Excellent service, attentive. Great crab cake and chopped salad. Miso sea bass was perfect. Scallops done correct.
Our waiter was horrible, manger gave us a free appetizer, but our night was already tarnished...food was bland and tasted like it was prepared quickly due to it being a busy Saturday night
Great service, great food. The manager checked back with us at the end of our dinner. No wait when we arrived. Parking was convenient or they have valet as well. Close to Rosemont Theatre so we were able to walk to our show after dinner. Restaurant was clean.
Grossly overpriced food for the quality. This was a seafood restaurant and I expected fresh seafood and was dismayed by the quality of the sea bass and octopus. My husband ordered a steak and the quality of the food was akin to Applebee’s, but at least with AB’s you know what you’re getting. Lesson learned...we’ll never be back and a warning to all.
Would not return to this particular M&S. Slow service. Strange 90s music playlist for a more formal restaurant. Food came out cold. No Valentine's Day menu. Bitter after taste to clam chowder and lobster. Ordered wine and it was never brought out. Plenty of other options in the area. We were surprised since we've been to other M&S locations and had good experiences.
I wish I could not give that. Not one thing I got out of my important dinner was positive. Starting with the delayed reservation. Then the poor attitude bartenders. The waitress took 20 mins just to greet us and ask if we wanted to start with anything as an appetizer. Let alone give us a feel on what to expect in regards to the night. Last but not least, the valet could not find my car and my car was still warm after being out for 2 plus hours in single digit weather! Sooooo were they keeping warm on my expense? Does that help in a small run down of how it went? Hope so!!
Yes on a normal night but definitely not on a busy evening, like on Valentines. The service was horrible and the food was cold. For spending $240 for 2 people at that place, you would think they would be on their "A" game. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
This place was nice too my wife there for Valentine's day, reservation was for 7:00pm we got there at 6:45 we were seated at 7:00. Great Bar, and the Food was very delicious we had steak, scallops, Oysters Rockefellers , veggies, I even asked for grilled onions for my steak and they were great with it, no steak sauce needed!!!! Gruyere cheese mashed potatoes were outstanding. And then topped it off with dessert the up side down glazed walnut apple pie with vanilla bean ice cream.... Glass of Wine, and a nice Crown Royal on the rocks left there totally satisfied!!!!
We went there for Valentine's Day. We were pleasantly surprised on the food and the price overall. Very good and the ambiance was great. We arrived late to the reservation and accommodated us within minutes although it was full. Service was a bit off though, not the best for a restaurant of this caliber, it might have been due to how busy the night was.
We arrived earlier than our reservation but were seated promptly. Great service, great tasting food. Great valet and great atmosphere.
We requested a booth but were placed in a back room next to the kitchen service door, despite the restaurant being relatively empty at 5pm.
Valet was a joke. Over 22 minor get our car with other patrons getting their cars quickly. When we asked the hostess about the valet issues her response was “we have nothing to do with the valet”. I disagree, they are set up in front of your restaurant with your restaurant name on the valet sign.
Great food, great atmosphere, we’ll be back!
Food presentation was outstanding and tasted absolutely delicious! The Service was amazing! It wasn't just our server either. I looked around and saw the Manger and all the servers were very attentive to the customers needs. Very well ran restaurant.
The seafood stew was outstanding! Wish we had known that the Valet Parking was included.
The shrimp sandwich was dry. I did not get a water refill on my glass.
Poor parking signs. Our reservation was at 7. We were about 30 minutes early so we sat at the bar which was under staffed. We waited a good 10 min. before being acknowledged by a bartender. We were seated at 7:15 pm in an area that looked like an extra room where they place overflow. It did not have that cozy feeling the rest of the restaurant had. There were 8 tables in this room and only 1 server for all of them. Our server was working very, very hard to keep up but we knew that was impossible. There was no one cleaning up the 3 other tables after customers left. No one to pour water or clear plates. Our server had to do it all. We felt bad for him. When a bus person finally showed up he only partially cleared the dirty tables. There were also 2 tall tables in clear view near the wall that were stacked with dirty dishes. Our take is that this place is poorly managed. The food was OK. Good but not fantastic. We choose not to return.
Service was less attentive than expected. Food was good in appearance, and ok tasting. It was very loud in the restaurant. Once food was delivered, a quick check back was all we saw of the waiter. Never came by to see if we wanted to order more beverages. No removing of the dinner dishes until we asked for our check. We weren’t even offered a look at the dessert menu. A second visit is unlikely.
Dave was really great with helping us find a wine we enjoyed. It was the perfect evening for catching up with a friend I hadn’t seen in a few years! We enjoyed the Happy Hour menu and ambiance greatly!
