Always meet a friend here every year for our birthdays and it is consistently very good! We like the quiet atmosphere which really give us a good chance to talk and catch up. Seafood is always delicious!!
I had a horrible experience on 11/30/2018. While our waiter was awesome the quality of the food from the kitchen was terrible. My husband and I sent our food back to the kitchen 3 times because the food kept coming to our table cold. The Manager on Duty tried to rectify the situation but despite his best effort the kitchen just could not get things right. We did however get a large portion of our bill waived but the date night with my husband was ruined.
A beautiful restaurant with fantastic booths allowing groups to carry on conversations independent of others. However, the booth was dark and made it impossible to view the menu as one is accustomed to doing. Once you place your order everything is fine. The server, Michael, should be commended for a superb service and showing sincere concern for guests. More servers should model him. The food was enjoyable and portions were correct.
Great place for small groups and holiday parties
Have been to this and other McCormick and Schmick's several times and find them to be very consistent. The fresh fish we had was excellent, and others in our party enjoyed their steaks.
Excellent service, great food and ambiance. Highly recommended for casual and special occasion dining.
Seated 30 minutes after our reservation and the tuna was horrible
Didn’t like the overbooking that occurred that night. Had a reservation for 6pm, got there right at 6pm. Waited an hour and 5 minutes to get seated in a drafty entranceway where we froze every time the door opened. Not acceptable, if they told me when I made the reservation there was going to be a 65 minutes wait I would have gone elsewhere.
5:30 reservations turned in 6:05 reservations. No place to wait for a table, about 6 other parties waiting with reservations.Food was good but for $29.00pp and The wait Plus Thanksgiving, u would think the slice of pumpkin pie would be included.
Thanksgiving Dinner, soup and salad came without bread, and the lump crab meat appetizer was no why in site. Asked for manager and we saw her. After that barely saw the server again! Very bad experience and probably won’t be returning
We went there for Thanksgiving dinner. The food was delicious. Our server was not particularly great though. My sister had ordered coffee during dinner and when it came time for dessert the server did not offer my sister a refill on her coffee. She also took an extremely lengthy amount of time bringing the change for the bill back to us.
Dined there on Thanksgiving at 5pm. A few things of note:
Blond, middle aged female receptionist never greeted us as we checked in. While we had a 5oclock reservation, we decided to sit at a booth in the bar area since there were many people waiting in the reception area with agitated looks.
Another thing of note was the bartender had an irritated look on his face every time i looked over.
The food was overall pretty good. The calamari is very generic. Crab cakes were good and sea scallops were very good. My wife said here Ahi tuna was good.
For really good food and experience though, Ocean Prime is a much better restaurant.
Went there to celebrate my birthday. The place was basically empty for a Saturday night. The service was slow. My wife’s cocktail tasted like cough medicine. Oh, and I was up all night getting sick from the undercooked seafood that I was served.
The food was good. The service was exceptional and I will return again. This restaurant would be nice for special occasions.
The restaurant was overwhelmed with the Veteran's Day celebration. Too many guests, too few and/or undertrained people at front desk. Definitely did not take people in order of either their reservation or check in. And tables sat empty for quite a long time.
Also due to the oversized crowd, the wait staff and kitchen were overwhelmed, which let to overcooked food. Nothing quite as bad as dried out fish. Either cooking too long or sitting under the heat lamps for longer than the fish could stand.
Thanks for the complimentary dinner, but you can do better and have done better on days when the staff knew what to do, even though you were packed with diners.
Very generous for Veterans Day on Sunday !! Complimentary dinner for veterans
My husband and I an amazing experience. The food and service was alsome. Fresh ingredients and seafood, I ordered shrimp scampi with linguine noodles. He ordered buttermilk battered shrimp. Clean fun atmosphere great ambience. We will return.
Food was excellent ..... Special cocktails were so/so, looked like the bartender was reading the directions, drinks did not look like the picture, the waitress even mentioned that as she was serving them ..... Ordered Markers Mark 46 on the rocks and I'm sure that I did not receive what I ordered .... Because of the food and ambience I will return
Wonderful dinner! We have been here several times, and have not been disappointed. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and professional.
The service was great, the food was excellent and the atmosphere very nice. I highly recommend the restaurant to anyone.
Great food and very friendly servers. Upbeat atmosphere. Beautiful wood paneled walls ad ceiling treatments. Great for either a formal or casual occasion.
Staff was fast and smiling
Management was going tabke to table to make sure everyone was happy
It was an enjoyable luncheon.
Superb. All the fish was cooked perfectly, and exactly how we wanted it.
I love M&S. It has a special place in my heart bc I grew up in the Pacific NW - home of Jakes and M&S. We go to M & S often. This was the worst experience we’ve had there. It was freezing in the restaurant. The waitress was totally disconnected. We had to ask for her twice. She came by and said what do you want for your birthday dessert? And didn’t ask the rest of us if we wanted dessert. We had to go find her to order dessert. We had to ask for her several times. I’m bummed bc I live this restaurant. I always tip at least 20%. Not tonight. Remind your wait staff - you are not entitled.
For once I have found a restaurant where you can actually have a conversation without yelling across the table.
We had a great time and the food was excellent. I will definitely be back in the near future.
The setting was very pleasant. And the service the food was delicious. Very nice ambiance
Seafood trio was wonderful on Friday and leftovers Saturday just as delicious!!
Our menu selections were good. The flavors were great. About 1/2 of the items on the plate were either over or under cooked. We were celebrating our anniversary and did not have time to send them back to the kitchen to see if they would correct the issue.
Our waitress didn't seem to be as knowledgeable about the menu as I would have expected.
For a $100 meal I expected a little bit better.
Loved my meal! I tried the Cobia - a new featured fish recommended by the waitress. I had it prepared blackened served with roasted corn and a black bean puree. It sounded so-so on paper, but was fantastic on the tongue. My favorite seating is in a booth which gives privacy plus cuts the noise level down. Although the restaurant is pretty quiet anyway, but it just makes it cozier to be in a booth. And our waitress was a gem! Very sweet and attentive without over doing it. Great experience. This just reinforced my reason for coming here for birthdays and anniversaries. It's a great place for great fish and enjoying a conversation with a loved one without having to shout!
Great service and delicious meal! Would definitely go again!
Service and atmosphere were fine. the food was expensive yet average quality. We won’t spend the mo way to go back.
A very pleasant evening out. Atmosphere, service and good food.
Sweetest Day night out. Sesame Ahi Tuna with Wasabi Mashed excellent! Significant other had Filet which was done as ordered but not flavorful. Sadly our service was not good at all. Manager did more for us than our waitress. Asked for a coke and it took 10 minutes. Rarely saw our waitress. That put a damper on our experience.
I like the dining areas, will request a booth next time for a little more intimate experience
One fine restaurant. Waitress was super nice. The food was excellent. We had the trout and the king crab legs.
Restaurant was empty but it still took 2 /2 hours for lunch. Slow horrible waiter. Took 2 of 6 drink orders and left. We had to call back to get the other 4. Never did receive butter that we asked for. Never did get waiters name. Shrimp was undercooked. Rare tuna was poor quality etc. etc.
I had sea bass that 3was delicious, food was hot, and had a lovely presentation.
Also, the highlight was our waiter Michael. He was so pleasant and accommodating, I would request him
