Booked for drinks & a bar bite, comfortable seating, snack adequate, Prosecco very nice. Service very good, bit noisy for late afternoon had to ask for music volume to be turned down a bit and very noisy screaming children next to us, which wasn’t venue’s fault. Would return but be more careful re seating choice!

We visited to celebrate our son’s graduation. The staff were fantastic and surprised us with a bottle of fizz to help the celebrations along . The food was fab too .

Booked online which did not say how long I could have the table for. We were asked to move. Next time I will book in person inside McLarens when you are able to say how long you would like to stay.

Best meal yet at McLaren's, proper restaurant food, not just pub grub. A bit pricier than it used to be, but that probably applies to most establishments since Covid, and anyway still good value. Nice lively atmosphere without being too noisy, and friendly, attentive service. Will definitely be back.

A very poor lunch menu……two of us there and didn’t enjoy the food. TV on showing Football……..have eaten there before but decided to give it one more try, sadly won’t be back unless a change for the better re choice of food.

After having been at McLarens on the Corner around a dozen times we’ll not be back for a while - if at all! Normally the food is top notch and service class but was the complete opposite this time around! Service - The waiter was a nightmare! We had a relatively large order (4 breakfasts) and instead of writing the order down he tried to do it from memory. Had to come back twice to confirm our order and still got it wrong! Food - Cold, especially my nine year old daughter’s scrambled egg! Thing is, the egg was one of the things missed so you’d think it have been hot! Bill - Had to ask for it twice and there seemed to be a bit of shock when I stated I didn’t want to pay the Service Charge because of the reasons above. When asked if everything was okay we stayed the problems and there wasn’t really an apology or anything else said - strange! Other Stuff - The place wasn’t busy but clearly they were struggling. We were served before other tables and others needed to ask to be served. One table didn’t even have Menus!

I wasn't that impressed with the menu choices and thought some of the dishes overpriced for what they were. The venue is a great location but not sure I'd recommend this as a place to eat

Cosy place to be on a particularly wet night. Food very tasty - the half size fish was a perfect size and great value. The chips were fabulous. Staff all very friendly and attentive without being intrusive.

I had booked the table a few weeks prior but nobody advised at that point that there was going to be a quiz while we were dining. I did receive a phone call a few hours before the meal telling us however. This was too late to change our plans so we thought we’d go ahead anyway but actually when the quiz started 45 mins into our meal it was so loud we couldn’t hear each other so we left as soon as we’d finished our main course and went to a quieter bar for the remainder of our evening.

Food was lovely and staff was very helpful and friendly. Toilets were not great though and looked as though they haven’t been checked for the whole day. Music was loud at 530pm and I probably wouldn’t bring my children back there again for dinner. Lunchtime with children have always been great though and children food options are very good!

Treat for my husband & I to get a peaceful Sunday breakfast away from the kids. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was fab. We had our dog with us and everyone was very accommodating. Love McLarens! Will be back for sure. Anyone want to have my kids....??

For a Saturday evening it was quiet It has a nice ambiance but we booked the tables with fire which no longer function. Food ok in main but pasta dish was completely tasteless. Will not be back

Unfortunately order was wrong, meat undercooked and pregnant. Was taken back to kitchen and whole plate reheated which cause all to be dry and over cooked.

Poor service sadly. Moved twice also and felt pressured to leave. We were out beside a kids party so noise level bad. Lights turned down so low we couldn’t see each other. No teaspoons with coffee, not enough napkins. A long time to get extra oatcakes as they were few and far between. Won’t be back. .

Enjoyed a lovely brunch at mclarens. Food and staff were great. It was nice being able to enjoy food and drinks without a time limit on our table or if there was, felt no pressure from staff to leave.
