Catering
McKendrick’s Steak House is a truly traditional American steakhouse, decorated in dark woods, soft lighting, and oversized leather booths. The menu parallels this classic authenticity, keeping menu selections simple yet unforgettable. Chef Thomas Minchella handpicks his products, and serves only those that meet his scrupulous standards in quality and taste. Most notable include the dry-aged bone-in ribeye, South African lobster tails, four-cheese macaroni with lobster meat, and turtle gelato pie.

This was nothing short than an amazing night. The food was so good. We had the best waiter. His name is Evan. Ask for him. He will take great care of you. The steak was good and tender. Quiet atmosphere and wasn't noisy. We had late reservations so it was perfect timing and not crowded. I had the 8oz filet with a crab sauce (chefs special). It was so good.

I was welcomed by the very attentive and courteous staff. I server (waiter) was always there when a glass needed refilling but did not intrude on our meeting or the pace of things.
My guest had a stake salad and I a stake sandwich, mine was very nice and my quest claimed to enjoy his just as much. I would recommend McKendrick's for this purpose or really any other great staff and food!

McKendrick’s absolutely exceeded my expectations. From the African Lobster Tail to the Ribeye and the creamed spinach, everything was absolutely delicious. The ambiance was one of sophistication and romance. It was a beautiful restaurant coupled with outstanding service. My water glass was never halfway empty! I highly recommend this restaurant for a nice date.

Excellent food - probably one of the better steakhouses in Atlanta.

So not impressed! We came here to celebrate my husband's birthday. We eat at a lot of great steakhouses so we thought we'd try this one since we haven't been here in a couple of years. So disappointed. To begin with, the shrimp cocktail and crab app was fine. All of our steaks came out barely warm and flavorless and had to be sent back. My husband's NY Strip was pretty good, but the filets were flavorless. The waiter assured us that he would heat the filets up but not cook them anymore than what they were already cooked. Great! Not! He brought them back and they were still terrible. I could've gotten a better filet at Outback for a fraction of the cost. The waiter recommended the brussel sprouts that tasted like bacon fat and the asparagus that we ordered tasted like nothing more than steamed asparagus that you would make at home....bland and no seasoning. We literally spent $500 and had one of the most unsatisfying meals. I will never go back. Also, for a steak house where you spend $500 you would think people would dress a little nicer than a t-shirt and jeans.

Food, ambiance and service was very good, my only quibble is the size of the drink glasses, very small in terms of quantity. I've eaten and many of the steakhouses in Atlanta, and by far they had the smallest cocktail glasses.

We love McKendrick's! Went for Valentine's Day and had a wonderful meal. I splurged and has steak and lobster tail. Fantastic meal. We love the fact that the throw their steaks on a 1700 degree broiler for a few seconds on each side to sear in the juices/flavor before cooking it on regular broiler. Makes for a much better steak.

One Of my favorite steak places to go. The timing of server Taking our order and bring out our food was very slow. It was also pretty loud in the restaurant.

I was expecting $$ but was pleasantly surprised for the lunch menu. The service are top notch and my salmon was done absolutely perfectly. The salmon was hot and so slightly crisp and Asian salad was cool but not as if it have been stored in a refrigerator. This would be awesome for a date but now I know it's also a great place to meet a friend for lunch.

The noise level from the bar made it hard to have a conversation at our table

We were seated exactly at our reservation time, the hostess was very friendly but then it took at least 20 minutes before we ever had a server come take our drink order. I wanted to go ahead an order an appetizer for the table and told the server to put the appetizer on my tab - she asked if we wanted separate checks like it was the worst thing we could have ever requested. The service was terrible the entire evening. The food was delicious. My only disappointment in the food was the seafood tower - for $25 a person I would have expected more than 1 shrimp and 1 oyster per person; I understand only 1 piece of lobster per person. I have had the tower here as well as other places before and this seems to be the worst value for the price I have seen. I am sure we will return at some point but will not order the seafood tower and hope the service is what you would expect for this type of dinner.
