Great service and great food!!
Great staff!!! They all worked together to get food out and help each other out. It was such a great experience.
We got there right when they opened so it was chaotic. Very good brunch and clean bathrooms. Just very noisy since everyone is so close.
The food was great and I enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant. The waitress gave us bad service. We spent a lot of time asking where she was so we could order, get the check, ask questions, etc. I would return for the food.
McCray's offers a nice weekend brunch, suitable for an occasion with friends or with a date.
This was our first time here and we absolutely loved it! There is a parking deck adjacent to the tavern and they validate. The noise was high but it was Saturday night that was to be expected. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. The only issue for both my husband and I was the server wouldn’t keep her distance. She talked very very close to us and we kept trying to scoot back but we were in a booth. We are still in a pandemic an people still have Covid. If you’re not going to wear a mask, please keep a small distance if possible.
The food was surprisingly good and so we’re the drinks. We don’t have one bad thing to say about the experience except the close server.
The food, drinks, server, and atmosphere was amazing
Great food before a football game! We had a variety at our table and everyone’s food was really good. Would definitely recommend!
The food was good and moderately priced-the Bloody Mary was everything I wanted-the Staff was friendly and accommodating.
The food and drinks were fantastic. We both had the eggs Benedict and it was heaven. My friend drank the bottomless mimosas while I had the Lemon Berry Beer. They were delicious too. I would highly recommend this place.
Birthday - they never acknowledged the birthday man.
Food was just ok. Waiter delivered drinks without straws. Food without utensils. And when asked for Heinz 57 he stated they didn’t have it. Upon entering the restaurant there stands a condiment rack. Guess who got the Heinz 57 herself? Me! Made a reservation for 2:45 the deck had no spaces available I’m guessing because there are only about 24 spaces that can be shared with the public. Anyways couldn’t find parking. Got into the restaurant at 2:55 to celebrate my sons 19th birthday over brunch as he preferred. We waited in front for 11 minutes until she finally appeared. She prepared the menus to walk out party to the table. When she seated us I asked for the brunch menu only to be told brunch was over. Ruined his birthday and our taste buds due to your parking and receptionist issues. Also the kitchen needs a grace period for menu switches.
Seated right away, server was very friendly, food came out quick, it was delicious
Great experience. I have been here for dinner and found the service lackluster. The brunch today was amazing! Will def be back.
Good, food, service and discounted parking next to tavern. Relaxed atmosphere.
Best server I ever had. Nachos where amazing. And my steak was perfectly cooked
McCrays should be removed from open table. We made a reservation the same day as our visit since open table had available reservations, and the hostess told us they do not honor same day reservations. We were told we had to wait till all other reservations were seated even though we had one. We were eventually seated at a very noisy table right next to the bar with bar folks on top of us and told since we did not have a reservation that’s all they would allow. Since they state they do not allow same day reservations even through open table, they should not be allowed to use open table.
Good place for a casual dinner! The food was good and our server was great! Will be back again.
The food was amazing and the bottomless mimosas
Lunch at McCray the other week for a friend's birthday (so mad we missed the bottom less mimosa for brunch by an hour lol). I enjoyed my time here, we were seated in the booth with a direct view of the flatscreen tv so I was able to catch the game while having lunch.
The drink was pretty good, well ok. I ordered a margarita that the waitress recommend (i forgot the name but it was pinl color) but I said ok because it was a little too sweet. I wanted my liquor than sweetness.
We ordered the buffalo chicken rolls which was ok as well..I think because it didn't come out as fresh as I would've wanted. And as far as entrees we order between the nachos (which was hugeee), chicken Caesar salad and salmon. All which was pretty good, didn't hear any negative feedbacks from anyone at the table.
There's parking at the deck next to the restaurant, the availability is pretty limited so when you arrive expect to wait a bit for a car to leave unless you just get lucky with an open spot. Parking was approx $6 for a 2 hours time. Overall decent recent, will need to come back to catch their brunch's bottom less mimosa next time.
Dined here on Sunday afternoon with my wife to enjoy a low fuss brunch. When we arrived we were greeted by a friendly bartender and the host came within 1 minute to check our resrvation and escort us to our table. After seeing our reserved table we opted to move to the bar area due to the closeness of each table. The bar had plenty of seating and TV’s. We started with a few promotional tequila/grapefruit cocktails offered to help support a local charity. The bottomless mimosas were a good value and the refills were often! The menu is typical bar food with several veggie and gluten free options. Unfortunately our chilaquiles was mostly tortilla. The chicken tenders and Turkey Club with breakfast potatoes were great! We’ll definitely be back.
There was a bug in my daughter's food, they took it off the bill but didn't apologize for it happening
There on Father's day, quite busy so service was expectedly somewhat hindered. Friendly staff, good food.
The food was great and our server was Wonderful! We will be back!
Our food was great and our server Briona was awesome! I look forward to dining here again in the future.
I would go back just for the bartender. I’m not sure what her name was but she was pouring with her elbow! Also the fried pickles, some of the best I’ve had since Front Page News.
Went for brunch on a Sunday morning. They seated quickly and the service was fantastic. He was very attentive. I had the chicken n waffles. The Mrs had shrimp and grits. It was all fantastic. The brunch cocktails were strong and well made. They had $20 bottomless mimosas, but we opted for a bloody marry and a daiquiri. Both were great. Capped off a good weekend in the city. Highly recommend for brunch. But make a reservation, they filled up quick.
It was my friend’s birthday and we were seated promptly. The server Jessica was kind. We were made aware of the shortage of staff and knew there would be a wait on our food. However, we waited almost hour and a half for our food. They didn’t bring the birthday girl’s food until two hours later. The servers apologized but offered no compensation of any kind.
Nice casual bar/eatery within walking distance to the Arts Center.
Visited this past Sunday and this was not a good experience this time. The food was not great, our server was unattentive and we had to repeatedly ask for things like straws, silverware, and condiments.
McCray's has a laid back atmosphere with lots of TV's and pretty good food. They actually have my favorite watermelon beer from 21st Amendment Brewery, so I was very happy! Overall, the service was swift and attentive. The chips and fried pickles were on point as appetizers. We'll be back!
The portions were generous but the flavor was phenomenal! There were 8 of us and EVERYTHING we ordered was so delicious. We had nachos, crab cakes, flat bread pizza, fish & chips, steak frits & Parmesan fries, southwest bowl & a salad with shrimp. We had a fabulous server who took exceptional care of us but was not smothering. I would highly recommend McCray’s!
First time at McCrays Midtown . They ran out of what I wanted to order so I ordered the Fish and Chips . They fish wasn’t seasoned . It was very noisy . The service was exceptional but I wouldn’t go back.
Nothing to complain about here. Good food, good service and clean surroundings. Would return for sure.
I liked the ambience, prices, & ability to get an Open table reservation. The food was decent. I had the chicken & waffle. The chicken was just seasoned with the breading so I will try something else next time. The waffle was good. JA had the nachos with pork, which was enough to feed several people, it was so big. JO liked his burger and fries. M ordered a large chicken tenders & fries, but only ate like half of the 5 tenders. K had 10 hot wings, which he said wasn't too hot and they were big wings and cooked well. He said he didn't need to order fries too, so I ate some and they were nice & crunchy but salty. The only thing I would do differently is park next to the restaurant bc we parked a block away & paid $12 for an hour.
Our server was very attentive especially for a busy Saturday brunch with bottomless mimosas. Food came out hot and delicious! Fun and upbeat atmosphere. Great experience overall!
Thanks for joining us for brunch at McCray's! We're so glad to hear everything was a hit and can't wait to have you back.