It’s was fine
It was a poor experience all around. The staff did not seem to want to be there, the food was not very good and everything was expense considering the quality.
We waited 15 minutes after being seated for someone to come over. After we complained, the manage came over but didn’t offer anything for our unacceptable wait time. The place was not busy. Don’t believe we’ll go back.
We had a fabulous table; it was a booth that had curtains hanging for privacy if we wished.
We each had a cup of lobster bisque to start; the flavor was wonderful, but it was very thin.
My friend had the shrimp scampi, which she said was quite good.
I had the recommended ahi tuna (sesame crusted) special. It was very good. The wasabi mashed potatoes were amazing! The bok choy had a sweet chili pepper glaze, which was incredible. The tuna was very dry (even though it was just seared and raw inside), and bland. It was cooked properly, but just bland. I asked for some of the bok choy glaze and that helped a lot!!!
The service was slow and our server forgot a bowl of soup. The restaurant was fairly busy.
Overall, I do not think I will go back.
The food was delicious and the restaurant is very pretty.
sneeky deceptive food and value and atmosphere and server were top notch I didn't appreciate the fact that we had to ask for the restaurant week menu.. The menu was not offered to us or anyone seated near us.. Other parties were apparently not aware of the special menu because non of the other parties asked about the special restaurant week menu We dined at capital grille and gene and giorgettis and wildfire during restaurant week and all of those restaurants included the special menu along with the regular menu upon being seated..
Birthday celebration. Food was great! Service was slow. The dining room was cold. Needed to wear a warm scarf while eating
The food was just okay but way over priced!
Waiter was slow to take our order and balked at friend’s request for gluten free on Restaurant Week menu even though I had called ahead and been told no problem. Also there were no parking validation tickets left as we were leaving so your staff had to walk us over to the hotel to get one.
We had a group of 5 with 6:00 reservation on a Saturday. We were seated immediately but our table was in the middle of a walkway. The waiters carried other tables' orders over our heads and repeatedly warned us to not push back.
The service started out fine with drink and appetizer order and dinner order being taken at a nice pace. Drinks and appetizer arrived timely but then the main course was a long time coming. We ordered dessert and, again, that was a long wait.
The group's feedback about the food is mixed. The filet was well cooked at rare. The NY Strip ordered medium rare was overcooked with some grizzle at one end and the accompanying roasted vegetables were not warm. The sea bass tasted great but, again, the dish was not served hot. The filet medallions were nicely done. The salmon with bourbon glaze was dry. Like I said, very mixed reviews from the group.
As for desserts - the raspberry sorbet was not cold and quite soupy/melted; the upside down apple pie al a mode was enjoyed, and my wife ate most of the key lime pie we were supposed to share.
I was disappointed considering my prior experiences with M&S have been excellent.
Customized Birthday menu was an excellent touch, as was the end of meal treat! Well done. Kudos to the server!
I have never been disappointed. Love the food and atmosphere. Servers are always great.
Excellent! Food was wonderful. Service was great. We asked for more time to review the menu and server was great. She did not pressure us.
Amazing experience, excellent food, excellent service. Can’t wait to return.
The waiter forgot some of our food. The portion were too small and they were way over priced. Then at the end of our meal the waiter attempted to sell us on Landry rewards card and kept forcing this product after we told him we were not interested.
This place was old fashion nice, I prefer downtown but for the Rosemont area it was upscale and nice but not my kind of place.
The waiter Angel talked really fast and it felt like he was a radio announcer. The food was ok, steak was done really well though so there was that.
All in all it was an ok experience, but would probably get a better or similar experience at LongHorn
great food, checked on us frequently, & great experience.
We stopped in Sunday for lunch, on our way to the PBR event at Allstate Arena. To kick things off I ordered fresh oysters from their featured list -- as a fan of raw oysters I can tell when they're past their prime. These were fresh and firm, great flavors and the sauces provided hit the mark. My wife had a petit filet and my main was the King Salmon from the small plates menu. It came resting on top of a melange of bean, asparagus and mushroom alongside a butter reduction. I love King Salmon so this was a treat and again the quality and freshness of the ingredient was there. The fish was right on the edge of being a little over but still flavorful and moist on the inside.
Service was great. The restaurant was not busy.
On a street populated with steak houses is great to know there's a solid option that offers a high quality seafood experience.
Service awful, 30 minute wait for bread. No one liked their food. I had crab stuffed shrimp, couldn’t taste any crab, just bread. Free valet only plus.
New Years ever dinner
Valet was fabulous and was the wait staff and our food
