Great time as always and great service! Always go here for special events and never had a bad time.
Pleasantly surprised! Delicious Easter brunch great quality and portions
Opens a little later than other restaurants in DC food and drink we’re good price was not.Unfortunately when you’re in the DC area with family you take what you can get
Ordered two filets medium rare and both came out medium well. Server or mangement didn’t even care. Definitely would not go back.
Great crab cakes !!
This was the best experience ever! They even added the extra touch of providing a special menu recognizing my fiance's birthday! It was a welcomed surprise that kept him smiling! Thank you guys for making his night extra special...beyond my expectations!
The food was good but the service was much too fast especially after I asked the waitress to slow down so we could enjoy the meal. Maybe others want to have a speed dinner but we didn't. The restaurant was not full so there was no reason for pushing the dinner so quickly
Food was ok at best. No refills for an Arnold Palmer when requested. Service was slow and not friendly. Will not go to the place again.
I had the Sea Bass small plate. The dish was very flavorful. The Sea Bass was paired with spinach, tomatoes, fingerling potatoes in a broth. The dish needed more spinach and potatoes and less broth. i would order it again. I also had a crab cake as an appetizer...yummy.
We tend to look for McCormick and Schmicks when we travel because we KNOW that the food and service will be exceptional. We were not disappointed!
Despite a reservation made to wait over 10 minutes whilst two other tables were seated before us despite no reservation and the same amount of people. ( Ethan’s they are xenophobic as we are British? Starters came separately so I had to eat before my husband. Service was slow, but when out waiter made an appearance he was attentive. Food was OK to good, crab was good seabass was over cooked and rubbery. Not in a rush to go back, but would if no alternative.
Service extremely slow despite very few patrons. Made us late for our show afterwards. Bill calculated incorrectly again delaying our departure.
The service and food were excellent!! Will definitely eat there again when visiting Washington DC.
Staff very attentive and efficient. Excellent experience
McCormick & Schick's always has the best food and service.....if you like seafood they are the best in the area.
Food and service was excellent as usual. I love dining here.
The overall experience from the moment we walked in to when we departed was outstanding. The meal was amazing and the service excellent.
Waitress was virtually nowhere to be found such that we had to go to the hostess desk to ask them to find her. The restaurant was not overly busy. We waited about 35 minutes to get our drinks we ordered. I asked for a vodka/soda water. She brought me a highball glass of ice cubes and about a half inch high of liquid. She took it back to the bar and after waiting another 15+ minutes for my drink, she brought a drink of flat soda water and virtually no vodka. My husband took the drink back to the bar and asked the bartender to remake the drink with vodka and bubbly soda water. The soda water was still flat. I gave up. It took about 45 minutes for our appetizers to show up. I ordered the beef medallions medium, expecting a pink inside. The beef was well done w/no pink at all. I couldn't eat it. The waitress could care less about serving our table, and didn't check on us during the course of the overly lengthy dinner.
The initial seating and subsequent service can only be described as below par and inattentive. The food was consistent with the quality of the chain: good and approaching superior. My observation is that marginally trained servers are given too many tables resulting in a regular need to ask after your order, correct results, make requests (like bread that you can see on other tables.. no one ever said a request was required and I’m still not clear if one was..). The restaurant looked great in its new/recent location however the service and support were not up to the image
Good food but service was a little slow.
Great service and food
First time visitor at this location. I went for a lunch with a colleague. Service was terribly slow, they kept bringing over other people’s food throughout and when they did bring me over my salad it had salmon not chicken on it. It was almost a 2 hour event, having had to wait 10 minutes to get served initially (first contact) and then 20 plus to get the check. They are better than this, hopefully it was just an off day.
Very disappointed. Service very slow; plates obviously sat under the heat lamps too long as scallops and salmon were both overcooked and sauce from scallops had baked onto the plate. On the seafood platter, the crab legs were still frozen when served. Waited more than 40 minutes between appetizers and entrees.
