McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Roseville - The Fountains Ratings and Reviews
Was disappointed in fact that it was our 25th wedding anverisary and personalization was off. Last anverisary we spent here the table was decorated and there was a scroll that congratulations on our special day. That was what brought us back. This one was our silver anverisary. Didn’t expect anything free, just some personalization. And yes it was noted in the reservation.
A good restaurant that was having a bad night. Temperature so cold we all left our coats on. Service slow and inattentive, even though restaurant was 1/2 empty. Food was served with the fish proper temperature, but the veggies ice cold. Wait staff replaced them, but well after we had all eaten our meals.
Restaurant was very clean, staff was very friendly and helpful, service was very good and noise level was at a minimum so you could actually enjoy a quiet conversation and your meal. Food was pretty good only issue I had was half of my beef medallions were still raw and one of my two twin lobster tails was not the lobster tail it was the lobster mash. Not sure how my food order got messed up but outside of those two things everything else was great.
We continue to enjoy our dinning at the Roseville spot. The is always very good and the service is very good and friendly.
Even thought I know how they price their wines, in the end the wines prices are much to high. With lower prices they could sell more bottles of wine and make the same profit with a balance of value and quantity. Think about it.
Our server, Charlie, was outstanding and very supportive to our needs. Bar and dinner items were all outstanding, with only one minor complaint that the swordfish was slightly overcooked. Mako shark, tuna, salmon, and scallops were all fabulous! The "shrimp kisses" appetizer was totally worth it. Salads were split for each couple and added a great compliment to the dinner. Wine pairings were on point and cocktails at the bar were a great start to the evening.
Totally worth the reservation. Pretty quiet dining room at 6pm on a Saturday night but was packed by 7pm!
While not the best seafood meal you can get for you dollar. Not a disappointment. Constant in both food and service, nothing will stand out for either. Had the ahi tuna appetizer and small in portion and lacking enough of the delicious sauce underneath. Entree of lobster and steak and Cesar salad with shrimp both a little over cooked but attention to detail is what this place lacks. Overall not a bad meal but not one worth a 5 star review.
We normally enjoy this restaurant, but it was a big mistake for Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey was dry, gravy was sparse (none of potatoes or stuffing), vegetables were almost nonexistent (three green beans, I kid you not). We weren't seating until 1/2 hour past reservation time, and waited an unreasonable length of time for our entrees. No dessert included, and nothing except pumpkin pie or something chocolate available. At least the squash soup and sourdough bread were good! Very disappointing for a place we normally consider completely reliable.
Reservation was for 5pm. Had placed reservations over a month in advance. Was seated around 5:30. No water on table for at least 15 min. after being seated. Ordered a glass of milk with my meal, which never came, but was on my bill. The turkey tasted like it was previously frozen and reheated. Didn't care for the bisque soup or stuffing either. Terrible way to spend a Thanksgiving!!
My family Thanksgiving dinner changed from a crowd this year to just 4 of us. We opted to eat here. We had reservations for 4 pm. We weren't seated until 4:45pm. Our server didn't bring bread or water until we asked. We ordered an appetizer (4 shrimp) which arrived, but no plates. I finally grabbed plates from another empty table. We ordered our meals, still no bread. Our soup and salads arrive, still no bread or drink orders taken. Finally, at 5:45 our meals were delivered, still no bread or drink orders. Our turkey meals were bland and tasteless. We were more than disappointed with the taste. When we were just finishing up, four slices of sourdough bread arrive at our table with a tiny cup of butter. The waiter asks if we want pumpkin pie for dessert for $4. (No other desserts or menu were offered). We ordered one slice to share, as two of us don't care for pumpkin pie. It arrived cold with no whip cream. (It felt like they had just run out to the local market for pies). The pie was horrid! It didn't even have any spice or flavor! We were never offered coffee or hot tea. This place has gone downhill since they opened. This was our last effort to give our business here. They need to work on customer service and hire a new chef!
All foods ordered were perfectly cooked, presented, and service was outstanding. Wide variety of choices left everyone at the table surprised, happy, and looking forward to returning soon.
All foods prepared exactly to requested specifications. A perfect ending to a wonderful day!!!!!!
The drinks were poor,$17.00 for a drink ,that I have had elsewhere for $6,that was great, Chicken that was ,tough, and cold.My soup that is my favorite was very poor that night $14.Lobster bisque . My wife had $40 fish it was great, its not unusual to spend $250 at the restaurant, but this night we could not get out fast enough.Bill $122.00 Randy 510-760-7388.
We were very unhappy with our dining experience we had a reservation for eight I don’t believe we were Seated until almost nine. we were led to believe that the meals were free as part of a veterans day celebration. We were not told that We would have to pay for one of the meals until after we were seated. The meal that was designated for the veterans appear to be less valuable and lacked the taste we expected and definitely was less tasty than the one meal we paid at full price. Last but surely not least the floor/carpet was filthy in that it was full of food we could hear it crunch as we walked to our table as well as leaving our table. I was hoping you all would ask our opinion as we were very disappointed with the service (particularly the wait time) the Veteran’s designated meal and the dirty floor. I will say that the shrimp crab stuffed salmon was very tasty.
Always good food, perfectly prepared. Sometimes I have to stop my husband from licking his plate! I had the salmon, it was delicious (would have liked a little more) & my husband had the beef medallions, which he thoroughly enjoyed. We want to return some afternoon & have drinks & the avocado lobster tower!
I very much appreciate the fact that M&S provided us Veterans with a free meal for Veterans Day, however, the menu stated that the Salmon I ordered came with a berry sauce and seasonable vegetables and I received neither. The fish was dry and the potatoes were over cooked and hard. I have been to this M&S many times as a paying customer and received a good meal for a fair price but this was not a good meal and I doubt that I would go back.
I had the blackened chicken fetticuie (sp?). The outer noodles were dry and hard like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for awhile. My wife had the trout. Said it was good but somewhat bland. I've eaten at M&S many times before and never had a bad meal. Don't know what was going on this last Sunday, November 5th?
We arrived a half hour early for our reservation and were still quickly accommodated. The service was great and the food superb. The table and setting were very nice and enjoyable. Really appreciated their recognition of Veterans by offering them a free meal! Last year we came for the first time to participate in the Veterans meal and then became a regular customer.
