   It was my first time dining with you today, on the occasion of my daughter’s 26th birthday. I made arrangements for a table of 3, and had made a request for a cake slice and a birthday candle to be served during our meal when I made the reservations. I also reminded the desk when I checked in upon arrival. The birthday cake and candle never arrived during our meal. Our server was busy so we requested for help from a young man for a copy of the menu — he was dressed in black and was walking up and down the floors, and seemed upset with our request for the dessert menu, so we waited for our server to come to our table instead. I ordered two slices of cake dessert. After paying the bill, I reminded the front desk again about the cake and the candle - I was told it will arrive shortly. Unfortunately it never did. We had another appointment so we already had to leave. It was a disappointing service today, and thought I’d write and let you know. Your restaurant is very nice to visit, but given my service experience today I think I’ll have second thoughts about returning.

   Service was horrible. We waited 25 minutes for a waiter to come to the table to take our drink order. Our dinner took over 30 minutes to come out. Our drinks still were not served even after dinner arrived. We had to ask for our drinks. Food was good but the service took away from the meal. Definitely will not be going back for dinner.

   I know everywhere is short staffed, which is fine, but out drinks took a while and I had to ask my server 3 times for bread. Finally the person who dropped off our food promptly gave it to us. The food was good. However I wont be back. The 1st time I was there I called and asked if they were taking reservations which was told only walk ins. . When I got there 20 min later I was told it was a 3 hour wait. I asked why I want told on the phone? There always seems to be an issue with this location. I never had a problem in Asbury which is where I will continue to go. But as for the price of food, not worth the time or effort.

   Prior to the pandemic brunch was phenomenal but after going there Sunday I was so surprised with the quality of the food. The French toast was stale and cold, the potatoes weren’t great and the bacon was really hard. Hopefully this improves overtime.

   We enjoyed our lunch outside on the terrace. It was a very enjoyable lunch. Food was delicious. Overlooking he lake was beautiful. Service was good.

    The bar was being renovated during business hours. Fries were cold. Fish tacos were not good. Clams on half shell weren't fresh and I eat them other places. A piece of coconut cloud cake was $12.00

    Wait staff was very challenged and stretched thin, we waited 15 minutes to even be asked to order drinks. We did not receive bread at the table, and it seemed the waiters only cared about the tables with the large groups. Service for those groups seemed much better than ours

    About 20 min after ordering I suddenly received my entree, without having received my cocktail order or appetizer yet. Reason given was “We’re backed up today” and they “ran out of alcohol”. I got the cocktail several min later and a while after that got my soup which was barely lukewarm. But the halibut entree was very good and the New England clam chowder was very good otherwise. This was on a busy Saturday. I would come back for the quality of the food but only on a weeknight I guess. The surroundings are very pretty which is the main selling point.

    We've eaten at McLoone's dozens of times over all the years they've been in W. Orange. This is the 2nd time in a month we had bad service and mediocre food. I don't fault the server who was very nice. I do think management isn't functional.

    We waited 15 minutes for a drink at the bar. After being seated outside, we waited another 20 minutes before the waitress greeted us. It took so long to get the appetizer, we decided to pay the check and have dinner at another restaurant. The waitress was nice but the service was incredibly slow.

    The place is very nice. My halibut was delicious. The drinks were also good. Only draw back we waited an hour for appetizers. Very very slow kitchen.

    My first time dining indoors because rain closed the porch. The main room with the fireolace was not as loud as the bar, but not as private as the porch feels. Bacon-wrapped scallops were thankfully neither greasy nor too salty, but the scallops while cooked, were cold. Calamari was crisp but sauce was meh: think that's my personal preference for a fruity salsa with some heat, instead of the bland marinara served. I had a special of Cajan penne with shrimp, just the right spiciness, big plump fresh not overcooked shrimp. My three fellow diners all had the blackened mahi mahi with garlic mashed potatoes and cleaned their plates; I forgot to inquire if it was exceptional because we were having very animated conversation. Our perky server apologized for the slow delivery of drinks and food: the kitchen may be understaffed as most are these days. All in all a good meal for friends coming from Brooklyn and Jersey City and my drive from Bergen County was 40 minutes: we come here for exceptional food and the view from the porch. Last night was my least enjoyable at one of my favorite restaurants; can't fault the restaurant for the rain, only the misses on some dishes.

