McCray's Tavern - Midtown
Our food was great and our server Briona was awesome! I look forward to dining here again in the future.
I would go back just for the bartender. I’m not sure what her name was but she was pouring with her elbow! Also the fried pickles, some of the best I’ve had since Front Page News.
Went for brunch on a Sunday morning. They seated quickly and the service was fantastic. He was very attentive. I had the chicken n waffles. The Mrs had shrimp and grits. It was all fantastic. The brunch cocktails were strong and well made. They had $20 bottomless mimosas, but we opted for a bloody marry and a daiquiri. Both were great. Capped off a good weekend in the city. Highly recommend for brunch. But make a reservation, they filled up quick.
It was my friend’s birthday and we were seated promptly. The server Jessica was kind. We were made aware of the shortage of staff and knew there would be a wait on our food. However, we waited almost hour and a half for our food. They didn’t bring the birthday girl’s food until two hours later. The servers apologized but offered no compensation of any kind.
Nice casual bar/eatery within walking distance to the Arts Center.
Visited this past Sunday and this was not a good experience this time. The food was not great, our server was unattentive and we had to repeatedly ask for things like straws, silverware, and condiments.
McCray's has a laid back atmosphere with lots of TV's and pretty good food. They actually have my favorite watermelon beer from 21st Amendment Brewery, so I was very happy! Overall, the service was swift and attentive. The chips and fried pickles were on point as appetizers. We'll be back!
The portions were generous but the flavor was phenomenal! There were 8 of us and EVERYTHING we ordered was so delicious. We had nachos, crab cakes, flat bread pizza, fish & chips, steak frits & Parmesan fries, southwest bowl & a salad with shrimp. We had a fabulous server who took exceptional care of us but was not smothering. I would highly recommend McCray’s!
First time at McCrays Midtown . They ran out of what I wanted to order so I ordered the Fish and Chips . They fish wasn’t seasoned . It was very noisy . The service was exceptional but I wouldn’t go back.
Nothing to complain about here. Good food, good service and clean surroundings. Would return for sure.
I liked the ambience, prices, & ability to get an Open table reservation. The food was decent. I had the chicken & waffle. The chicken was just seasoned with the breading so I will try something else next time. The waffle was good. JA had the nachos with pork, which was enough to feed several people, it was so big. JO liked his burger and fries. M ordered a large chicken tenders & fries, but only ate like half of the 5 tenders. K had 10 hot wings, which he said wasn't too hot and they were big wings and cooked well. He said he didn't need to order fries too, so I ate some and they were nice & crunchy but salty. The only thing I would do differently is park next to the restaurant bc we parked a block away & paid $12 for an hour.
Our server was very attentive especially for a busy Saturday brunch with bottomless mimosas. Food came out hot and delicious! Fun and upbeat atmosphere. Great experience overall!
Thanks for joining us for brunch at McCray's! We're so glad to hear everything was a hit and can't wait to have you back.
There for Sunday brunch. Glad we had reservations due to the crowd. Seemed to be short staffed for the amount of people dining. That would explain the wait on food. Still worth the wait. Food was great with the bottomless mimosas. Our server was working hard tending bar as well as taking care the surrounding tables. Still gave everyone excellent service.
Great bar atmosphere with good food. We would go back again.
Great staff, very prompt with the mimosas and service
Location. Value. Service. all great!
Top Level 3 table with privacy and safety
Great food, great people, bottomless mimosas were truly bottomless. Our waitress, Jessica, was great! She made out me time even better and personable. We will be back for sure.
The food was great and our server did a great job even as he was covering many tables. My only complaint is that the tables were not socially distant. They could have taken a few tables out to keep everyone at a safe distance.
Great place ! Food is amazing , drinks are good and the ambience is diverse.
Very good spot for Sunday brunch! Food was great and the Bloody Mary was very good. I would go there again!
McCrays is always a good experience. The food is great and so is the service.
It was a great restaurant loved my server he was full of energy will go back again!!!
Just a girls day out with my mom, sister, nieces, and my aunt! Jessica our server was AMAZING! She treated us like family! Food was delicious! The only downfall was the air was blasting in the restaurant and it was 30 degrees outside and our validation tickets did not work which created a line to get out of the parking deck due to no ones tickets scanning. So trusted we just paid to get out.
McCray please check those parking validations, CAUSE THEY DON’T SCAN!

We had a great experience and good food. Our server was fantastic and we felt completely safe while dining. Great find in Midtown!
Had a great time and great service.
This was our first visit to McCrays Tavern. I chose it due to its close proximity to the Atlanta Botanical Garden and it takes reservations. Their drink / beer / wine selections are comprehensive, with many local breweries wares available. The food menu is varied and the entrees we selected were delicious. Our server was attentive even though they were busy. I would certainly return.
Poor server. Environment just average. Food expensive but mediocre.
Bottomless mimosas was def worth it. May be my new brunch spot.
We're happy to hear it! We look forward to having you back.
Incredible food. I will definitely be back again. Loved the whole visit!
Socially distant, very well-kept. Loved the food and the selection of drinks
No Covid protocols, terrible slow service, food was good.
I love coming here
Obviously we had a reservation through Opentable but we had to wait at least 30 minutes to get seated. Then we were given the worst possible seat for a party of 7 available in the building (which we refuse, we settled for the next to the worst) after having been told all other tables were reserved. It’s funny that the dining room remained largely empty the entire time we were at the restaurant which was 2 1/2 hrs minimum. Some of the staff seemed to have an attitude while others were nice. The food came to the table pretty quick and waitress was attentive from that point on. Will not go back to this location!
Great brunch with friendly staff at reasonable prices. Will be back next time I’m in ATL.
So glad to hear it! Thanks for showing your support!
Numerous TVs, great local beer selection, and amazing food. A must during football season!
Thanks so much for the support, Deborah! We're glad to hear it was a hit.
Great service, good food, limited parking
Good food. Terrible service.
My wife and I have eaten McCray's double Filets many times and they have ALWAYS been GREAT. However, this time; we each received one filet cooked a "perfect medium with the 2nd one cooked well done. We sent both of the second ones back and both of the replacement filets were "well done" again. We communicated our dissatisfaction to the manager who noted that on all four overdone steaks were caused by being left on the plate too long (which made little sense since we cut the replacement steaks immediately plus in ALL of our previous Filet meals both filets were still perfectly "medium" during our entire time of eating our meals). We later determined that Chef Miguel who usually cooks our filets perfectly was not cooking but supervising. Our server was not very attentive nor focused. Service was also never a previous issue. My wife and my conclusion is that this was our first dinner at McCray's on a Sunday (prior to a concert) and we normally dine at McCray's on Thursdays or Fridays...
It was amazing
