Our reservation was for 745. We arrive no valet in sight. We walk up to the valet stand and drop off the key. We got inside at 740 and we’re told they’re behind we’re welcome to have a seat or come back and check if a table was available. We ask if it was ok to have a drink at bar while we waited and they could come get us when our table was ready, we were told no, we’d have to come and check in again. What? So no drinks while we waited.
We get seated, server promptly greets us gets our drink order, appetizers; we’re thinking yeah! Going to be a good time.
In the mean time a very large group is seated after us in the large room behind us. Dining out enough we know, crap hurry and decide on main course; beat the big group. We do rush and decide, “whew” sigh of relief. Nope after having our salads we waited over 20 minutes for our steaks and sides. I think at this point the server knew we weren’t having a great dining experience so she kept her interactions very brief and quick. Several times the managers walked around talking to tables; skipped our table completely.
Probably not going to return to this location. Was hoping for better service for a “slow” Saturday night; according to our server.
This was my first time coming to McCormick & Schmick’s. We were celebrating a birthday and the food, ambiance and service were amazing!!! Thank you for the amazing memories.
The food was great but the waiter was not real personable but adequate. Next time we will sit in the bar area because its so much nicer and livelier than the back dungeon room.
A first impression is a lasting impression. Made the reservation for my 49th birthday. We tried to enjoy ourselves however the server and the service was horrible. He did not offer us any special menu items drink specials etc....He was rude loud and obnoxious. Poor Poor service!!!!
Really relaxed lunch date with my husband. Great service from Colby. Food really good though mojito was more simple syrup than rum so unnecessarily sweet. All in all a good experience
The food and service were terrible! The only good thing was the salad. All the seafood was over cooked and very dry. I told the server that I did not enjoy my meal and share said sorry. Never saw or heard from a manager and was not offered anything else.
Our drinks arrived after the salads were delivered. Service was terrible, at best.
I will not be coming back!!!
Got tired of WFH and food delivery so decided to to and have some seafood and cocktail. Very good food at a fair price, and excellent service from our waitress. A most enjoyable night out in a while.
The restaurant was quiet, service great, and food good.
Food tasted great with very ample proportions. Service was outstanding. Parking was free with resturant validation if you parked in the garage, or they also provide valet service. We went on a Wednesday so not very crowded at all at 6:15 arrival and even when we finished, so very quiet for a nice special occasion dinner.
The food was EXCELLENT, but the service was mediocre.
Both the food and the service were spectacular. We came in for an advertised special meal combination they were offering and it was everything they promised and then some, not to mention a great value.
Mediocre in all ways
Food was bland, appetizers were not very flavorful, only good thing was the steak
The only thing that keeps me from giving all parts a rating of 5 is the service was rather slow at times. Maybe because a shortage of waiters.
Our service was wonderful. The Cobia was delicious. The rest of the food was not the quality I expected. We only ordered seafood. I have had steaks there before and they were wonderful. The seafood was just average. Crab cakes were mushy and not appealing at all.
Nice food, excellent service
Food and drinks were great! Appreciated the social distancing settings!
The service and food here is fantastic.
Really enjoyed our family meal here.
Valentine’s Day dinner
Enjoyed the food and wine. Didn’t like that the manager made me feel uncomfortable since we were there a couple of hours. Bill was over $500
Everything was most enjoyable. I rated only four stars for service not due to our servers effort rather we had indicated with our reservation we’d like to have Josh be our server. No advisory was given to us in advance that he did not start till after our reservation time which could’ve been changed had we been notified.
Food was awesome !
The warmed upside down walnut apple pie with cinnamon ice cream was absolutely delicious!
Anniversary. Had to wait for my steak to be cook came out over cooked . Came out to the table rare. Tables weren’t properly cleaned . Don’t think I’ll be back .
This was our first time out in 11 months and we were not sure what to expect regarding crowds, distancing, etc, especially considering this was Valentine weekend. We couldn't have been happier. We were in a small booth separated by partitions on both sides. The servers were all masked, and we were quite a distance from the other diners. Food was wonderful. Well done, M&S!!
Great atmosphere, great food and phenomenal service! Chrystal was exceptional with making our special time there memorable!
Our server RJ was very good. Just the right mix of attentive, but responsive. The food was also very good. We had the Fritto Misto to start. The vegetables were a very pleasant surprise. I had the Thursday NY Strip and lobster tail. The lobster tail was a nice treat and the steak was a good medium rare, juicy steak - all at a reasonable price. My wife had the loyalty member 3 course mixed grill which was also very good. The crab cake was served on tarter sauce which was frankly odd and, since my wife does not like tarter sauce, off putting. Otherwise, a very enjoyable meal.
The food was delicious. We split a steak and the waiter had them cook half medium and half medium-rare. Definitely coming back.
Sat at the table for 10 minutes after being seated by the hostess, only to never be greeted by a single staff member the entire time. All the servers just looked at the table and kept doing what they were doing. Not a single person came over to acknowledge the wait and offer any help. We left and proceeded to go to Eddie V’s were we received exceptional service. Very disappointed in the whole McCormick & Schmicks experience
Good, attentive service provided by personable waitress.
From the time we walked in .. it was disappointing. We had a reservation and were told table wouldn’t be ready for 30 min... however there were a ton of empty tables.. even with Covid spacing. Then we had a waitress that was non existent!! Took 30 minutes to get one glass of wine.. and the place was not crowded! The atmosphere has certainly declined... we didn’t expect to see people wearing sweat pants and house shoes!
The food was cold and the waitress could have cared less!! She couldn’t stand still when she talked to us and couldn’t quit playing with her nose! Which was extremely disturbing. We had just been at the Uptown Location several weeks ago and it was amazing! This location either needs a new management staff or closed! It was that bad... I warned the waitress of an allergy and then I still received the food anyway! We will not be back and we will let everyone know not to go here!!!!!!
Wonderful food and attentive service. Nice atmosphere.
Good food and good service. Plenty of social distance
I went to celebrate my birthday this year. The food was amazing and the service was top notch. The restaurant was sparse, but that’s normal due to Covid. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will return.
We will continue coming to the restaurant
Atmosphere was very nice, seating spaced well apart and was not crowded. Service was excellent and the food was over the top fabulous. The “Perfect Margarita “ truly is the best I’ve ever had anywhere; highly recommend it. Came for the open blue Cobia and wasn’t disappointed. Best fish of any I’ve ever had, fresh water and salt water combined.
Birthday celebration. But, would consider for every day dining, too. 3-course dinner was a GREAT value with excellent food!
Slow to get drinks and lots of time in between courses. 20 min for bread (it’s in the oven), 13 min for drinks, 20 min between soup and entree. Seems excessive. Food quality is very good. We come here often and service always lack timeliness. We always get the “bread is in the oven” as if it is part of the training for servers. We never complained but after this meal, it is time for the management to hear about lack of timeliness and delays and perhaps address it.
