We arrived at 12pm on St Paddys Day. No one was in the diningroom. The waiter brought us Happy Hour menus with a good selection of Irish specials. The manager came over and rudely told us we could not order from the bar menu. I promptly got up and found us a nice table in the bar where we enjoyed the bar specials. The manager was adement that no bar food could be ordered in the diningroom. We could have taken his rudely presented decision if the place was crowded but no one was there. We felt he was trying to steer us towards the expensive menu. But it didn't work...
Much better food quality than McGraths, well worth the extra cost.
We arrived a little early but were seated immediately - that was great! Our server (Tessla) was busy with several other diners but I felt as if we were her only table. She was friendly, prompt, helpful, and very cheerful. She is my favorite server there so far and when we go back (which we will), I hope to get her again. The food was very good as always (trout, stuffed salmon, and dry-rubbed steak). Desserts (upside-down walnut apple pie and chocolate bag) were great. Beautiful presentation on the chocolate bag.
Great food for the price when you take advantage of 3 course special
Service was spotty, food was tasty
Excellent seafood and a warm atmosphere - It's perfect for a date night ! The quality of the seafood was fantastic, very fresh and well prepared. If you love oysters this is your place :)
WONDERFUL SERVICE AND FOOD PREPARATION. THANK YOU FOR THE WONDERFUL MEAL.
My wife and I decided to go on a date night and chose McCormick's as our destination. We made a reservation, but decided to sit in the bar and watch Gonzaga play basketball while we ate, which was nice to be able to do. We enjoyed the drinks from the bar, and we split an order of the Medallion Steak and Twin Lobster entre and a bowl of clam chowder. The steak was excellent, perfectly made to order. The lobster tails were OK, not not great. I felt it they were a bit overcooked, but I'm from New England, so I may be picky. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful with drink suggestions. A bit on the higher priced side, but I recommend for a night out with your special someone.
I got just what I wanted, good food and drink at a reasonable price with great service. I was a treat to have this great restaurant close to where I was doing business.
Ken is a wonderful server!!
Sesame Tuna was really bland, not much going on with it.
The potato’s that came with the Rockfish were too overwhelming for the fish, not a good pairing.
Chowder and Walnut salad, perfect!!
Desserts were tasty and delicious!
As usual, everything was great. However, I found the trout a little greasy.
Very busy night around Valentines Day, menu seemed shorter, but good fish dishes were on it. Service staff has short corkscrews, for most of you not an issue. I tend to take older Oregon Pinots with long corks, cork was broken off in half.
Disappointing. Plastic placemats on table with view of .... the kitchen. Entree over -cooked. (Salmon and shrimp) Had to ask for coleslaw, which waitress forgot.
Clam chowder was delicious.
The main course food is moderately over priced. They have great happy hour deals though. Noise picked up around 5. I like it better when the weather allows patio seating...
Took over an hour to get our food. It was cold by the time we finally got it. They knew their service was terrible because they kept apologizing to us. Funny thing is they even offered a discount or free dessert because the service was terrible but when it came time for us to pay the bill.... Surprise surprise... No discount or free dessert. Will never be back here that's for sure.
The restaurant was crowded due to it being Valentines Day. We were a little bit early checking in and was seated right on time. Very friendly and knowledgeable waitress . The food was excellent and prepared just right . The staff was attentive but not overbearing . My date and I both agreed that the experience was a 10
Long wait for food; it was barely warm when it did arrive. Needed more wait staff as was long wait for return to our table. Disappointing.
Went for Valentines Day. Food was delicious, manager was outstanding, service was great except for the water refills. After our first glass of water was empty, no one refilled them. Had a great table-overall great experience.
We went for Valentines Day, and of course like every other place in town they were quite busy. The food was okay - honestly nothing special - and I’d say our server was above average and slammed since all tables were occupied.
