Good food. Great ambiance!
I’ve been excited to try this restaurant for awhile, but unfortunately what the negative reviews said are true. We sat in the big room to the left when you walk in. It felt like a lunch hall. There were also a lot of families with young kids.
I don’t mind paying the higher prices for this type of food, however the food honestly wasn’t that good. I do feel like it was a waste of money and we were disappointed. I would not go back.
I took my grandchildren our for a birthday dinner (10 and 14 years old). We had not been out for dinner in over a year due to Covid. McLoone's handled the social distancing and mask wearing very well with plastic dividers (on wheels) between tables and all servers wearing masks so we felt very comfortable. We had steaks and they were delicious as well as cooked perfectly to each person's liking. Our waitress was training another young man and they were attentive, knowledgeable, and very friendly. They even took a photo of us at our table beside the fireplace.
I highly recommend McLoones.
We ate on the patio, had a 2:00 reservation and were seated immediately. The food was good and the service was excellent. Everyone was very nice from the hostess at the front to the extremely attentive wait server. It was a great lunch on a beautiful day!
The restaurant was dirty. I was mortified to see the staff sweeping the food, napkins and other garbage off the tables onto the floors and taking quite a bit of time to come around to sweep. Our server forgot about us and our main dishes, it took an hour to get a burger and pasta. Beverages were barely refilled, not even the water.
It’s a shame the service is so awful bc the food is really good.
Took over 15 minutes after being seated before any server even greeted us. Fine, we weren’t in a hurry, but still...
It is clear there is little to no training happening here so I don’t blame the staff; this is a management issue.
A runner brought out appetizer with no small plates. Is that on the runner or server? When entree came, runner didn’t clear appetizer plates. We had to track down our server to request check bc she was no where to be found. She gave us check but didn’t clear any plates.
This is basic restaurant service that is clearly missing.
Salmon oreganato was excellent
Best restaurant I been to in my whole life. I totally recommend the New Zealand rack of lamb!!
It was Easter Sunday so while they probably aren't used to a full house at this point after a year of COVID, and assuming the waiters are probably also new - it was fine but it wasn't great. I've worked in hospitality so am very patient but it took an hour to even get our drinks. At least if we had a drink, it would have been more acceptable to wait for apps for that long also. The tables around us seemed to be having similar issues. Food was OK but all in all, it was too expensive for the experience.
Great place with great atmosphere and service. The food is expensive so it should have all been perfect but it fell a little short of excellent. Food was not hot enough and coffee as well was not hot enough. But overall I would love to go back for a special dinner or lunch, so pretty there.
Food was great and quantity for the price was outstanding.
Excellent Easter Brunch
Easter Bruch was family style but service was slow. Omelette’s came out at once but the sides , bacon sausage, potatoes came out after our omelettes were finished. They told us that our slotted time to dine was 1 1/2 hrs but we were there for 2 1/2 because of slow service. We requested all three options for dessert, cookies, pastries and fruit. For a party of 6 we only received 6 cookies and when asked where the pastries and fruit we were told they are “running low” on pastries. After about 15 minutes we received some fruit and a few pastries. I was disappointed to say the least.
We went to McLoones for Easter breakfast and it was absolutely amazing. The roasted lamb was my favorite! Our waitress was super attentive and just overall great!
Service was great, and the view from the patio was really nice. Good/drinks are a little pricey but not unexpected for the location.
AMAZING service. Nicole was our waitress and she was so considerate and accommodating! We felt so special and will 100% come back to celebrate other special events! They even gave us a card! Not to mention the food was lovely!!!
This was my 1st time in an indoor restaurant since March 2020 due to the pandemic. The spacing and accommodations that have been added were wonderful and my party felt very safe. The food and drinks were delicious and the staff was friendly.
Service was slow...
Food was cold and disgusting
This is our fifth trip to McLones. The food and service were terrible. Last time we order anything but an overpriced burger
Unfortunately, McLoone's seems to have declined recently. We had a reservation but waited 30-40 mins to be seated, and it wasn't busy at all. Service was subpar and our table was dirty when we were seated. Food was good as always, but the lackluster service killed it for us.
