We go to McKendricks for special occasions as it’s special. Service, Food - outstanding. Basically 5 stars for all but being picky for unrealistic expectations. The low lighting made me tired-ordered a coffee. Limited people as it was early but placed next to another table where we heard their conversation. Will always go back f/ special events & they were prepared f/ the BDay! McK’s is everything you should expect f/ a high value restaurant- Bar was busy so great place to have a drink (Personal/Business
Dinner was amazing, our server Kimberly was wonderful. Highly recommend the lobster Mac.
McKendrick’s has been our go to
steak place for many years. Reliably consistent. Marcus was superb.
Great food, service a little too attentive; clearing plates quickly really before finished, asking several times for drinks etc but food quality excellent.
A beautiful birthday celebration with fabulous food and exceptional service!!
Always a pleasure, all food was incredible, especially my rib eye. One of our favorites in Atlanta!
My server Marcus was exceptional. Everything he recommend was perfect. When I return I will request Marcus as my server. Everything was great!!
Very professional and attentive. Wait staff and bar tenders have a long tenure.
We truly enjoyed the evening, music and atmosphere were great, service was excellent and food was wonderful!!
Great restaurant for special occasions. Food preparation and taste are excellent, desserts to die for. Ambiance is nice - not stuffy. Very attentive service.
McKendrick’s is amazing. They have perfected fine dining. Every person was a specialist in their position. From the hostess to the waiter to the bartender to the manager. Each person was welcoming, professional and thoughtful. Our server Michael had timing down to a science. He brought drinks at the right time, salads perfectly spaced out from the appetizer and the main course and waited instead of rushing us into dessert. The food was perfect, Michael gave a thorough and complete description of the specials and completely sold me on the Copper River Salmon that is a once a year treat. Our filet mignon and the salmon were cooked perfectly, side dishes were simple perfection.
Many restaurants are trying to build back the major loss of skilled personnel but not McKendrick’s. The entire staff conducted themselves with the utmost skill and attention to the customer.
We had a wonderful dinner and truly felt catered to while dining at McKendrick’s.
My steak was little tuff and fatty and baked potato undercooked and warm not hot. The spinach was great and the crab cakes were good. The calamari was very good.
I’ll start by saying the food was incredible, truly one of the best steaks I’ve had in some time. Overall the experience was a let down though. First the dress code was not enforced at all. There was a person next to us in cargo shorts and flip flops and another gentlemen at the bar in gym shorts. Our waiter’s service was intermittent at best and we also received no recognition of celebrating an anniversary - a first for an upscale restaurant such as this when notified in advance. Again, the food was incredible, but I can get great steaks a lot of places. We wanted to pay $300+ an upscale experience and that didn’t happen. I’d suggest going to Bones or Little Alley for special occasions.
Great lunch at McKendrick's. It's been almost a year since visiting. Service was great, right on point, French Dip with grilled veggies as the side was great. Everything was spot on with the visit, food quality, check out, etc.
Great experience. My family and I enjoyed the evening. The food was very good as it always is. The entire McKendrick's staff makes you feel that everything is being done specifically for you.
Mark was the best , and we were treated so royally. A long time coming, but McKendricks does it right.
Service was inconsistent. Had to send back steak and one server spilled the plate on my dress.
Wife’s Birthday! We had our friends telling us “over the years” that Mckindricks was the place to go in Atlanta for the best steaks and service. So I decided to make it happen. Wish I had not.
The 12 oz Filet was burnt on the outside, not a good char but burnt and rare / cold on the inside and tasted like a cheap cut of discounted meat. Baked sweet potato,, one half tasted fine, the wife’s end. Unfortunately my end of the sweet potato tasted like soap. When you send back the steak, complaining about the quality and not being cooked right on a 59.00 item, one would expect the manager or someone, cook, dishwasher, anyone co come by and check on you. Nope, not at here. On the positive my wife enjoyed her salmon very much. I went ahead and had the water bring me an order of the salmon. My wife was finished with her meal long before mine arrived. But at least it was cooked right. I made the water take away the nasty sweet potato at this time as well. Did I mention that no one from management had come by. They still had not come by. The water made a point of telling my wife that He would be paying for her dessert.