The food was decent, but idk if it was worth the price.
great service and outstanding food. Nice selection on the menu
I enjoyed the three-course option for dinner and really enjoyed the meal. My husband enjoyed the steelhead option with mushroom risotto. I loved his risotto! Our server took very good care of us. We like to go to McCormick's for special occasions.
We were in For a family dinner. The food was excellent and the service was great
Yes - three of us, old and long-time friends, are fans of McCormicks. The food is always good and the service professional. One of our three-some moved to northern washington several years ago and he loves McCormicks on his trips back.
The waiter was rushed which didn't make for a nice dining experience. Our dinner arrived before we were able to finish our appetizer. He brought the bill without bothering to ask us if we wanted desert. When I objected, he made the comment that management was trying to send him off for the evening and it wasn't even 8:30pm. My dinner (Blackened Rockfish) was bland. All-in-all, not what I would have expected from a McCormick & Schmicks establishment. Such a disappointment and now makes me wonder about the one in downtown Portland. I was anticipating much more.
We had some challenging dietary restrictions (gluten-free, dairy free), and the server was incredibly helpful making sure that these were addressed in a safe manner.
We sat in the bar for dinner. We were at the tail end of Happy Hour. There were a couple of loud tables. They left not too long after we arrived. The light above our table was burned out, so, it was dark. I had the Steelhead which was good. My wife had the tuna tartar appetizer...not good. Sister had clam chowder, no complaints. Server was fine.
Great service and food, however two of my crab legs were nearly empty. Disappointing as it was a $40 dinner. Still, it’s a great place for dinner and the food is always good. Exceptional wedge salads!
Ken was the perfect host/server. Very attentive and we really enjoyed the meal.
I have been coming to M&S for many, many years and remains good neighborhood spot to grab a quick bite, easy to get a reservation and the service always friendly with food that is fresh and tasty. For New Year's Eve 2018, while the service was as good as it always is, I found the food to be not as flavorful as it has been in the past, and the noise level was extremely HIGH (not energetic but quite noisy). Established in 1974, this popular restaurant remains one of our neighborhood favorites. Kudos to the staff running around behind the scenes clearing tables/dishes - they worked their tails off on a very busy night! :)
Very good drinks and atmosphere.
Our guests were impressed also.
The staff is always friendly. Food great. Location convenient.
We have eaten at this restaurant for 12 years and the food has always been excellent. This time, not so much. The calamari was greasy and sprinkled with cheese shreds. The steelhead was perfectly cooked, but the risotto was heavy with stringy cheese. If you really like cheese I suppose it might be ok.
Matt our server was great. Our food was delicious and came quickly. Definitely will be back soon..
Restaurant was PACKED for Christmas dinner, so service was understandably slow and noise level was pretty high. Food was excellent as always. Service very friendly. Booths a bit uncomfortable for sitting and lingering. Still, one of our favorite restaurants in Beaverton area.
We went on Christmas day for a dinner--hadn't made reservations but were still able to get in. The food was delicious and our server was very good. We had a nice time and really enjoyed our dinner. I had the lobster mashed potatoes along with my steak, and I'm really glad I did. They were worth it!
Lovely restaurant, good food, nice and quiet great service. I've been going to this restaurant since the early 80s. I do believe that it is not as special as it used to be. I miss the elegence that it once had. We went for Christmas dinner and couldn't believe how unremarkable the decorations were. When we arrived he staff seemed unable to find our reservation that we had made on line. Then we were seated in a booth that was so tight we barely fit and we are average sized people. We ordered the beef medillions which came with spinach and mushrooms. The beef was a little tough. Our bill was over $100 for two people which included one glass of wine and a cup of coffee, a bit expensive we thought for what we got. The service was good. We feel that McCormick's has lost some it's charm.
Other than the fireplace wasn't working, everything was good as usual.
Food is always good. Service very good. Prices too high for the environment. I always wonder why the meals are never a full meal, but require add-on items to fill the plate. Meat over cooked but yummy.
Server Olivia was very nice and engaging. Food was good.
