The occasion was my friend’s birthday, and it was the first time she had been there. I brought her in a limo, because I wanted the whole experience to be first class! Mark, our server, was his usual, charming, informative self, and he helped make the day wonderful for her. I stepped out of the box and had the special Reuben sandwich, which was absolutely delicious! I especially enjoyed the wonderful potato soup that came with it. My friend had the mixed seafood platter and ate every morsel on her plate! She also loved the complementary birthday dessert.
Horrible service, food, and slow drink service. We will never be back and we even told our waitress how bad it was and we didnt even get an apology.
My wife and I went to celebrate our anniversary. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our waiter brought water and took our drink order very quickly. Our food arrived quickly. The wait staff was very good. All in all, it was a very good dinner. The reason for only four stars? The food....my wife had a filet mignon and lobster tail, and I had a ribeye. Both were good, but we have had better. For the price, it didn't knock our socks off. Next time we'll go somewhere else.
Waiter Matthew was nice, but talked our heads off. Food here is always good.
I had to return my fish dish(Sole)..... and the waiter was great.... the chef even came out to apologize.... others had complained.... you had changed vendors....
My gripe is, I offered to pay for my selection anyway, but never expected that the waiter would allow me to..... I WAS Billed!!!! for crap! We have eaten several times at the restaurant and all was good....
Food was very well prearrd. Server Natalie was always on the spot & attentive.
This was my first visit. I was very pleased with the menu options though disappointed that one item was not available (ahi) and several items could not be offered. However, everything we selected was prepared perfectly and service was great.
I've eat at the Reston, VA restaurant several times and was excited to bring my wife who loves seafood. With the exception of my wife's oysters which she said were good and fresh, the food was pretty disappointing.
Service was ok but super slow on a Sunday with maybe 5 tables. It took 15 minutes before anyone came by to ask if we wanted water and bread. The second drink order took over 10 minutes so while we waited, our food was getting cold.
My wife had the Dungeness Crab & Shrimp Cakes, in my opinion the crab was so broken down it was literal mush. Flavor was ok, but the texture and mouth feel for me was awful. I had the fish and chips. The fish was good but the beer batter was only partially crispy and the fries were a total loss...fries were literally floppy soggy and inedible.
Due to the price of this place I seriously doubt we will be back and its too bad because the VA location was superb.
Service was not upto standard. Table was not set up properly and waitress was not around when you needed her. Cappicino coffee was not made properly too weak and cold.
My wife and I were celebrating our 30th anniversary. We had never been to a McCormick & Schmick's restaurant. We were given the Five Stars treatment. Great job in personalizing our dinner experience. A very positive and memorable evening. Our thanks to the entire staff. Always, Wilson & Denise
It took too long g to be acknowledged when we walked in and after being seated I had to go find someone twice to get service.
I took my friend to lunch for her birthday. The atmosphere of the restaurant was so relaxing and comfortable. James was our server and he made us both feel very relaxed and pampered. The food was delicious and he surprised my friend with a chocolate dessert with a candle. Very special day!
We keep going back, and once again leaving disappointed. Yes, it was Friday evening and we made dinner reservations with Open Table. We waited over 15 minutes to be seated when there were vacant tables. Once seated, we waited a bit to order drinks. Bread arrived (no bread plates) we ordered an appetizer. Waited quite some time, and our salads were delivered, but no appetizer. As we were finishing our salads, our appetizer (calamari) was delivered. We were told it was because of happy hour backing up the fryers??? Our dinners came out within minutes... overall, the food was good... but wow, once again, we left disappointed.....
The service was horrible! The waitress was soo slow
always blamed the bar or the kitchen for her lake of attention and bad service. This is not the way I wanted to spend my evening. They serve poor poor quality food and not worth the money! So disappointing.
Bartender would not sell me 2 drinks to take back to my table. Said that I might be giving a drink to an underage person.
That is ridiculous. There were no minors in the restaurant. This was Happy Hour.
This McCormick & Schmick has certainly improved since we first started to go to this restaurant. We were given a lovely and quiet table and the service was great. Prices very affordable for a 'nice' restaurant and ambiance excellent. We recommend this place!
While the service was good and the ambience was as expected, overall food was subpar. Fish over cooked and portion size was disappointing. Will not be coming back to this location.
Although a bit pricey, this restaurant is top notch as well as the food, service and overall experience. Great for special occasions!
First time at this location. We loved it. Great wine, great food, and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back.
Very nice restaurant but, our reservation was at 5:00pm on the other other side of restaurant was not open. Our meal was over $200. and we expect atmosphere not the parking lot. We will never dine at 5:00 again we want to sit on nicer side of restaurant.
