We had a wonderful dinner at McCormick & Schmick's Seafood. All of the food was out of this world delicious. Special kudos to the chef for the Baked Scallop Gratin appetizer and the Chef's Specialty, Cioppino. Delicious, delicious, delicious! In addition, our waiter was friendly, but professional. Highly recommended.
For Thanksgiving this year we went here. This place is supposed to be top notch. My turkey dinner was meh, mashed potatoes were a bit bland, and I didn’t even get cranberry sauce. My wife ordered the ahí tuna with sticky rice, and the rice was not cooked properly, it was a bit hard! She only ate about a third of it. Thankfully we had both the raw and cooked oisters as appetizers and that saved the night.
We arrived for our 12pm reservation with only one table occupied. We were taken to sit in the bar on one of the high bar tables. We asked to be seated at a table. Since we had a reservation, not sure their reasoning in trying to put us in the bar. Our group all ordered the turkey meal. My husband loved his salad and the bisque was good. The turkey was moist and tender. Everything else was bland, needed more seasoning than salt & pepper.
The restaurant was lovely inside. We were sat at a very nice table near the front windows and the fireplace and I was very comfortable. Our drinks and our meals were delicious. The staff was very pleasant.
Great all around
Probably will look for other options in the future.
The food was good though felt too much oil & butter on the menu i ordered. Thanks for allowing me to provide feedback. -Eddie
This was the first Veterans’s day meal service where we had to pay half price (previous meals were complimentary) The half price menu was too limited and did not include enough non seafood meal choices. The waiter service was very limited and took too long to order . I understand that the pandemic may have something to do with the service and food portions. But I still appreciate this restaurant solute to Veterans always.
I was taken aback as a Veteran when we were charged for our meal. We were supposedly saluted and that salute (I thought) included a free meal. We three (my wife, friend and I) have a combined 55 years of military service. My wife served in the first Gulf War, my friend served in Turkey and I served in Somalia and the Iraq War.
We celebrated Veterans Day. It was nice and we will return.
Everything was perfecto! Will always go back to McCormick and Schmidt s
Very nice. The service was excellent. The food was superb. The location and ambience are top-notch.
El servicio es el peor que tenido
El mesero materialmente nos corrio llevando la cuenta sin ofrecer café o postre
Muy mal servicio
La comida deliciosa
Very friendly server. Food was excellent but the bar service was a little slow. Clam chowder was delicious but should have had oyster crackers instead of saltine crackers. Salmon was cooked perfectly and thoroughly enjoyable. Tuna was excellent but not a fan of the Oysters Rockefeller.
AJ was our waiter. He was wonderful! He was helpful and polite and gave us great service. The food was delicious. We enjoyed every bite.
Everything was ok, not superb as it was a year ago. The food was ok, not great; service was on point, not excellent or outstanding, the ambience was almost depressing.
The food wasn't bad -- but not as good as pre-Covid. The person seating us tried to seat us at a 4-top (high bar stools) in the bar for lunch. NOBODY was at the restaurant -- but we had to ask to be seated at a comfortable table. If we hadn't had a reservation and it was crowded, I would have understood. But this was crazy.
Salmon and cobra was very good
Your staff were very friendly and professional. I will return.
Teach your bartender to make proper old fashioned’s. It’s a classic. You can’t mess that up. Should be served with block ice, not crushed. Orange peel, not orange wedge.
Service was awful. We felt rushed. There was a large party in another area and I guess our server was waiting on them. It was my husband’s birthday. I had to ask another server for a dessert menu. Never came back to fill our water. I had to ask for that as well. Very disappointing. Never again
Overcooked steak. Water logged oysters. Understaffed
This restaurant has a large section closed but not enough staff for what is open. Service was inattentive and we had to flag down our server anytime we wanted something. We ordered an appetizer to start and an appetizer for the main course. It all came at the same time. A disappointing experience.
made a reservation available online and when i arrived the restaurant was closed but people were still inside dining and no one answered the multiple phone call attempts
McCormick & Schmick's is absolutely WONDERFUL!! The service and the food were great and I'll definitely be returning!
Service was good, the food was good and prompt
Thank you for providing us a nice dinner. Seasonal menu was nice.
Service was terrible
The food was good but expected more for the price. The waiter was excellent and the atmosphere was wonderful. It was my husbands birthday and I had asked that happy birthday be sung but that request was not honored. According to your website if you ask if there are special requests for the money I should have been honored that request. Other than that it was a nice experience. One other thing I noticed upon walking in and leaving…Caucasians were sitting on one side and African-Americans were seated on the other side. Was this intentional?
Inquiring minds would like to know…
Great food and service
It was my wife’s birthday. I had the Bourbon glazed salmon, and it was perfect with very little wait. We could not have asked for anything more.
No complaints, beautiful interior. Very few customers for a Saturday night. There were maybe 10 other guests which doesn’t bode well for a restaurant to survive with so few diners on a Saturday.
The waiter was terrible I celebrated a birthday well not really because no Birthday was ever acknowledged. I had to ask for bread the waiter asked me to move my own small dishes out the so he could place the Main entrees down it was awful . A friend ordered a well done steak & it came out medium still seeing pink I know that waiter told the kitchen to make the steak that way because he question my friend about getting a well done steak he was awful if If I ever thought to go back I would not want him at all. It messed up the whole experience. This was at the Washington D.C BTW
I waited 55 minutes to get my food I had to ask for bread because they were taking a long time with my food .. I hope I never have to go there horrible service !
Definitely better places to eat. Not what it once was.
Our experience was horrible all because of the service. Our waiter Dwayne was the worse! He dropped food and dishes on my friend, he told me that I need to order a different meal when I asked to modify my meal (change a side and dressing) he also tried to sell us some type of membership while we were trying to enjoy our meal and celebration. He also tried to educate us his people he called us (black people) on why we need to stop ordering meat well done. It’s was a problem for him to order what I wanted paying my on money. He also kept forgetting to bring things we’d ask for. I can’t believe such service from a “fine dining” restaurant. I’ve never been treated like this in in any type of restaurant. We are vacationing in Washington DC for our anniversary and friend’s birthday. We should have asked for a manager or simply walked out but we didn’t want to ruin the occasion. We we’ll never eat here again nor recommend.
Nice experience celebrating my daughter's birthday!
Excellent food and service. The BLTA was amazing
The food was quite tasty. My rockfish was perfectly cooked. Our server was very attentive and accommodating.