The food was delicious and our server Nicole was such a joy! We will definitely return and ask to be seated in her section if she is working.
Blackened chicken is some of the best I've had. My husband raved about the lunch steak.
Very nice outdoor seating with view of the water. Food was decent. Nothing special but solid.
We sat outside overlooking the water at night, so lovely setting. Ordered 3 steaks, each medium rare. All 3 were nearly raw in the middle. One was sent back. Got a new steak, also raw in the middle. Server took off price of one steak (we didn't mention the other 2). First time there for dinner. Kind of odd that a restaurant that features steak can't seem to get medium rare. Otherwise the food and service were good. Expensive though, especially the drinks.
Our waiter was very attentive.
However a lot of things went wrong here & set the tone.
Our appetizer arrived before our drinks, not sure why? We ordered the calamari & had to send it back because it was over cooked & too salty. We then order the mussels instead. They were good however we did not get the crostini's that were to be accompanied with it.
Our main courses were pretty good.
Restaurant ambiance was very good, food and drinks were fantastic. Our waiter was Ian and he was amazing, he was very attentive and well educated on the menu.
Took my wife out to dinner on her birthday. We had a great evening. Our waitress was on point and never had us waiting for anything. I wish I remembered her name to give her the credit !
I enjoyed the experiences the drinks were really good and I enjoyed the appetizers. I feel like the covid precautions were good. Would go back
Thank you for the feedback, we are delighted to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon!!
GREAT food and service.
I love the ambiance. Didn't care for my entrée beef ragu. However, I enjoyed my time there.
There were ants crawling on our table and part way through our meal we requested a change in tables.
Food was excellent, cocktails excellent, service excellent...although they appeared to be a little understaffed. Could have just been the day. And it didn’t affect our party personally but we witnessed other parties experiencing delays.
Overall McLoone’s is a favorite place to dine.
A wonderful lunch, made extra special by our superb server.
Everyone of your employees was attentive, but the young woman who was our server made a lovely day even better.
Sat outside and had a nice view of the water in the park. Our server, Camilla, was outstanding and made our visit a great experience. Black bean burger has been taken off the regular menu but was a special. Would love to see it added back to the regular menu.
Food was good and the view was awesome (outside). Unfortunately had awful service!! The only saving grace was the manager. He was awesome and brought us waters and also ran our check while we were waiting for the server (for a longgg time).
Beautiful day to sit outside for a meal overlooking the reservoir. We’ve eaten at the restaurant for lunch before, but never dinner. Everything was delicious and the service was great!
I made a 2:30 p.m. appointment for outdoor seating brunch. We arrived at exactly 2:30 p.m. and were told they were running behind and they would text me in 15-30 minutes when a table was ready. Fine. We went outside to wait. After 45 minutes had passed with no text, I went back inside to check-in. It appears they had forgotten about us entirely. A manager happened to be standing behind the desk this time and I explained our wait - she found a table for us almost immediately. Once seated (around 3:15 p.m.), a number of waiters and servers walked by our table without stopping. We finally stopped a server walking by at 4:30 p.m. because I just wanted water, at least! The server said she wasn't assigned to our table but was happy to help. She was great! We ordered pinot grigio, a charcuterie board, firecracker shrimp, mussels, and (2) shrimp Caesar salads. It took the food a while to come out, but everything delicious! We were seated in a semi-secluded area of the patio and it was mostly quiet. Food and service was great once we got it, but having my 2:30 reservation start at 4:30 p.m. was not ideal!
Waited longer than expected. We ordered a started that did not arrive before our food. Asked for drinks 3 times and felt like we were last priority.
Some of the meal was tasty but most entries were very ordinary. Not worth the price charged. The waiter did not even bring us water or a menu for the first 30 minutes. And then the appetizer and salads all came at the same time. He would have brought the main course if we did not ask him to wait until we finished the salads.
The noise level was so high that we had to stop having a conversation. Wait for warmer weather and enjoy the patio. Sandwiches are much better than the main course.
We had a great server! Nice outdoor seating too.
