Mckoy's Smokehouse & Saloon is an old school barbecue restaurant and smokehouse. This is a family owned business that was imagined by brothers Ryan and Jim and their father Namon. The restaurant itself is named after the group's grandfather, McKoy. All of the barbecue recipes that are used are passed down from McKoy and have been proven again and again over the years.McKoy's Carolina-style barbecue is especially popular in Charlotte. There are all the staples of barbecue restaurants like brisket, smoked chicken, ribs and more. There are also some things on the menu which guests wouldn't expect like a blackened fish sandwich, smoked barbecue pork quesadillas and buffalo shrimp that have been lightly battered and tossed in a made from scratch buffalo sauce. Fried green tomatoes are a popular appetizer, but many guests will also order them as a side with their meal.
