I did not expect to be seated right next to the door for outdoor eating. I expected that with an advance reservation, I would not have been seated next to a very breezy door. While my party was moved to another table, that table was not conducive to a party of 5.
Celebrating our 11th wedding anniversary
We went here for our anniversary dinner. The meal was good. The server was stretched between many tables which made the service a little slow and lacking
Food was okay, but I guess I expected more. Not really any good dessert options if you’re picky, went for my birthday & nothing really exciting. Not a birthday song, complimentary dessert nothing. Oh well.
Medium well is not char outside and all pink inside
They were short on staff and the server was unable to be attentive and there were long waits to get her attention when we had needs. One meal was very good and the other was mediocre, meat dry, no mushrooms, only 3 asparagus Spears! No complimentary dessert or other item was offered for our anniversary. Every other higher end restaurant we have frequented offer some complimentary item for special occasions. They had a VIP sign on our table but we did not feel like VIP customers by our treatment.
Jordan was our server and he was great! Food was delicious. Can't wait to come back again
McCormick & Schmick really helped us celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary with a terrific meal and great service. It was a real treat.
The charred octopus was fantastic. I also had the west Australian lobster tail topped with scampi..all cooked to perfection.
The Rosemont location does not meet my expectations for a McCormick & Schmick. The hostess was abrupt, the parking is an awful situation (no valet during our visit), staff was pleasant but not friendly or very knowledgeable about the menu. Find another fabulous spot in Rosemont. Hard pass on M&S.
Crab legs were awesome. Big and tasted better than Bob Chinns. Steak was excellent and a big portion for a center cut, very tender
Calamari was so dry and flavorless. None of the food except the steak was made fresh. All of our food taste like it was sitting under a heat lamp! Service was ok! I wouldn't recommend going back not worth the price!
We split the bill with another couple. The other couple had a gift card to apply to their portion of the check. Waitress came back with half of the bill on one card and had thrown out the other credit card with the gift card. She had to find the credit card and then had to rework the bill. Other couple was not happy with the situation. Food was good. Service was slower than expected.
Service was very poor, especially since the restaurant was pretty empty. Chilean Sea Bass was edible but certainly have had much better.
The service was great - not too pushy, not too absent. Food and drinks were brought out in a timely fashion, and each dish was delicious. I highly recommend the charred octopus and lobster mash potatoes. Chocolate silk pie was an amazing dessert to share. We will be back.
Food was delicious courtesy to the Chef. We had a good time.
Delicious! The berry photo was excellent. We ordered a nice spread of the happy hour specials. The mussels were the best.
Great meal. Seafood very fresh.
The food was outstanding, everything we had was just great. The service was excellent as well....
Good food, nice server but he didn’t seem to familiar with the items to make recommendations beyond the chefs specials
To start, I completely understand everywhere is understaffed. With that said, the server we had was the host when we arrived, the server as well. He was very overwhelmed with doing both. No one was there to help. Drinks and food for each course took quiet long to get. I noticed other tables were a bit annoyed by the slow service too. I am in the industry and I was shocked at a place like this, the restaurant GM or manager was not around to be supportive of the server. I saw her after we were there for an hour bring out asparagus to another table. On a positive note the food was delicious. You could tell the Oysters Rockefeller were sitting in the window for a few minutes before the server served them because there was a skin on the hollandaise and a bit dry. Drinks were also very good. We tipped the server well because it was not his fault he was busy with no help, though I would make sure the manager is there to help in any way possible. The server was friendly, made great suggestions, had great menu knowledge and did well at multi-tasking.
A slow start getting drink order placed and delivered to the table. There was a shortage of staff and masks worn by staff has got to go! Our server was very eager to please. We will return, just can't give a perfect rating at this time.
The food was excellent ( we both had sea bass and split the walnut pie w/cinnamon ice cream). Our server was outstanding and even took pictures for us. She was absolutely lovely.
However, I think for the price we paid, we could have had more sides added into our dish. The fish was a good portion but we had very few potatoes and a tiny amount of spinach.
Very disappointed; although they are knowingly understaffed, it still does not excuse bringing cold coffee to the table and not having essential menu items.
The service was great! Our waiter Mike was very personable and welcoming. The environment was clean and comfortable. The food is where I was the biggest critic. Ribeye was over seasoned. The crab legs were good, but not great for the price. Very happy they have a kids meal. The sea bass was excellent.
OVERALL TERRIBLE ............ESPECIALLY THE FOOD ..
Our server, Jordan, was wonderful. Very attentive and helpful.
We were at the restaurant for over two hours and had a very enjoyable experience.
The is now the 2nd bad experience, first being way pre-COVID and now post. Used to come here quite frequently, but not really sure what happened to the overall staffing, very rough. Walked in for our reservation, bartender looked right at us and kept working, eventually walking outside. Could hear 2 people chatting near the kitchen, waited for a few minutes before asking if anyone was available to help. Was finally seated (we were the only people in the place) and server had a personality of a wet rag. Very impersonal. Asked about the special listed on the website, neither he or the manager had any clue, and we were asked to pull it up from their website on our phones to prove it. Seriously? Oyster apps were great, but the berry mojito tasted different every time. While we were getting ready to order, several more tables filled up, one with a very large party of about 20, plus 3 other tables. Same server as ours. Finally got our order in, lobster bisque was oliy and way too salty. Stuffed salmon was undercooked. Ordered a separate lobster tail, and had to request twice for a knife (other than a butter knife) to cut it. Expect for things to be a little shaky due to COVID, but not quite this bad. Sadly, we will not return here. Also, free parking in the garage no longer free and is $5. You would think after spending $250 on a meal that the validated parking would be free, like it used to be. Better than the $30 I guess, but still... no longer worth it.
The food was good. I think they were understaffed. It appeared there was only one waiter for the entire section.
M&S for a calm Saturday afternoon lunch. Enjoyed the low key experience.
The server was very attentive. Still quiet ambiance which was nice.
Food was excellent but customer service lacking due to being understaffed there was one guy bartending and waiting on 10 tables (Diego) he was so overwhelm he was sweating profusely not a good look from a waiter standing in front of your table taking your order at a high end restaurant. There is no parking so you have to park in the hotel garage which is $30 that's ridiculous they try to make you feel better by giving $5 discount on parking fees not enough suppose to be about the food not stimulating the local economy
Great lunch. Should give 5 stars
Great food, tasty, high quality. Outstanding value for the price!
We were seated promptly, food didn't take long to arrive. Our meal and drinks were delicious, steak prepared to perfection.
M&S used to be a go-to place for special dinners. The Rosemont location has really gone downhill, maybe due to COVID? Their dirty martini used to be my favorite but it was poorly mixed and served in a tumbler full of ice. The crab cakes had bits of shell in them and the filet was a very poor cut of meat more like a chopped steak. They need to get back on their game before I will return. The shrimp kisses were the only bright spot.
Went for dinner after coming back from vacation. Great food. We both the Chef’s Choices. They were excellent! Service was a little slow but friendly and helpful.
Waiter wasn’t that attentive. He kept forgetting about our table. Great food and lovely ambiance.
