Food was good. Service was exceptional. It is a friendly Cheers sort of place where community is build, beer consumed and friends are made
Waitress was pleasant, enjoyed our burgers, best part it was half price burger Tuesday.
I usually love McGlynns and have for a long time however my recent visit left me a little disappointed. We were there on burger night, early about 5:30 and it wasn’t too crowded. The burger itself was very good but the plate they served or on was so small, an appetizer plate and the French fries were very dry and hard and the portion was not great. There was maybe 8 fries on the plate. Our server was very sweet, but kept forgetting things and was very slow to bring drinks and didn’t check on us very often. She forgot to put our appetizer in and brought it to us after we had eaten our dinner. The app we chose was a special, the blackened shrimp and crab nachos, and I would not recommend this or order again. There was little to no crab or shrimp and there was hardly any cheese. Just a pile of dry chips with a very large glob of guac. Like I said I love this place and will come back, my dinner there prior was excellent. Just very disappointed on this evening and will not do burger night there again.
Great food Attentive servers.
I had never visited McGlynns before and was very pleasantly surpised by it. The wings were awesome and all our kids loved the pub food choices. We had great service too! We will be back!
Came back to Delaware to visit with friends. Waitress was very good and friendly. Food was great had a good time
As always our Server Dylan was outstanding. He couldn't be more friendlier and ensures that everything meets our expectations!
Love McGlynn's Pike Creek, it's been my go to local favorite for over 15 years. Decent food, good service, and a fun pub atmosphere make this a comfy place.
An enjoyable meal. We were there during U. Delaware parent's weekend. The kitchen backed up quickly and despite a reservation we waited 45 minutes for our table. They need to manage on the high flow times a bit better in the kitchen. Our waitress was terrific as well as the bar service while we waited.
Friendly atmosphere to have a social gathering amongst old friends
Food was not hot but everything else was great. Service was terrific
Always enjoy All You Can Eat Shrimp nite but also stop in for half price appetizers and wing night. All staff is always courteous.
I'm sure you've heard this numerous times before, but our server Dylan was exceptional!
Not only was his service outstanding, he couldn't have been nicer or helpful...funny too!!
He made our dining experience one to remember.
Very good food
We all had one form or another of their half price burger. Everyone agreed that the food was prepared just as we asked. Had a great time! Even at full -price the meal is worth it.
Food and service were great.
Used app for reservation and was seated as soon as we arrived. Food and service were great.
The service was excellent. The food was very good. We will return.
Our server was one of the best we have ever had there. Wish I got his name. He was very attentive. Good job! Half price apps on Mondays is awesome!
Nosey on a Saturday night. Highly overpriced for the OK food.
Service excellent!! That is the only positive I can say about McGlynn's.
Very noisy 24/7 dance music. Folks can get a little rowdy. Waiter was awesome. Chicken wings arrived as ordered - very well done and super crispy. Chilli was a complete let down - less flavor than store bought. I might return if I happen to be in the area and not looking for a quiet dining experience.
Always impressed by your good natured and efficient servers!
Meet at both location's with a group of guy's the catch up with each other every month or so. Needed to have the speaker near us turned down so we could talk.
We live near this restaurant as does another couple who joined us but neither couple had been there in the last twenty years. We drove by and decided to go for dinner. Turned out to be all-you-can-eat shrimp($12.99) or prime rib ($17.99) night. Both specials were excellent. Looked like the bar was the big attraction but we sat in the next room and could enjoy a quieter atmosphere. We'll be back!
Really enjoyed the service and food was good. It is a true neighborhood type of restaurant and bar
When we feel like going out, getting good value, good service and tasty food, we hit McGlynns Pub on Polly Drummond Hill Road.
We came for a drink after sports on a Wednesday night, as they have $3.50 drink specials. We also shared a bowl of New England Clam Chowder, which was good. By the way, their nachos are $12.99 unless you come on an NFL game night, then they are $7, so we chose not to order that since it wasn't a game night, though their nachos are good, as I remember. The music is quite loud.
We were seated a good distance back from the front, so we hoped we wouldn't smell the cigarette smoke from the outside. Unfortunately, this was not at all the case. The cigarette smell was VERY strong the entire time we were there. Not being smokers, this bothers both of us a lot. This seems to be getting worse at this place, and we'll consider this in deciding whether or not to chose coming here in the future.
Had a great time. We were a group of twelve and the food was good.
We came for a drink and snack. So, we ordered the nachos. It was plenty for the 2 of us. They were pretty good. Drinks were very good.
I am very disspointed in this place. Love using the open table app while we are out of town. However the hostess didn't even know what the app was or how to check us in. She looked at us as if we had 3 heads. Needless to say we never even received our points for attentions the restaurant. Food wasn't very good, and our waiter was not very friendly. Extremely disappointed.
The food was good and came out quickly. Good selection of draft beer. The service was very good. Our server was readily available, attentive, and helpful. Our only complaint was the noise level. It was a Friday night, about 8pm and the bar area was very loud and the music was loud, which contributed to the loud talking. Since every table is in close proximity to the bar, the noise is unavoidable. Perhaps it would be better on a different night or not as late.
Considering that 25 wings anywhere else is well over $30, all you can eat wings for $12.99 a person is hard to pass up. Chipotle bbq and Asian sesame are my faves and our server was on top of replenishing the orders. Drink specials are cheap, but weak and choices are limited. Depending on the night there is an interesting crowd to watch on their "dance floor." We go often for wing night, but I must say, we typically end up people watching the odd combination. I guess the location + all you can eat wings + alcohol = family dinner night club old friend reunions
I requested a table where we would have some privacy & extra room for opening gifts because we were celebrating a birthday & they had this all lined up perfectly when we arrived. Our waiter was friendly & attentive......all in all a nice family evening with some casual food!
We love to stop in at this local pub for a quick dinner. It was half price burger night. My husband's Pub Burger and my Farmhouse burger did not disappoint!
We were a table of five for dinner on a busy Saturday night. The fried clam appetizer was over breaded and a small portion. The calamari was well cooked, but a very small portion. All the entries arrived cold to warm. They had been sitting somewhere. The two prime ribs were over cooked. The vegetable of the day was greasy, baked potato cold. The tuna was barely warm. The waitress was attentive and responsive, but the meal was a disappointment.
Tuesday is half-price burger night, so we took advantage of that tonight. I got the Stuffed Burger, while hubby got the Pub Burger. Both were made just as requested. The fries and cantaloupe slice are always good too.
This is our favorite grab-a-bite-to-eat spot! Good to excellent pub food, great selection of beer.
Went for all you can eat wing and they were great.
We had a gift card to go there from another of their restaurants where we had a terrible experience with both food and service, so we tried it Saturday night. From being seated incorrectly ( the hostess, when we checked in, assumed we were with a big party that had a reservation--why??, to the wrong order for my drink, to our food and appetizers coming out nearly together, to the place being absolutely filthy--we'd NEVER go back. When the banquet seating is pulled apart, and you can see what's down there--no way. UGH
Great neighborhood place. Wonderful food and fast and friendly service. We come often and never had a bad meal. Ask for a table away from the bar for a quieter table
