half hour after we ordered. A couple who got seated after us received their two burgers before the app even came out. They were your typical wings, the sauces got mixed up though which wasn’t a huge issue. When our entrees arrived my sweet potato fries were cold and rubbery. The black bean burger had minimal taste and the guacamole didn’t seem fresh at all (maybe a day old?). The burgers were flat and over cooked with burnt edges. The crispy chicken sandwich ordered was good but the fries were barely warm. Maybe they’ve switched chefs or were just overwhelmed but this particular experience there was nothing to write home about. Hopefully it was just an off day but for the price we paid, they should have no off days here.
The food, service, view and whole atmosphere was lovely.
Great waiter was attentive. He came multiple times to ask if we needed anything else for our food: a.g. hot sauce, etc.
Food was great! Just wish the portions were a little bigger for the price we paid
The view was gorgeous, a last minute request for a window seat was granted despite how busy they were. The food was great. The Caesar salad wasn’t doused in dressing. You could taste the cold romaine and shaved Parmesan and crispy croutons & it wasn’t overwhelmed with the taste of dressing. The bread my crispy chicken sandwich came on was deliciously crunchy. And the portions were big enough to not allow for dessert which looked delicious.
Highly recommend this bright, airy affordable beachside restaurant.
Been going here for the last two years and this was absolutely the worst experience. Had the scallops, over cooked. My friend had lobster and it was cold. Service was almost non existent. Good server wearing pajamas? There was a couple that allowed their infant to screen them entire time and the staff did nothing. Very disappointed.
My meal had no flavor. Shrimp was over cooked. My husband’s meal was too salty. Very disappointing
The view is spectacular! The food is unique and delicious. The crab/avocado/mango appetizer was HUGE and the different flavors/textures made it a wonderful dish. Waitstaff was attentive and made great recommendations. I would definitely recommend for summer fare. The view is spectacular!
Nice restaurant on the beach. Friendly bartenders.
The honey shrimp was the best dish I’ve ever had from McLoones
My waitress gave me great advice about a dietary dish. It was awesome. Everyone at our table enjoyed the food very much
Outstanding for all. Good, service, ambiance, etc....
Food was fresh and outstanding. Service excellent. Restaurant was not busy so quiet until a group of 10 was seated right next to us - which I didn’t understand since there was plenty of other space.
Really like this place at all times of the year.
We had an out of town co-worker with us who had never been to the Jersey Shore. We picked McLoone's for dinner so she could sit directly on the waters edge! The food and atmosphere were excellent. A little pricey but best ocean views.
I didn’t think the food was great and I thought hit it was over priced. The view can’t be beat and the service was great!
The staff was very friendly, professional and attentive. I had a light lunch, of the crab and avocado tower which was good, and the French Onion soup. The soup wasn't good at all, didn't have a rich savory broth and had a strange taste. Don't know if I'd go back.
Beautiful setting on the beach. Food and service were wonderful.
Used to be one of our favorites but didn’t enjoy it as much this time. For some reason we were seated right next to one of the few occupied tables in the place. Tight squeeze for the staff every time. Felt a little pricey for the level of food. Cappuccino was lukewarm. Fish was a little dry. Sadly, slightly disappointed
NY’s Eve at Pier House was very nice. We had a lovely table overlooking the beach. Food was good.. wait staff was courteous and responsive. Felt a bit rushed, but we chalked it up to general extra energy of the evening.
Great New Years Eve!
Everything was great except for that my short rib. Half of the piece of meat I was served was all fat.
Raman our server was attentive yet not intrusive.
Edamame was cooked just right with just the right amount of salt.
Salad greens were fresh and crispy, my daughter’s shrimp well done.
Would come again!
Beautiful ocean view lunch. French onion soup and martinis were outstanding
Not after my last experience on Christmas Eve with my family.
Beautiful views. Cozy. Food and cocktails delicious. Staff is very friendly.
We had a wonderful meal together! Always a joy being at your restaurant
Excellent place to eat. Food, service , location all satisfying. Family members visiting from out of state enjoyed very much. Will return again for sure.
Meh....indifferent service, mediocre food. Told the waiter the bisque tasted like dishwater, which it did he could have cared less. Nice atmosphere and good bread. Overall there are a lot better options in the area.
We had a very nice experience at McLoone’s to celebrate the beginning of the holiday season with friends. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was very nice.
We were there for the brunch and it was very good. So was the service
Parents weekend lunch
I had booked our party of 6 for my daughter’s birthday and noted it was for a birthday...no one ever mentioned it. The waiter was difficult to find. The Lobster Bisque soup was the worst I have ever had! Sometimes too much cooking sherry ruins it but this soup had more taste issues than that and barely two pieces of lobster and those were tough. There was a very long gap between appetizers and entrees. One order of ravioli came out as a completely different dish and took quite a while to deliver the ravioli meal. I personally had the lobster crusted Halibut which had no flavor. This was my first and last time eating at McLoone’s Pier House and I do not recommend it.
I would recommend it for lunch or a weekend brunch. The views are spectacular of the lake. The service was ok. The food was average but pricy. There were very few customers the night we ate there but the servers seemed bored.