Don’t know why someone decided not to come by our table to explain what came out of the kitchen. I did get the bill and got to pay for everything but the desert and the crud steak. Yep I got the opportunity to pay for that nasty sweet potato, and I did pay for it. So I guess you can say, I paid for the right to share my experience.
Wonderful evening. Incredible service and food. I highly recommend for a nice evening
My daughter enjoyed her first experience at remarkable steakhouse. She really would like to return and try different cuts of steak. Her 19th birthday was definitely enjoyable.
It wasn’t as good as Ruth Chris, but I would still recommend them a good steakhouse 👍🏾🌞
It was a “big” number birthday for me and between my friends and the entire staff at McKenerick’s, the whole evening was spectacular! The food was good and our server Bradley was awesome. We love McKenerick’s and staff! The bartenders, Brian and Pablo were awesome too! Thanks again
A great spot for a business meal!
Always one of my favorites. Consistent high quality by every concievable metric. You truly get what you pay for.
Nice to see a dress code. And to see the dress code actually being enforced confirms McKendrick's commitment to maintaining their exceptional standards.
The food & service followed suit and were top notch. The 8oz filet was better than the previous time I dined at the restaurant, if that is even possible.
Can't wait to return!
While the ambience and service was good, I do not believe the value is there to back up the hefty price tag of the meals. All of our meals came out lukewarm, and the cream corn had to be sent back because it was spoiled. I do not think I will return.
Took the family out for the first time in a long time and really enjoyed it. The steaks, lobster macaroni and deserts were all great. Thanks for the great memory.
Staff were very attentive and friendly. Enjoyable dinner
McKendricks always offers up an excellent experience. Brian, the maitre d', has a way of making you feel like a member of the family that is being welcomed home. The wait staff is solid and most have been there for many years. Marcus is particularly knowledgeable about the wine list if you need a recommendation.
On a recent trip, I had the filet and it was grilled to perfection and so flavorful it would be a sin to put a sauce on it. The Brussels sprouts with bacon are a solid choice for a side and treat yourself with the Grand Marnier creme brulee. But really, any choice you make at McKendrick's is a good one.
In my humble but often correct opinion, this is one of the absolute best steakhouses in Atlanta. The service was somewhat slow on this outing, but nothing awful.
Went for business Great chopped sirloin, enjoyed the lunch.
Went to McKendrick’s for Mother’s Day, although it was not the best experience I have ever had it definitely was not worst. Both the choices of wine and appetizers my Mother and I had were excellent and delicious. Unfortunately, the entrees were an entirely different story. We ordered two filet mignon steaks, one medium rare and the other well done. We received, after a considerable amount of time waiting, two non-seasoned, dried, medium rare steaks. I was afraid to send the steaks back due to the length of time it took to receive them the first go around. The sauce served with the steaks did not even have a taste to it to help with the dryness of the steaks. I consider myself a very understanding and patient person. The waiter was awesome and I understand that due to the holiday service would, of course, be affected. However, when I pay over $300 for an entire meal and only half of my food was decent, my understanding and patience runs a little thin. It will definitely be a while before I go back to McKendrick’s.
Was not worth the money and no chicken on the menu!! Who doesn’t offer chicken????
I took my wife for Mother’s Day and we both enjoyed it. Our sever, Mark, was helpful and courteous. We definitely plan on returning again. The price was worth the entire experience.
Bradley great server and food is outstanding
McKendricks 5 starts across the board. Our waiter Brian made it even better. The food was so good starting with the baked oysters, lobster tail and bbq shrimp - wonderful wine list. Tuna steaks cooked to perfection and oh so good - beef steaks tender and flavorful. lots of wonderfully prepared sides. great dining experience
It was excellent as always and we’ve been coming for 18 years💞
Not as good as it used to be. Food was good, service was not.
McKendrick’s is our go to special occasion restaurant. We just celebrated Mother’s Day and McKendrick’s did not disappoint us. My wife had the halibut dinner special and she loved it. I stuck to my usual ribeye that is always prepared perfectly. Also, the lobster macaroni and cheese was spectacular. Thank you McKendrick’s for making my wife’s Mother’s Day special.
