The food was great and the staff was very attentive.
Birthday dinner. Everything was good except for the loud music. Very difficult to converse and enjoy the moment with all the music blaring.
Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner in the back dining room!
My wife and I really enjoyed dinner there, the seafood was very fresh, the service excellent.
This is one of our favorite restaurants. They always do a great job. The service is excellent and the food well prepared and very tasty.
The water was served in a big glass bottle and we got charged $7 without telling us...more expensive than two cups of cocktail $3/each
Server was awesome! Food was delicious. Great dining atmosphere.
HORRIBLE. The worst food and service. A massively important customer dinner for 9 people. SLOW doesn't even describe the glacial pace...45 min to even get a bread basket. Note this was the kitchen and management (or lack thereof) not the waitress. Drinks when they arrived we wrong - the waitress actually asked if one of our party wanted their martini "sweet" - huh? The appetizers were average at best; this included the lobster bisque I ordered which was delivered without a spoon. 8 minutes later it was as lukewarm as the ribeye they brought later. We spoke to the manager - they literally sent someone junior over not the real manager!! It was the worst most expensive meal in a 30 year career. This company should be absolutely ashamed.
We enjoyed our dinner but were seated next to the bar and the noise level was very loud. Our waiter was attentive but we ended up with the wrong drinks and, although delicious, the food portions seemed smaller than they used to be.
A nice, not-overcomplicated menu of seasonal and other specials. I had the Hawaiian Tuna which as cooked perfectly, served on wasabi mashed potatoes. Really enjoyed it and there was exactly the right portion. I started wit the seasonal green salad which was fresh and a perfect compliment to the main meal. Wine selection decent but not extensive.
We ordered the entree of ahi tuna and a ribeye steak. At that point the server should have told us the tuna would be sliced paper thin and you get about 6 pieces. He should have said if we were looking for something more steaklike, the special tuna was a steak. At least set some expectation. When the entrees arrive we sat bewildered at the dish in front of us. We thought maybe he rung up the appetizer so we check the description. Nope that was the entree. This meager slice of tuna was a meal. We didn’t want to be rude and send it back so we at it. I felt guilty that I was eating a steak and my partner was eating what was basically 5 quick bites. The cost was about $30 for this “meal”. The appetizer of tuna was $15. I would be horrified to see what you get for $15. The restaurant should put on their menu a description of how little you get or the server should confirm the amount of the order. If you go, don’t order the ahi tuna as a meal and expect to leave full.
I have been a long time diner at McCormick and Schmick's, which makes this even harder. My last two meals-one in Tysons, one at Reston Town Center both left something to be desired--service. The service on both occasions was poor at best. My most recent visit to RTC a few weeks ago was head-scratching. I had a guest from Brazil and she requires gluten free food. We asked twice for the gluten free menu. Once received we both ordered the same fish, one from the gluten free menu and one from the regular menu. When the food arrived, they were both the same--the waiter told her it was gluten free but we knew better. After a bit of conversation they took her food back and then we sat there and sat there waiting for her correct dish to arrive. The manager came by and we caught his attention, he immediately checked on where her dish was and it arrived shortly thereafter. At the end the waiter brought us a creme brûlée (delicious) for our trouble but ...whether someone has health issues or not are they not there to assist us in having a pleasant meal? Very disappointed.
My wife and I went there for our second wedding anniversary. They asked us what the occasion was when we made the reservation. I do not know why because they gave us a table closest to the door. They did not make the night special at all. Why ask what the occasion was for? Upon receiving our food, I got a center cut ribeye medium rare. It was a thin overcooked piece of meat. The manager looked surprise at the cut of meat himself. They then remade me a new steak. However this time it was completely raw. Third time was the charm. Unfortunately my wife was done eating before I even took my first bite. 40$ for a USDA choice piece of meat? I don't get why it cost so much. Not going back....ever.