Our server was outstanding but, that does not make up for of the location that we were seated in.
Oysters from Oregon were bad. Waitress didn’t take them off the bill. Sick today still.
Excellent food with great service , loved the whole evening dining in style !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent dining experience. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent and attentive.
I am sad to say I would not recommend M&S during this last visit. My husband and I were very disappointed with the food and service. The beef filets were flavorful but tough (very disappointing. I expected a better piece of meat for the price). The service was very rushed. It was not a relaxing "date night". The server hovered and obviously was in a hurry to get us in and out.
We went in early to have a cocktail and the waitress was great. We were escorted to out table and the sat down. We had taken our drinks from the bar to our table.
When the waitress came to out table she seemed off, not very friendly and that's how the rest of our visit was.
She did bring a birthday dessert to my husband and that was that. I expected the food to taste better and the service by the waitress to also be better.
Server was not very interested with the service of our table. We were celebrating my 50th birthday and just was flat. No enthusiasm or fun. The food was ok but the expensive steaks were over cooked and were a bit like tough leather. the salads were like something you would expect from Sizzler. The side choices with the meal were overpriced and very basic. It was Friday night at 7:30 and the place was kinda a ghost town after the happy hour crowd at the bar cleared out. Unfortunately we will not be back unless we hear things are better. Kinda a bummer since they ambiance and location are Awesome.
The service was perfunctory at best and several things had to be specifically requested...eg water and bread and a refill for my wife's soda. My food was on the cold side and not particularly good. The wine by the glass options were very limited at best. In general, it was a very corporate restaurant, no where as good as the original one in Seattle.
Great Service and food. They even had our names printed on the menu to celebrate our anniversary.
Our daughter and son-in law gave my husband and I gift cards for Christmas and we used it for my husband’s birthday dinner - the dinner was wonderful and the food delicious. We’ll be back again.
We had an early dinner reservation and there were plenty of open tables. We were seated in about 15 minutes, but no one even acknowledged us at the table for almost 20 minutes. Our server finally appeared. We ordered cocktails and an appetizer first. It was almost another 20 minutes before our order came. Dinner was great once we got our orders. However, we were offered bread when we ordered our drinks, but that didn't come until right before our dinner order. Cant believe they didn't have baked bread ready when they opened. Very disappointed as we do like this restaurant.
Horrible food was cold, service was slow and bad plus place was empty. Had a reservation and still had to sit at bar and wait then I had to ask if table was ready. Just a crap experience no wonder they are shutting down
It was my husbands 44th Birthday and I had booked a reservation for 7:30pm. I checked in at 7:08pm I. Which I also showed my Landry’s card. I was told there would be a little wait. We weren’t seated until 8:20pm! We got water at 8:40! It was supper noise that we had to close the curtains just to hear eachother. Our dinner came at 9:20! Food was excellent and I did tell the manager “ compliments to the chef” . We left after 10:14pm. Look the food is great but not worth the wait! I felt bad because my husband had to wait so long ! Who wants to wait on their birthday. Besides what’s the point of a reservation if you have to wait almost an hour ! I will never again step foot into this place. 👎🏼
Waited an hour and had reservations!! Rude
It was a nice restaurant, the salmon was a little over cooked but the clam chowder was outstanding (some of the best in the area). My mother said the oysters were not to tasteful and she did not like them. Other wise a decent experience.
Sarah was great!
I would recommend but I wouldn’t fluff it up. Overall I was looking for a good fish house meal. Was underwhelmed. The wait was 45 min with a reservation, the service was slow. She was very courteous just slow. The meal that I had, Blue Cobia, was bland and just not great. My husband had the stuffed salmon and he enjoyed it. The apple pie was good. Just not really excited and won’t return anytime soon.
It was a birthday celebration and the service was poor in the beginning. Got a little better. Had to ask several times for requests from the waiter. I thought the overall experience was overpriced. We probably won't come back.
Even though we had reservations we waited 25 minutes to be seated, server was slow and inattentive, food was not as good as it usually is and they changed the menu (significantly reducing the choices).
Made a reservation through Open Table for 7:30. Checked in, but wasnt seated until about 7:50. Please note it was the Friday after Valentine's Day. Food was amazing and James our waiter provided outstanding service. All in all a great experience minus the wait time with a reservation.
Seats were running behind but it was Valentine's day so this is to be expected. Wife ordered the filet medium well but is was medium rare and large amount of fat. Salad was great. Potatoes were great. Ribeye was great. The filet was not the best.
