McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Rosemont
Tender steaks and fresh produce from local farms are featured and named on the menu daily - and our craft cocktails are popular every day of the week.
Please ask about our signature oysters, Johnny Shucks and Cali Kumu - they are carefully grown then harvested from private oyster beds exclusive to M&S.

Valentine Dinner. Had to ask for bread 3 times. I ordered a bowl of soup and server gave me a cup which was exchange for a bowl when mentioned. Dessert served without utensils and waited for 5-7 minutes until the server realized they forgot the utensils. Check was inaccurate, additional $50 in items were mistakenly added to our bill.
It was our first time to MS. We go to Steak/Seafood restaurants regularly. It took quite some time to be waited on after we were seated. Our reservation was early and it was not busy. Our waiter was incredibly polite but awkward. The flow of ordering was not smooth. The food was marginal. The 10 lettuce salad was good. If you are in Rosemont, go to Hugo’s at the Casino or Gibson’s. Much better food and overall service.
Executive resturaunt with unfortunate seafood for those with a per diem. Becoming typical of the Rosemont entertainment area.
My party of four came to celebrate birthdays. We had a reservation and were seated immediately in a booth as requested. It took the server 10 mins to greet us and take our drink order. It took another 15 mins to get our drinks. The food was ok but my scallops were overcooked.
Because the reservation asked if it was a special occasion and I had written it was a birthday celebration, I expected some kind of acknowledgment. But there was none.
We had fun but not because of the restaurant.
Everything was good but my steak was mildly overcooked asked for medium rare and I got medium. they did offer to change it out for me but I don't believe in wasting food and I know the other steak would have gotten thrown away so I accepted it as is and it was fine. Other than that the dinner the service everything was amazing.
Calamari and Oysters were okay. Steak and Poke was very good. Drinks were good. Overall a Happy Birthday.
Love the inside. Complimentary valet parking. Great food, wine and service..
I look forward to my next dining experience. It was unbelievably pleasant and the service was fantastic. Needless to say I am a regular customer and it gets better every time I visit.
It's an Old World Style restaurant, which is not bad. Unfortunately the food was just average, and not super fresh looking like it should be at an establishment in this price range. The waitress wasn't super friendly either and was not familiar with the menu. Just go across the parking lot at the Capital Grill. Better food and better service at similar prices.
Terrible service. Hostesses were rude and could not handle their job. No point in making a reservation because they don’t honor it. We left before begin sat after our reserved time
We were seated at a table with three people we did not know. We were a two person reservation and they were a three. We were seated first at a table for five and I kept saying we were a two person group. Finally we sat down thinking that you were giving us a larger table for no reason. Then you brought three people to our table. We ALL Said we are not with them and you seated them and walked away. Then I told the waiter we needed separate checks because we were not with them. He scowled and I said seriously we are not together. And he walked away.
I was not at a Benihana ???? When we left and told the hostesses and manager first we were told that did not happen. All 5 of us Sakai Yes it did. They were like you should have told is and we said we did! No one offered any compensation. I have Never have experienced anything like this. Fortunately we all five got along and did not want to be rude with the other people but seriously??.
Everything about this place was great. Service, food, drinks. The prices were very reasonable. We would return if ever in the area again.
Good food.waitress excellent.food presentation very good. We will definitely come back.
The service was a little slow. Food was good, but dessert was very dry and seemed old (carrot cake)
I chose the Hawaiian Mahi Mahi. I would say that this is the best meal that I have had in a long time. The blackened fish with the lump crab meat was out of this world good. But I have to say that the andouille mashed potatoes were even better. This was the first time trying andouille (which I didn't realize was a sausage) but it gave the mashed potatoes the perfect complement to the fish.
LOVED this meal.
Service was outstanding !
Nice touch was the restaurant presented us a custom Dinner menu with "Happy Anniversary" written on top to recognize our special day. Food was fantastic.
Steak and Lobster perfect.
Thanks McCormick & Schmicks !!!
It was a very nice experience. The food and service was great!
Although the food was great and the restaurant facilities are beautiful, our server was awful and we will not go back to this location. We like McCormick and Schmick's, but will only go to the location in Chicago.
I originally made a reservation at a different restaurant, but had many friends recommend McCormick & Schmick's so I changed my reservation to this restaurant. The calamari appetizer was overdone/overfried. I had the fried shrimp for dinner and, just like the calamari, it was overfried. My husband had a steak which was done as he wanted it, but the mashed potatoes were half warm, half cold. Service was good, but food quality is more important. Very, very disappointed. I doubt my husband and I will return to this restaurant's location.
Varied menu and excellent food preparation. Great for pre-show dinner if you’re going to the Rosemont Theater.
I’m sorry, we love this place but our service was bad and our food was very disappointing. For almost a $200 bill, our server had a chip on his shoulder and all of our food was luke warm. The mushrooms were cold and he never came back to ask how things were and we had tickets for a show so couldn’t wait around to send our food back. I saw other reviews about the bad service and I too agree. Avoid the one in Rosemont.
