   Always come here when down in Brittas bay. Usually very nice food and experience. But the most recent visit was a major let down. Table was so sticky my sleeves kept sticking to the table. Chicken wings had a pool of bbq sauce in the bowl. Parmesan chips had a sprinkle of barely noticeable cheese. Cosmopolitan tasted like just lemon juice. Such a shame to see as it was great when it reopened.

   I would highly recommend McDaniels restaurant, it was a lovely sunny day and we dined outside which was very pleasant. Inside has a lovely atmosphere and calming decor. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the food delicious!

   Catch of the day was delicious and beautifully presented. The extra chips we ordered were first class. Crisp and tasty in a light oil. Apple crumble was gorgeously.

   Was really looking forward to our evening at McDaniels but unfortunately it was just ok. There was plenty of staff but some in need of training. No one asked how we were getting on or if we needed anything. We spent a lot of time looking for someone to bring us salt or ketchup or drinks. Restaurant was only half full but service was slow. Food offering was grand.. nothing special I’m afraid. Had to ask the MD twice for the bill. It felt a bit like organised chaos. Disappointed.

   Great service, prompt & efficient. Delicious food, I had the chicken burger, ill be back for another soon! Family friendly, great pizzas too.

   Great staff, lovely focused range of wines ( I do lovely the tommasi winery products) pints where tasty , all they food was delicious and over all we enjoyed ourselves immensely. 5 adults and 2 children under 8.

   We had a delicious dinner - Monkfish and Prawn Yellow Thai curry. Very fresh and tasty. The special is always excellent but the fish and chips on the main menu is also great. Really enjoying the vibe in the bar and restaurant, staff are friendly and efficient. Loving the new McDaniels!
