The Wagyu strip steak was spectacular!! Beet salad was excellent! All the appetizers are a must have. The desserts are primo too! The service was good and the atmosphere is wonderful. Many locals hanging out, it’s a hunting and fishing lodge and ranch feel. Great spot, will surely be back!
The location is about 10 miles from Big Sky so it had a locals vibe along the Gallatin river. Absolutely beautiful outside and inside. Dinners had big helpings and were perfectly prepared. Wait staff were attentive and nice. A terrific night out.
Outstanding steaks! We were with our kids and they wanted dessert, not something we usually do on our own but so glad we did. Had the chocolate creme brûlée and it was amazing! The kids all said they wanted to go back and each have their own no sharing.😁
We had a very nice dining experience at McGills! Our waiter was friendly and efficient! Our food was beautifully presented and was really delicious! The room was big and spacious and contained very interesting artifacts! We will definitely return on a future trip!
Wow! Absolutely delicious! Had the pig wings, the mushrooms with elk and rabbit, and the meatloaf. This place is so good we had to come back!
Great little hideaway. Local gem. The steaks were a lot tougher than I imagined they would be but the place itself is fantastic. We enjoyed it there.
It was nice, however our waiter didn’t seem with it? Perhaps he couldn’t hear us or we him.? He was quiet. More explanation on food choices should have been given as our Monday dinner was down the road where we stayed. My duck gumbo dish was pretty spicy the words are technical and you’d have to google the ingredients. Rabbit and rice was good. But the duck I couldn’t chew! Hubby either. Very fatty. I had to spit them out and left the rest. Also don’t think sausage should’ve been in it. Seemed odd but that’s gumbo. But at least we had the bread! Husbands Wagu steak was ok. We’ve had that plenty up north and the place on Monday was tender as all heck. Made up for the not so tender one here. But we wanted to experience the top nearby lodges for dinner.
Delicious food and a warm welcome by friendly staff. Such a great place for a family dinner. The sharing bread so delicious.
Such a wonderful spot just outside of Bozeman. Our group had a great time doing the sleigh ride and then having dinner afterwards. The food was delicious and moderately priced.
We travel and eat out a lot. My son said it was the best traveling dining experience he ever had. It was a great meal and evening in a beautiful setting. Cindy was great.
Hi, Chris! We are extremely happy that we were able to offer you this great dining experience! Cindy is, indeed, one of the best! Looking forward to seeing you again soon!
The steak was to die for!! And the Reuben was absolutely delicious as well.
Hi Randy! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a 5 star rating - it's much appreciated! We work really hard to offer the best food, so we are very happy to see that reflected on your last visit! We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future!
Impeccable plates done very well. Great Montana atmosphere with friendly service. Unfortunately, long wait times for drinks and big lags between plates.
New Years eve
Awesome menu and food was top of the line. Service was very good as well
Valerie, thank you so much for sharing your experience here! We are delighted to read your feedback and to know that you enjoyed your dining experience! Your feedback is a great reward for the effort we put in. We are looking forward to seeing you again soon!
The menu was was too froofy for us. We were surprised by how few choices there were. We would have liked som more simple options.
One of the best restaurants we have eaten at!! Food was superb!! Cast iron bread was to die for!!
Hi, Linda! We are so grateful for your kind words. Thanks for sharing your review with us and the community. Looking forward to seeing you again soon and thanks again!
The food is not very good.
This cozy restaurant at the 320 Guest Ranch exceeded all of our expectations. From the servers to the incredible menu, you cannot go wrong with this incredible experience. The recommended wine was a fan favorite at our table and the trout entree will be everything you want and more. Do not sleep on this fantastic restaurant!
Trout with risotto was excellent, as was the service.
About 35 miles north of West Yellowstone, at the 320 Guest Ranch, and so worth the drive if you aren't already staying there! I hated sharing the game & mushrooms in a cream sauce we had as an appetizer - I wanted it all for me! Maybe over noodles...or rice. The blackened bison was AMAZING, on whole carrots and mashed potatoes. Foodie heaven!