We had a 7:30 reservation. Bread was promised upon seating. Follow-up 3 times for bread and it arrived at 9pm with the appetizers. Our entrees came 10 min later. Dinner was ordered before 8pm and no food was delivered until 9 pm. Every drink order took 15 min. Waiter was mildly apologetic. Restaurant was not overly crowded. Food was good but poor service ruined our experience.
Good service but my tuna was over cooked
Thé quality of food and service was not what I’ve had at this restaurant in Chicago or Los Angeles.
Very strange waiter who did not get order right and seemed distracted. Very strange greeting when we arrived on time for our reservation. We had to wait while tables were free, and clearly there was some staff issues going on.
At end of meal food was thrown from bar area onto our table.
Needs better management.
Waiter was supremely helpful and professional. Food-awesome.
I highly recommend McCormicks! My friend and I are regulars - the food is delicious and waitstaff efficient and friendly. We love sitting in the booths - feels like I’m receiving a big hug. However, the experience is often outweighed by the fact that the booths are near the bar - we struggle to hear one another. I also recommend that McCormicks offer a choice of smaller desserts - they are delicious, but gigantic! Overall, it’s a great place to dine.
Still a very nice fish restaurant, but I haven't found anything to compare with the parmesan-crusted flounder and the shrimp caesar (baby shrimp) that they served for years -- but no longer. Happy that they now have appetizer options for people allergic to shellfish.
It was great? We were seated quickly. We have a server come quickly. The food was excellent. Everyone was so nice.
Food was not worth the price. King Crab legs overcooked and dry. Potatoes were tough. Shrimps looked like popcorn. I would not recommend the seafood.
I would recommend McCormick & Schmick's, but I would not recommend any steak. I was there on 3/16/2019 and ordered a 8oz surf and turf. I was looking forward to a quality meal from this company. The lobster tails were good, but the steak was waaay over cooked. I ordered medium rare and received it well done. Not sure how that mistake is made, but that is what I got. I was underwhelmed by the experience.
I had dinner here to celebrate my 40th birthday with 7 of my dear friends and it was amazing. The food was delicious. Our server was attentive. The manager came over to check on us and give me a birthday dessert. Did I mention how delicious the food was?
The best seafood I tried in DC these days! Excellent oyster and deserts.
Server was great w/lots of personality BUT unfortunately we were both disappointed w/our food. It came warm not hot, my salmon had absolutely no flavor, my husbands stuffed shrimp on his ultimate platter was dry. Dessert was the bread pudding, it made up for the food shortcomings, it was simply delicious. Right after we left, we both said, we wouldn't visit again. Our experience at another location in National Harbor was much better. Not worth the pricey price...sorry!
This is a K Street expense account restaurant with extremely overpriced less than average quality food. Companion and I both had fish entrees - the fish was accurately cooked to order, but sides were not hot or even warm. Fries were straight from a frozen bag. M&S may have provided a quality dining experience at some point in the past but the excellent and less pricey options in the neighborhood and area.now overshadow it completely. Drinks seem to be a big part of what is being sold. Desserts appear to be revived from frozen or packaged. Staff are friendly and competent but deserve to serve a better product for their talents. Again, for these prices, why not dine where you get value for the money spent? Sorry, cannot recommend at all.
I went for a late lunch to celebrate a colleagues birthday. It was very quiet at the 2 PM hour. The food and service was superb. I have to note that the bartender, Ida, did an excellent job handcrafting our cosmopolitan. I would return just for one of her drinks! Thanks Ida!
Our reservation was for 7:00pm. We had to ask for water. We had to ask for bread. We had to ask 3 times for straws. We finally had to ask for our entrees at 8:30! My filet when it arrived finally at around 8:45p was cold and dry to the point of making me cough when I tried to taste it. I was highly disappointed in the service and I will never return to this particular location.
The food was amazing and server very attentive. The manager on duty came over twice to check on us and made dessert recommendations. We would return without hesitation.
Great service and food. Recommend it for happy hour as well.
