Good food great experience!
Great food, comfortable setting as we’ve come to expect from McCormick and Schmick’s.
Best Happy Hour around.
Filet mignon was cooked perfectly and sides were also really good
The crab cakes were exceptional as always
My Food was not GREAT at all - went to this location on a Sunday late lunch time of day...My Seafood Grill Platter with the Shrimp, Salmon and Crab stuffed Shrimp was not very tasty. I was using my birhtday reward through the Laundry Club and it was sad - at least I did not have to pay for my meal.... Salmon DRY and hard - the portion was the lenth of my index finger (3 and a half inches long) and as thin as my indiex finger which I have slim fingers and it was hard. My grilled shrim were tough and they were not tiny shrimp - decent medium size. The cheese MASH potatoes that they are famous for was like puree food. So I did not make a fuss and I have a rule about sending food back to the kitchen . So I guess I will make a decision if I will chose to dine here in the future.
Food and ambience were great as always. Wide range of seafood options at a variety of price points. Nice presentation and private booths available.
The waitress wasn't there as often as needed. Her boss or someone she was talking to about another party was not a scene that needed to be advertised to other customers. The food was way over priced, especially for 1 crab cake, that was very sticky from the corn sauce and was $15 for one and it was small. The bread tasted like play doh
Nice enjoyable evening - especially because it was quiet and we could talk and hear each other!!
Great end to a long week with delicious food and an awesome atmosphere.
50th Birthday Dinner
We came on Thursday late afternoon; 5:30. It wasn't busy in the dinning area. The general bar are was busy with after work crowd. It wasn't loud.
Service excellent. Food top notch. Price was as expected. Will return with friends.
We had an excellent meal
at a private window side table. Great food and their lunch menu is a superior value.
We love this restaurant!! Celebrating my husbands 30th birthday with a delicious dinner was the cherry on top of our fantastic day. When I made my reservation, I did include we’d be celebrating my husbands birthday. There was extra special attention paid to that information, as our hostess sat us and wished my husband happy birthday! Our menus also had been customized with “happy 30th birthday” at the top! We had a good waitress, the food was delicious, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing. If we come to Troy again, this is where we’ll be dining!
Easter morning brunch for $30 is where I’m having a hard time finding the value on food alone. The food was delicious but not something I see myself spending that much $ on. The occasion and ambiance (impressed with 1st time here) was what made it worth it. I had Brandon as a server who was incredibly friendly and we spoke about NY/east coast as he and I are both from there.
Would certainly go back for dinner another time.
Excellent food and service.
Service was great. Our waitress gave us plenty of time to visit with family. We have not been here for almost 15 years, and by the quality of the meal it will be another 15
My husbands clam chowder was cold (how is that possible on a Friday during lent???)
2 people had the crab stuffed shrimp, 2 had the fried shrimp, 1 had the lobster tails (hat looked a little grey) and 1 had the pretzel whitefish
The fried shrimp and whitefish were enjoyed, the other meals were not
Great choices for happy hour. Dinner menu has a very good variety.
Stuffed salmon was good after we picked all the nasty red pepper out of it - I don’t recall red pepper being mentioned. Also, ease up on the seasoning of the goat cheese small batch mash - so much rosemary, thyme, savory or something. In fact, if it was rosemary, just take rosemary out the kitchen altogether. Very nice dining room setting, but the 90s alternative grunge nation station, like the rosemary, has to go!
The food was very good and the service was excellent
It was our first time. We were seated immediately into a private booth. The food was delicious. We will definitely come again.
We enjoyed a great St. Patrick’s Day dinner and green beer! Fantastic food and spectacular service!
Great food, nice atmosphere, exceeded my expectations
Service was great but food was way below average. I got the stuffed salmon which had zero stuffing in it. We ordered the tuna tartar and it was completely tasteless. Probably won't ever go back!!!
Nice, but quiet. Like really quiet.
The food quality isn't great. The lobster tails were extremely small and flavorless. The ambiance is nice.
Poor and slower than usual service, high priced, small portion. Management was quite responsive.
Service was extremely slow, food was mediocre, and was overpriced.
John, our server, was fantastic. The meal was excellent. Great evening!
I tried giving one of my past favorite restaurants another chance but they majorly failed. No such thing as Lobster Mashed Potatoes on menu as Twin Lobster Tails were suppose to come with had absolutely no Lobster was in it.
Waited for my Champagne Cocktail to actually be a real one and not a glass of cheap Prosecco. They bartender had no clue as to add the mint sprig with the ‘Mule’ drinks ordered. I’m done and I am a member here.
Happy hour everyday at bar is very good food was very tasty and filling
After reviewing photos on open table and reading reviews we decided to dine, Saturday night, 8:15 reservation. Once seated, we waited for 15 minutes to get water or see any kind of server. It was the manager that finally came. Then waited another 10 minutes for a glass of wine. They tried to compensate with a free appetizer, which was horrible, and nothing like the photos online. We almost got up and left, hindsight, we should have. Our meals were mediocre at best, the seabass was presented beautifully (like the photo online) but had little flavor, very disappointing. The 'special' salmon was awful, and dry....nothing special about it and a weird beet, cippolini medley that accompanied it. Who does that? beets with salmon, it was supposed to be cippolini onions and roasted potatoes in a brown butter sauce...hmmm that would have been so much better. By the way, they didn't ask how the salmon should be cooked. The third meal was medallions of beef. That was prepared nicely but with a heavy bordelaise sauce, over sweet and way too heavy and thick. Long story, short, I would never go back there, even if the dinner was free. Same thing with my two adult children that accompanied me. I hope they work out their issues at this restaurant or it won't be around much longer.
We waited for almost 15 minutes and no one even came to the table to greet us.
Loved it and would go back again
We had not dined at this restaurant in quite some time. While the food was very good, the kitchen was very slow. It appears there was not enough staff. Our wait person did the best he could under the circumstances. With many options to choose in this area, this restaurant will have to reassess its mission and end goals for customers.
Really should not ask me this time. First two visits were awesome. Third time might make me think again on my next outing. First scallops came to the table over cooked almost black. Can not believe anyone would let them out of the kitchen like this. Then 2 minutes later new ones arrived. Hardly cooked and ice cold in the middle. We left without eating. Might not be back again.
Was a bit disappointing. Hadn’t been there in a few years and met up with a friend for an early dinner. We had the same entree and the portions were noticeably different. Quality was just average. For the prices charged I expected more. Doubtful I will go back .
Salad came out wrong twice. Canceled it. Mashed potatoes were “blah”. NY strip was cooked perfectly and juicy. Two glasses of wine were served more than warm. I think either the glasses or the small carafes had just come out of the hot dishwasher.
I eat here several times a year. This meal/service was very unusual. Normally everything is very good.
A very average meal. We only stopped because we had a gift card, we were not impressed.
The happy hour was amazing. The service was stellar.