This was the second time in a few months that we drove the extra miles for McGills and were disappointed. The first time we ate here, we waited for about 15-20 min for a wait staff to take our order. Seemed as though they weren’t sure who had our table. The second visit proved to start out well as our orders were taken very promptly (although pre dinner drinks took a very long time), but they were out of bread and out of one of the few entrees that two/five of our party wanted. It was only 7:45, so it wasn’t like we had 8:30 reservations......Also, the table beside us had two baskets of bread and we were told they were out bc they just let the “baker go on home.” My daughter and I both ordered an appetizer of roasted vegetables with added chicken and it was very disappointing. We will not be back.
The food was fine but not remarkable.
Thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Beautiful setting. It was very busy so we were glad we made reservations. Smoked trout crostini and French onion soup were delicious. The Duck Pot Pie and the flatbread were good as well.
Food was excellent, service was quite lacking. Servers were quite inexperienced and inattentive. The atmosphere needs updating if they want to attract the clientele that they are aiming for.
food was awesome. friendly staff. great atmosphere.
Great food and service! We enjoyed the evening immensely!
Great food and place...just didn’t have a very attentive waitress...she never offered to refill our water once and didn’t communicate their tardiness at all. She might have just been having a bad day. The food was incredible
Overall, the staff is friendly, but slow. It took about 90 minutes to get our food, as did the tables around us. The menu items were fairly high-priced for what we received. My steak was very over cooked. I could tell that the cook had cut open the steak to check the temperature, and still sent out a fully gray steak when I had ordered it medium. Do not bother ordering dessert, my $14 chocolate parfait looked and tasted like a Jello pudding cup had been scooped into a brandy glass with whip cream added on top.
Maybe check out the bar area next time. Over all ok.
Excellent flavoring and pairings of dishes. My wife had the bison and said it was the best meat she’s ever eaten. I had a NY Strip and found it to be excellent as well. Our appetizer of mushrooms cooked with a sampling of game and domestic animal bites was incredible. Wish I lived closer to visit the 320 Ranch and McGills more often. Our waitress, Constance, was very accommodating, informative, and simply a pleasant presence during our meal.
Waitress was pleasant, food was good, beautiful setting. Totally enjoyable.
Appear to be profoundly understaffed
Food and ambience is great. Service was a little off (wine not delivered but billed, wrong items to guests) on this visit, but previous visits have been great. Sad to see a relaxing of mask use by staff during our Covid crisis, but this seems to be occurring at most restaurants in area.
Extremely poor service, food was bland, steak over cooked, ribs undercooked. We were told our apps would be comped and we paid for them because they were not taken off of our bill. At that point we just wanted to leave.
I have been going to 320 Ranch for over 10 years. It was a family favorite and would go several times a month when it was open in summer and winter. Recently it changed its marketing name to McGilI's at 320 ranch. I was excited to go and see how the new management and new menu would be. The service was terrible. We ordered appetizers which were delivered with our salads. The appetizers were not warm and not very tasty. The salads were ordered with dressing on the side and they came with dressing on them. One our dining party ordered the hamburger and said how do you screw up a hamburger. The fries were cold and not tasty and the hamburger looked as if it was from a diner. The menu was not near as good as the old menu. The desert menu was not impressive anymore. That is something we would always look forward too. It was not just a miss where you would go back again to see if they would improve. We will not be going back. Really sad, as this place has many great family memories.
Risotto was excellent. Steak was great. Trout needed something. Cindy our server was great! Cocktails were great.
The food was outstanding!!!! Our Server was very nice and did a good job. The only thing we didn't get was one of the drinks that we ordered. Because there were only a couple weeks left in the season they had not ordered anymore once they ran out and it was still available on the menu. Overall we had a great experience and would highly recommend 320 Ranch Diner.
Normally dinner here is wonderful. Tonight the kitchen was just a bit off. One of our steaks came a bit overdone and the side of grains with the trout was just barely warm. The carrot cake was, as usual, spectacular and our server was great.
The 320 Guest Ranch steak house was very good! The service we good and the food was great. Highly recommend.
Our Sever was excellent, catered to our every need. It was quite due to the fact that it was late in season and a lot of people(tourist) were headed home. The food was great and we are going to go back every year for our anniversary and probably more!
