The brunch has pretty much something for everyone. Especially loved the French toast with apples and the yummy petit fours and little cakes. Our server, Olivia, was very attentive, and made sure we had clean silverware and refills on drinks. This is a very baby and kid friendly place to have brunch or lunch. And given the lovely weather we were able to take a walk outside when we finished. Beautiful spot.

Had a lovely dinner with delicious food and attentive service to celebrate Valentine's Day before 2/14/18. Wanted to avoid the usual Valentine's Day rush. The grilled swordfish and seared tuna was fresh and tasty and the grilled asparagus was just right. We come to this restaurant often because we enjoy the atmosphere and the friendly service along with great food.

Request a table by the window at this waterside restaurant with a charming ambiance. The warm bread with spiced dipping oil was delicious; it was also accompanied by butter. My friend demolished a crab cake dish. My daughter's chicken fingers and fries were crispy gems. But my scallops were disappointing. The asparagus and mashed potatoes were mediocre. Next time, I'll stick to my favorites at this restaurant (fish tacos, salads, sandwiches, mushroom soup) and NOT order from the daily specials. Service was good with room for improvement. Our server forgot to bring the drink that was included with the kid's meal but it was quickly provided after I reminded her.

I asked my boyfriend to take me here for my birthday since I’d never been, but had passed by numerous times. The ambiance was perfect. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. All of the food was delicious - from the bread served with sundried tomato pesto to the desserts, chocolate lava cake and salted caramel cheesecake. We had the ahi tuna app and oysters, both extremely fresh and yummy. Then we both love seafood so he had the swordfish and I had the crab cakes. Both were delicious and portions were good. Would love to come back in the warmer weather to enjoy the deck!

We made a reservation for 4 people on a Sunday afternoon for our 50th wedding anniversary.. We did NOT want the brunch Buffet and we were told we could order off the menu. We were seated during the time of the Buffet at 3pm when the buffet ends at 3:15. Most of the people sitting near us were there for the buffet. The limited menu had very little and 2 of us found nothing we wanted . The manager was nice enough to try to help us and he did go out of his way to do that. I would suggest not to go to the Boathouse on Sunday afternoon during the brunch unless that s what you want. They need to address the many food sensitivities and allergies that are common now with their food staff and be able to make adjustments to accommodate patrons who know what they can and can not eat.

I took a date out on Friday night to McLoone's for the second time. The best description for the overall experience was just alright. The food from the appetizers to the entries were exactly what was expected, nothing stood out either good or bad. The fish was slightly overcooked but not so bad as to be returned and the service was a little slow and inattentive for the size of the crowd but not so much that it was a serious problem.

Like I said it was just alright.

A great, cozy location on a bitter cold winter day - fires blazing while enjoying the view of the icy lake.

Service was terrible. Table was not cleaned. They were out of several menu items. We never got our food. We walked out after 90 minutes of no service and no food. Terrible. Will never go back.
