Recently remodeled in 2015, McKnight’s Bar and Grill located inside the Holiday Inn St. Paul East is a cozy bar and lounge offering a diverse menu of American cuisine. We also offer a full bar with an amazing selection of the trendiest and hoppiest tap beers. The selection changes often and we dedicate a line for seasonal selections. Happy hour daily from 4:00pm - 6:00pm and also Friday and Saturday night 9:00pm - 11:00pm. Karaoke every Saturday in the Bar from 9pm-1am.

    The menu had been changed from prior visit. VERY DISAPPOINTING. Told my cousin and her husband from New Richmond Wisconsin to meet us half way. We live in Ramsey, MN. Told them how good the Walleye and Steaks were here. When we arrived. We were very embarrassed when the menu came out. They only had Lunch type food and it turned out to be NOT GOOD AT ALL. Waitress was nice and polite. That was the only positive about the whole encounter.

    I was looking for a place to celebrate a friends birthday. I looked at previous reviews and was a little worried that it had gone down from when I was there last. But, to my surprise, the experience was better than I remembered. Our server ALEXUS!, was awesome. She came right over after we were seated, made suggestions and was very attentive to our needs. She made our experience a little extra special. The food was wonderful. I miss the Monte Cristo's they used to serve but the chicken sandwich with pesto mayo on ciabatta was awesome. I will be back.

    Took 25 minutes to get the appetizer we ordered and there were 3 waitresses and 3 tables of people including mine. Made a reservation for no reason as the information was never taken. If you dont care about these things you would be fine going but when you get your meal 5 minutes after your appetizer comes out when you had 25 minutes of no food it gets annoying fast.

    The server was not attentive at all. Never checked on our meals until the very end. Had to ask a different server for refills on water. Paying the check took forever.

    Restaurant was not busy when we were there. We were able to sit down right away. I liked that they had popcorn. Food came up pretty quickly, but the onion petals and the fried walleye were rather greasy, like the oil in their fryer wasn't quite hot enough. the chicken Pesto sandwich was good.

    Our waitress was fantastic! The Rueben Sandwich was the best I have had in some time. We would go back again!

    Started out a bit rocky...there wasn't a table reserved for the 5 of us, so we were fortunate there was a table available as the place filled up rather quickly. The server, Drea, was fairly new and didn't come to greet us for a painstakingly long time, however, he redeemed himself as the evening went on. Also, the GM, Tim, was amazing and very personable; he made us feel like we were at his own place and not just the manager. Would definitely recommend and pay no attention to the reviews that say the restaurant is noisy cuz it opens up to the lobby...the lobby is way, way around the corner...the restaurant is open to an entrance to the restaurant as well as the room upstairs that hosts wedding receptions, etc., so you hardly notice any noise or traffic. And, whoever said this was the most romantic place to take your bride?! It's just right for a hotel as well as a family gathering, plus they had televisions with sports games on! Enjoy!!

    We were very happy with our decision to dine out at McKnight's. The food was outstanding. Each member of the staff was welcoming and extraordinarily friendly. I read multiple reviews in advance. Yes - it wasn't crowded, but honestly, that was very nice! We were there early on a Saturday evening and I overheard people talking about the karaoke that night so I wouldn't be surprised if they are busy at times.

    Food was above our expectations and the bar is generally a good time. We have been there before for weddings, drinks, meeting up with friends but never food and I was thoroughly thrilled with nice size portions and delicious food.
