McCormick & Schmick's Town & Country Village Ratings and Reviews
Arrived to a warm welcome from the staff. Shown to a booth which was much quieter than the bar area. Service was excellent the server although new to the job did very well and engaged additional help only when it came to choosing and opening the wine, everyone has to start somewhere... Food was very good beautifully presented and delicious. Will certainly be returning as we very much enjoyed our evening.
The service was horrible the worst ever I've been to this location many times this time I took a new date and the service of our waiter I believe his name was Nick was the worst ever other than that the food was great the atmosphere was great the drinks for great no complaints but my date state it as she would never ever consider going to that restaurant again
My Wife and I are both Military Veterans and we greatly appreciate the Veteran's Meal. My Wife ordered the Parmesan Crusted Flounder. Her food was cold, the butter would not and did not melt when applied. She asked our server to replace her cold veggies with hot ones "please", in which she did. My Wife struggled through eating her Flounder in fear of sending it back and/or re-ordering.
We ordered a bottle of wine in which our server poured my wine into my water glass and not my wIne glass (which was right there). We both looked at her w/o saying anything and she poured the wine into the wine glass.
We have received much better service than this in the past, not sure what is really going on or what happened on this particular day.
We had a great experience overall! From food to waitstaff. We were seated in the back room, and that was fine because our toddler boys can get noisy and we had a view of the tv for the football game ! We can see that M&S values customer service and they have high expectations of their staff, which in turn makes it a great place to visit .
Went for the Veteran's Day Meal .... thank you for offering. However, I thought the meal of fish and chips for lunch was high; the waitress mentioned that we were given the dinner menu for lunch. Due to the high cost, it is not a restaurant I would go to on a regular basis - just for special occasions. Waitress was very attentive and pleasant.
The hostess was no where to be found. We waited over five minutes to be acknowledged by a waitress to sit us. That started off the night bad-
It only took ten minutes for someone to come to our table. I say this because I timed it. Our waiter was reminded several times to bring out the bread with the soup. He forgot. It took more than five minutes to get our drinks. He stated the bar was busy. We were sitting next to the bar and there was only three people sitting at the bar and maybe four people in the lounge room. There should be no excuse for his lack of memory. He served me tap water which I specifically asked for Pellegrino instead of tap water. After twenty minutes of sitting with tap water, I was finally served my Pellegrino water. I requested lemons with the Pellegrino water, this was not satisfied until the very end of our dinner:(
I had to wait for the Tabasco sauce for several minutes until a manager was asked to bring me the bottle. Only then after several long minutes of waiting, my waiter returned with the Tabasco. And still no bread. Lol We ordered dessert and literally only served us one spoon. Really. Am I supposed to feed my husband with the spoon and feed myself.
No one asked us if we were Landry Select club members. This was supposed to be asked in the beginning of our dinner. Really?
Then to make the night even more weird, he gave us our ticket and just waited right there for us to look at it only to state: “I need your credit card to pay this bill.”
My husband looked at him and said, “Can I look at my bill in private or are you just going to wait for me to finish reviewing it.”
The point I am trying to make is that you as a server are not supposed to stand in front of a customer while they are reviewing their tab. It’s very very rude.
Luckily I was in a mood of not disputing the horrible service, but next time I visit, if there is an incident like this I will definitely be reporting it out loud.
The host was completely rude, the restaurant was empty when we arrive and I had done a reservation for 8:30 pm. She had us wait 25 minutes to walk us to our table.
The server was the best however, she was quick and attentive answering all our questions. The food was also excellent definitely recommend the seafood!
This visit was very disappointing. I brought a friend for her birthday brunch. Waiter was not attentive. We waited long periods between being seated, then ordering, then receiving food. Then, once the bill was paid, we decided to order coffee and dessert. The wait station was just next to us. We flagged our waiter down and asked to see the dessert menu. He said "sure, I'll get you one." Ten minutes later - nothing.
I will say that the manager was wonderfully accommodating. I asked him for the dessert menu and got it in a reasonable period of time. He offered us the desserts and coffee gratis. I appreciated this, since overall, we sat and waited the majority of our time there. Our orders were simple - and the restaurant wasn't nearly full.
I'd also like to comment about valet. Having dined here before, I assumed there was valet. It was Sunday at 11:30. It was raining and I pulled up and waited. When no one came, I opened my umbrella and went in to ask if someone would be able to take care of my car. The answer was "no, we don't have valet until happy hour". Since I'm in the over 65 age group - and I'm sure there are many older folks who dine at this location after attending one of the many churches in this are, it certainly would be nice to have valet. Especially when it's raining.
Thanks for listening. I will probably not frequent this location. The one in Uptown Park, while really far from my home, seems to have it together.
I actually tipped the manager on my way out. I felt sorry for him. He had waited on us to make up for our inadequate service and I saw him cleaning tables and setting them up. I hope this location makes it.
Overall fine service and good food - above average actually - but two things could have been better: Out of a dozen oysters - mixed variety - especially one was clearly under sized and flawed / unappetizing. This was pointed out to our waiter, but he did nothing - neither replaced it or made up for this in another way. Secondly the coffee took forever to be served. Hence the three stars only.
Took my fiancé there for date night. She had never been there before and she absolutely loved it! The steak just melted in our mouths and the Chocolate Bag was just the right amount of sweet to end the night with! Our waitress Maria did an amazing job of taking care of us. My fiancé definitely wants to dine there again.
You know the quality of the food and service will always be great here. This was a business meal and the staff recognized that and allowed the time we wanted for business discussions throughout the evening. We had a trainee server and she was very well monitored and guided by other staff members.
The time between our server’s trips to our table was quite long. We had been seated for an hour and only served appetizers. At one point we had forgotten that we hadn’t ordered because we stopped looking/waiting for our server to return. Once we did receive our food, both my wife’s and my fish were over cooked to the point of being inedible. While the manager did give us a discount, we still payed too much for a meal we hardly touched.