    The Boathouse itsef was absolutely beautiful, but the prices were out of line for the food quality. But the service was seriously disappointing. We waited a long time to order, then a long time to receive our drinks. Our order was messed up, fries instead of salad and then she made us give back the fries. Then we waited a long time again to get out bill and then another 20 minutes to pay. It would have been understandable if the place was busy, but servers were just standing around talking to each other. I would not return.

    Father’s Day 2022. Had reservations for 7 PM, was seated immediately. We were sat in the room to the right which is nothing like the main dining room. Dark, dirtyLooking and no Eye appeal at all. The wait staff was very slow ,waited over an hour for two drinks out of four ordered. We placed our food order shortly after our drink order but never received anything after an hour and 20 minutes and never received our other two drinks. Asked to speak to a manager who wasn’t very helpful. We got up and left. I would never go back there again, I wouldn’t even send my dog.

    We had reservations for five and spent over two hours to receive our food. We understood that it was Father’s Day but they were severely backed up. There’s also been some menu changes and I am not a fan!

    We went for the Sunday brunch for Father's day. I made reservations and we were seated roughly 15 minutes after arriving. The food was great and the view was amazing. I wish the service was a little better. He didn't check back that much and we needed to track him down for refills a few times. Also we needed him to clear the plates for when we went back up to the buffet. Otherwise everything was great!!

    I'm somewhat in the middle with my overall view. If you're looking for a place with great scenery and ambiance, this place is perfect. The service and staff are also very professional and pleasant. Our waitress was excellent and accommodating. The portion sizes of the food were not agreeable. the prices are up there and for the amount that you are expected to pay, you'd want to at least feel like you were served a decent amount. Most of the party that was with me, including me also didn't like the dryness of the food. It almost seemed overcooked or dried out. This portion was a disappointment for me. I also think that they should allow parties over 8 people to enjoy the outdoors and not stuff us all in a corner at a rectangle table where you have to scream at each other across the table. That was also uncomfortable.

    I took my father here for Father’s Day. I was disappointed…I had read the reviews before hand but went in with a very open mind. The whole reason I requested to sit outside was because of the so called views and ambiance. Well there was none! When seated at Our table, after sitting, I first noticed how dirty the table was! Food on the umbrella pole and floor under table… really gross to have to keep looking at during Our meal, also the menu was greasy and had hand prints on it! Seemed as if who ever is responsible for cleaning the tables, menus and dining areas after people eat, are not doing there Job! With that being said, I ordered the Chicken entree and My Dad ordered the Fish. Both came out fairly quick but not very hot. I ordered Broccolini with My Chicken and when they brought my food to the table, there was no Broccolini! No problem, I was kind and patient but dissappointed and hungry! So I had to call our server back to the table and tell him! Apparently who brings out your food, is not your server but a food runner. The server was very apologetic and said he would go to the kitchen and get My Broccolini. After waiting almost 20 minutes longer, he brought it out to me! So by this time, my Chicken was Cold… and although the Chicken was fairy tasty, for $30 the little portion They give You is kind of Ridiculous! I did not complain at all to Anyone because I did not want to ruin my Dad’s Father’s Day celebration. I feel there is no management in this establishment doing what they should be doing to assure Customers are happy and being taken care of properly and things are cleaned properly. Would I go back? That is another Story…🤷🏻‍♀️

    Super disappointed with the entire experience. Our drinks came out super late. Our food came out super late. They messed up our order. Better management is needed to ensure that during the transition between lunch and dinner there is enough staff to efficiently accommodate guests.

    We were disappointed. The staff was very inattentive and service was extremely slow. We had to find our servers to get refills of water or anything else we may have needed. The food was good although it took over an hour to prepare. It was just overall disappointing as we were there for a celebration and it was overshadowed by hunger pains and complaints about how poorly run the restaurant was.

    We liked the outdoor seating but food and service were fair. We had the blackened mahi mahi which was good. The salmon was well prepared. Potatoes weren’t hot enough. Lots of families enjoying dinner there so if you are looking for a more ramsntic experience go later in the evening.

    The restaurant itself and the scenery are great however some areas of the restaurant could use a refresh. The chairs are made of a cloth material and had many many stains. Server was great but delivery of food was slow and took a long time to get. My meal was a NY strip with fries. The steak was not good and later that night my toilet was punished with the after effects.
