   What a hidden gem! The food was absolutely amazing and what a beautiful setting. We had the Bison Tenderloin and Gallatin Cowboy Ribeye. We also had the 320 Game and Mushrooms which we highly recommend. It was about a 15 minute drive but it was a beautiful ride. We saw lots of wildlife along the way. A must do if you are in Big Sky. One of the best restaurants we ate at all week.

   Great food at 40% less than similar restaurants in Big Sky. Rustic gourmet dishes are served in a no frills warm Montana rustic cabin. Definitely worth the drive. Service is very good without being pushy or trying to up-sale. We go back every year.

   Another year for Christmas Eve dinner and we are so thrilled to have been at McGill’s again!! Emma was the best server we have ever had and the manager made a mean mezcal cocktail (the grinch)! Thanks for all you do and can’t wait to sneak back when you have bone marrow for the app!

    Very nice restaurant to visit, even if you’re not lodging on site. Staff was very nice and friendly. Food was so delicious!! We ordered the salmon, bone-in ribeye and steak frites. Compliments to the chefs for the wonderful flavors in each meal.

    Been coming here for 20 years and it will likely be my last. Pricing themselves out of the market. Limited menu choice. Drank water and bill was $105. Sad day for me to leave 320 Ranch

    The food here is always great! I don’t know if this is new, but now you have to pay extra for sides which I don’t remember doing before. Without a side or an appetizer I think we would have left hungry. They had country music playing pretty loud which wasn’t so great for a nice relaxing dinner but the food and service made up for it! They didn’t acknowledge our anniversary which would have been nice since there’s a spot to indicate a special occasion when you make the reservation but not a big deal. Overall a lovely meal!

    My husband I are here on a whim on our first night in Big Sky. Both meals were outstanding. My husband ordered the New York strip and I ordered the pork chop. The wait staff was very friendly and was always busy. Our server was very pleasurable and always attentive.

    We went on a busy night and were surprised how attentive the staff was. The food was flavorful and promptly brought to our table. My chicken sandwich was superb, the mojito needed to be muddled to make it taste better and a tad of pepper on all the fries would make it over the top. My husband and son loved their meals and drinks too, hamburger and chicken sandwich. Beautiful surroundings after eating to explore.

    Pulling up (being honest) to the restaurant we were wondering if we’d scheduled the wrong place for my wife’s birthday. Was looking for something “Montana” but also quiet and eloquent, on the outside, looked like it did not fit the bill. How wrong we were. Everything was “right” about this place once we were on the inside. To start, was enough old Montana (dude ranch tack, oil paintings of ranch landscapes) mixed with new Montana (excellent bar/drink choices, modern serving ware) to create a very unique atmosphere. Next, the menu. Enough choice for every palette, and yet, also unique in deliberate mixing of flavors that created some amazing dishes. Carrots for an appetizer? Yes, and amazingly delicious. Salmon was perfect, elk medallions with huckleberries was a match made in (Montana) heaven. Cannot post with a shout-out to the staff. Our waitress (Emma) was from San Antonio and was a compliment to our entire evening. She was always prompt with whatever we needed or asked for, recommended drinks and dishes. Our evening would have not been the same without her. Final analysis. Drive the 15 miles from Big Sky and enjoy a great evening, in a great place, with amazing food.

    What we ordered was phenomenal. It’s a quaint restaurant but the staff is attentive and very helpful! We did more of a tapas experience and ordered appetizers and dessert. We had the lemon ricotta carrots, wild game with bone marrow spread, and trout cakes. Everything was cooked perfectly and the portion sizes were perfect for two people. Drinks were good, too. The French 75 is more champagne than anything, but the Fizz is really sweet and delish! The desserts were okay. The crème brûlée wasn’t cooked long enough on the sugar and didn’t have the crisp break and the huckleberry would have been better on top instead of in the crème. The shortcake was yummy but would be a lot better with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

    The beet & peach salad is unremarkable - there is no taste to that or the beet vinaigrette dressing. The strawberry/huckleberry shortcake was dry and sour. The best part of dinner was the server--all the servers are professional, friendly and provide great sservice. This restaurant is overpriced for the food.

    We love eating here when staying at the guest ranch each summer. The food and drinks are creative, elevated and delicious. Service is always friendly. The deck patio is dog-friendly and offers amazing views of the river and valley.

    We booked a family dinner at McGills because of the ambiance! The atmosphere is amazing! The entire family was so impressed with the food! It was just excellent! We felt there should have been at least 2 additional servers! Our poor waitress was overworked and looked exhausted. She was extremely efficient though and got every order right! The food delivery was quite delayed. Overall though, this is our favorite dining experience in Big Sky.

    Some dishes were to die for and a couple were okay. We didn't eat any of the straight meat dishes which is probably their forte here. The Bone Marrow and game meat appetizer and the pot pie with game meat entre were incredible. Don't miss them! The Tomato tartare app and the Wonton entree were okay. Impeccable service and everybody seemed to truly happy to have us. No small feat these days! We'd return just for the 2 fabulous dishes.
