We had a reservation for opening (10:30) for the Sunday brunch. When we arrived around 10:20 and eventually entered at 10:30 it was very unorganized. No one to assist us or guide us to where we needed to go. When we eventually got to the front hostess desk, the hostess was very nice and we were able to sit outside. This is where the problems began. We were sat off the other side, unlike the rest of the guests being sat in a common area on the outside. We sat several tables down the opposite way. After sitting there for 10-15 minutes, and no staff acknowledging us, we went inside. We asked how things worked and they began to explain a buffet as is we we’re stupid. What we really meant was, where was the staff? Despite there being more staff than guests, not a single person came to our table for the first half hour or more. Finally after our first plates and sitting there again for a while, we got up to ask if there were ways to get drinks. And again, the staff we spoke to with an attitude, said we ask our server for them. Which we finally proceeded to explain, we would IF we had a server. Finally after that conversation, 10 minutes later we finally had a lovely staff member come by to get a drink order and apologized because they weren’t informed we were sat. However, that interaction along with the drinks served, and maybe once more, that was the only time we saw them. No refills, no other help. Just that. The food was good, but way overpriced and the staff gave off a “we don’t want to be here vibe.” I enjoyed what we ate but would probably not go again. All I wanted was a nice brunch, come coffee and a Sunday with no worries.

We had a wonderful experience at Tim McLoone's Boathouse in West Orange. The location is convenient to the zoo, the ice rink, shopping and major roads. The ambience is relaxed and inviting. The food was delicious and plentiful. Our server, Nate, was attentive to all our needs. We were encouraged to relax and enjoy our time there. It was our first time at the Boathouse, but it certainly won't be our last.

First time dining at McLoon’s Boathouse and Winn the the last. We had Raw oysters, Short Rib bolognese, Ravioli Burrata with a corn sauce. Finished dinner with warm brownie and Ice Crean. Can’t wait to go back!!!!

Their systems were down so they had no idea we had a reservation. They offered high top but we have someone on a cane so no good. They said had no room but then they went out of their way to find something. So you and the restaurant can’t coordinate?

Great food and service but was really slow to get us to our table for Father's Day. Not many allergy friendly options for the kids. Really nice restaurant and the service was fantastic.

Breakfast buffet is outrageously expensive. It’s all you can eat it there’s no way I could ever eat enough to justify the per person cost.