Dinner was good but the group seated next to us was loud.
The food and atmosphere was great as usual, our server was definitely having a bad night.
First time at this location. Parking is complimentary valet but if you choose to park at the garage at front, the fee is $5 even with validation. Food was amazing. Our waiter took a bit while to check on us so I always constantly feel like we’re waiting for him. I’m not saying all waiters were like that. Overall the experience was a pleasant one.
Wonderful food, wonderful friends, wonderful ambience! Always a good experience.
The place is very nice and food is good but the customer service might benefit from some training. My daughter found a hair in her food. The manager offered apology but we still had to pay for the meal. I expected a little more than that. If you are planning to eat at that restaurant, check your meal for hair and if you find any do not expect to get your meal replaced.
Service was GREAT just didn't think the value was there for the price.
Due to the snowy conditions outside, it was a bit quieter than normal for a Saturday night. Had the Hawaiian Mahi Mahi, it was excellent.
We had the dinner special for couples who belong to the Landry Club. It was alright - not great. We had lobster - good, filet, good, salad was terrible, lobster bisque soup pretty good - dessert - chocolate bag was very good. Nothing really outstanding, however except the service. Waiter, Miguel was friendly, competent and very, very nice. Would I go there again - maybe. There are so many outstanding restaurants in the northern suburbs and the O'Hare area - I'm not sure I would chose to go back to a place where the food was pretty average.
Service was a little slow for lunch hour. We weren't given any water refills. Quiet ambiance. Excellent food.
Had not been to M&S in many years. Was very pleasantly surprised. Server was great but they were not busy at all on the day/time we were there. Highly recommend the 10 Greens Salad & the Crab/Shrimp Stuffed Salmon which were both EXCELLENT. Husband loved ribeye. Son liked spicy chicken/pasta dish. Side of mushrooms were delicious as well.
This past weekend, I ordered the Cobia and requested to have it prepared like the Grilled Wild Isles Salmon. (Beets, cippollini onions, asparagus and black peppercorn horseradish sauce)
I was expecting a black peppercorn and horseradish sauce but it didn’t taste at all like black peppercorn or horseradish.
I am not sure what the black, thick, shiny and sweet sauce consisted of but I am highly allergic to soy sauce, Asian sauces and Worcestershire sauce and would never have ordered any meal that even suggested soy sauce or “Asian” flavored.
I am now dealing with the allergic reactions to the ingredients in this meal.
I am requesting a list of the ingredients and would ask for consideration when listing entrees properly.
I am a frequent Chicago restaurant diner and very careful about placing orders due to my allergies. I feel like either the sauce was mislabeled or prepared incorrectly.
Great drinks, food was only okay. The crab legs lacked flavor
Food was just okay....It used to be much better.
The service was great.
Brought us the wrong appetizer, but we ate it anyway. It was tiny. Entrees came about 1 minute after the app, we we had hot food sitting there while we finished the app. My $38 order of scallops had 4 so-so scallops and watery spinach underneath it. The place was empty yet they rushed us through. We were in and out in a bit over an hour. NOT worth the price!!
Drinks and dessert were fantastic. However, the food is expensive for run of the mill flavor, portions, and quality.
Appetizer was pricey and lacked flavor.
Our New Years Eve dinner. Better than expected, fantastic food & service, I'd give it 6 stars if I could.
Food wasn’t prepared the way we wanted it. Steak came rare when we said medium. They didn’t bring a new steak. They put my old steak back on the grill.
I was very disappointed with this visit. My husband and I eat at this particular location a lot. Normally. the food and service is good. NYE was hectic and they probably had the less senior staff working because of the holiday. First I did not get a booth right away and I did not like the location, the hostess told me she would let me know when one of the other booths cleared, she did not. So we sat on the platform area.
They did not have the wine I wanted. We wanted kendall Jackson and after taking the order, the waiter came back and said that they were out. He also forgot to take it off the bill and we had to wait extra time for him to do that we we finished dinner. We ordered a slightly more expensive wine.
Next, I ordered Oyster Rockefeller. He told me that they were not offering that as an option because they had a special NYE menu with only certain items on it. The regular menu was not available. I was livid because no one told us that the regular menu was not available. I ordered an entree that I was not too thrill to get. BUT, it was good. It was not my ideal dinning experience. But, because I know that it is not normally like that, I will return on a none holiday to dine again.
I have been to McCormick & Schmick's several times but this time was not up to their usual standard. Yes, it was New Year's Eve so they were busy but that is not an excuse in my mind. The menu offered was not the standard dinner menu, it was a smaller "holiday" menu without the two things I usually get when I go there. I ordered an appetizer that the waiter admitted he forgot to order so we never got it. The bone in rib eye steak was not even "average". No marbling, dry, zero flavor. My son had to load it with salt to give it any flavor at all. The Chilean Sea Bass was good. Overall it was very expensive for a very average meal.
