A great place for special occasions and date night. Not recommended for family outings
Rest food and atmosphere
Food was delicious but a bit too salty
Celebrated our daughters birthday with a large group of 10. We had made reservations online a couple of days prior. Food and service was really good. Their upside down candied walnut apple pie was to die for!!!
this is my go to lunch place, good selection, good service, quiet areas to discuss business
Great food and specialty drinks. The Staff is always pleasant and helpful.
Music was a little loud at first but they turned it down when we asked. Overall, great meal!
What a HORRIBLE experience. My parents came in from out of town, and it was my wife's birthday. We went for fish because t was Good Friday. Well, my father's entree just NEVER arrived. The broccoli sides I ordered for my kids also failed to arrive. When we eventually got fed up and asked for the check, that also never arrived. I was just about to leave without paying when finally the check arrived.
What a colossal failure. I'll never go back to M&S and have serious doubts about any Landry's restaurant. I was soooo embarrassed for my father who never got to eat.
Oh - by the way, I ordered the ahi tuna entree which it turns out is EXACTLY the same as the ahi tuna appetizer - except that it comes with rice.
I usually don't write reviews, but I am sooo enjoyed that my wife's birthday was ruined!
Food was very mediocre. Disappointed with our experience. Service seemed slow for a time that did not seem busy. Probably will not go back
The food was terrific. Happy hour created a bit of a drag on service but afterwards everything was great.
Great happy hour, fish and chips were tasty and so was the shrimp. The beer batter is hard to beat. The waiter was timely and knowledgeable, will return.
Had dinner for anniversary - good reception at door. Quiet table, but little light to read menu. Beef Carpaccio was very good, Lobster was great, Steak not quite as tender, but tasty. Very good wine selction at reasobale prices. Desert - chocolate silk pie was very rich and far too firm (not mousse at all). Overall good experience.
We had a marvelous early dinner, the waiter and staff were excellent. The food was delicious. I would highly recommend it.
Nice ambiance, great fresh food.
We are Landry's select customers and for the past 2 times we have dined at McCormick and Schmicks, we have had so-so service. Our wine was late to arrive at the table both times and the waitresses did not return to refill our glasses after the initial pour (we ordered a bottle)...we have yet to see why being a Landry's select member means anything.
We really like the food, but the service needs to be more professional. The hostess couldn't even find our reservation.....
My sister was visiting from out of town and I wanted to take her to a nice restaurant with good food and we did everything was great except service. In my previous visits to this beautiful restaurant the service is always been good this was just the one exception
The food was excellent, as always. Two people in our party were celebrating birthdays and we were disappointed that, even though the wait staff knew there were two birthdays, we were not offered a birthday dessert. We have received a birthday celebratory dessert in the past. Guess they don't do that anymore. We certainly paid enough to warrant a free birthday celebratory dessert.
The food is just average. Not bad at all, but nothing special.
The food was delicious, service was great! We were celebrating a birthday & every thing was perfect!
Very romantic evening.
The food was not impressive for brunch at all but the dinner menu is awesome
A beautiful evening in Houston so decided to enjoy the lovely patio area. Service was limited. No one bussed the tables as people left. 1 and occasionally a 2nd waiter to cover a large patio area. Not my best and typical impression of dining at McCormick and Schmick’s, a long time family favorite. Manager came by to check on our evening and we advised our concerns, particularly the dirty tables that were causing new customers to turn around and walk out. His response was to turn around and walk away without any concern to our observations. We hope this was a “one off"!
Great restaurant with good ambiance. Food portions are generous for such a high end place. Staff is friendly. They good care of us. Would definitely recommend
We had a wonderful time with our friends! The food and service were superb!
The happy hour had excellent choices for drink and food at a great price, and the steak and salmon we had was delicious.
We've now had a couple of not so good experiences at McCormick and Schmicks. My husband never received the fries ordered w dinner, even after asking for them when they didn't come with the meal. Then there was the drink that arrived after the check. The manager took that off the bill and was clear he was sorry and wanted us to return however after two not so good experiences, it may be a while.
Terrible service, dirty dishes, wrong items served to the table, long wait - is this place for real?
We had a dinner there in a Wednesday night to celebrate my son’s 28th birthday. Not sure what the problem was overall experience was horrible, the waiter took so long to bring the appetizer then I ended up having to go to the hostess to ask her to find him and send him over to take our orders. It was a party of 6 adults, 4 teenagers and his 2 kiddies, ages 3 and 5. The manager ended up compensating about 4 of the meals for the mix up in orders, the delays and because we were celebrating a birthday he gave us a dessert platter in addition to the cupcakes we brought in. I’m really surprised that things went the way they did that night as it wasn’t super busy or anything. Manager apologized and all, but the event didn’t go as I’d thought with it being in high class town and county’s location.
A very good treat place for a birthday celebration. Only downside was the noise level was a little much, hard to have a conversation. Otherwise, a well prepared meal, well served and the birthday cake was a lovely treat.
Great service, nice seating, food was great and Moscato excellent!!!
Everything was exceptional! The food, service, ambiance... 5 stars!
This was a disappointing choice for a birthday dinner. We ordered wine while we looked over the menu. The waitress brought empty wine glasses to the table. We sat there with no wine and no bread on the table for at least 15 minutes. Finally she brought our wine and still no bread. About 15 minutes later she puts our salad on the table and has to go back to get the bread. We asked for the bill for wine and walked across the street to Brio Tuscan Grille and enjoyed a wonderful dining experience.
Consistent, well-prepared meals, albeit lacking much imagination or presentation flair. The proteins are cooked as they should be, as are the veg. Cocktails well made, service attentive.
Nice patio for outdoor dining.
Excellent service, excellent food. It was also nice that the restaurant was quiet enough to carry on a conversation.
Another fabulous birthday dinner!!!
Food is mouth watering, service is great, very friendly staff.
The lobster bisque, crab cake, crab and shrimp stuffed salmon, ultimate mixed grill and steak with lobster tail were great. However, we just didn't like the seafood gumbo and the grilled chicken chopped salad was a bit too sour. The chocolate bag was very disappointing, the white chocolate mousse was like ugly frosting slapped inside and the chocolate bag itself was very thin. The one I had at downtown was far better, the mousse was super fluffy and it was poured in nicely. We had to wait a long time before we got a refill on our water and iced tea.
Used Valet parking to get started. Always great to not have to think about parking. Went to a table that was all set up with our reservation. Had some Oysters for appetizers. Oyster Rockefeller, were the best ever. Ahi Tuna standard. We shared a bottle of wine between three of us at the table, Enjoyed the Merlot from California. Blackstone was the brand I believe.
Dinner was great, In fact the only complaint we had was because of our age and feebleness. We could not read the menu. The lights were down, and the printing on the menu's were of a script that was difficult to read. Used our Cell phone Flashlights (embarrassing) to read the menu, and it was still difficult to read.
Was a great night our, with wine & Food.
The 10 Cobb salad was probably the best salad I've ever had. We had a seafood entree and steak entree and they were both prepared to perfection. Very nice atmosphere to boot.
Food was salty and over cooked. We will not be back to this location.
