This is our second year of going for a Nanny-grandaughter-daughter-in-law high tea and it didn't fail to exceed our expectations. The team working there are kind, patient and funny. They all celebrate the high tea experience and make it extra special for all of us. My 11 year old daughter loves the special tea pot and luckily it was available which made her feel even more thrilled to go to the McFarland House. Our tea was a fabulous assortment of sandwiches, scones and desserts....love that it isn't the same menu as last year! We will definitely go back next year for another family celebration.

We were warmly greeted, A full of how to order our tea for the day and inform us of the menu options and the special of the day. Overall our experience was outstanding and we look forward to a return visit.

The historical significance of McFarlane House was interesting, but the facility was not open to the public without a fee. This was rather disappointing, considering that we paid over $60 for a few cookies and a quarter of a sandwich, with 3 cups of coffee and a lemonade (4 seniors in our party). With the price that we paid we should have been allowed to visit the rest of the building.

I enjoyed the Afternoon Tea for one; ample quantity and fresh selection of finger sandwiches & pastries. Pleasantly displayed. The tea press was different. It was my birthday and I asked for a table at the window if possible, and they complied! Very lovely experience.

I had booked this restaurant for high tea for my mother’s 75th birthday. We were seated at the worst table in the restaurant, even though I booked a month in advance and specified, it was a special occasion. There is no ambiance or charming decor to this place. It is OK for a very casual high tea as most people were in T-shirts jeans and running shoes. The service was absolutely terrible and we had to wait a long time. The food was just OK. I definitely would not go back here for high tea.
