Everything about the night was perfect. We went out for a birthday celebration and were not disappointed. Food was amazing. Service was good. Oklahoma Joe, assistant manager, checked-in with us several times to insure all was good. He made the evening perfect by just caring enough to stop by our table.
Amazing food, great service
The staff were very customer friendly. Only need a heater on patio if eating outside. Limited outdoor tables.
We had a large table (10) on a busy day (Easter) for brunch. We had at least two waiters - one primary and another contributing as needed. Our primary wasn't very prompt, but the second waiter supporting (Ryan I recall), whom we've had before, was awesome. Very cheerful, and overall service was good. Lastly, I think all of our diners enjoyed their meals. However, I had the 13 oz ribeye which was done the way I ordered, but I found the meat a little tough .. flavor good, texture tough.
The Reston location for McCormick and Schmick's is dated. The table we sat at had many rings of water stains. That's fine, but I remember think of this place as "classy" a long time ago. Not so much this time around. Food was good enough for what it was. The crab cake had more filler/flour or something than I'd like. Scallops were good, the clam chowder and lobster bisque were good.
The server seemed to have a bad day. Ms. Olga was real short with her answers, didn't seem happy to be there and had her arms folded and watched us leave the restaurant after we paid the bill. I don't think we did anything to offend her. We asked how her day was, tried to have casual conversation with her, but seemed real bothered. She refilled our water, which I'm grateful. Hard to tell if she was smiling given the masks everyone wears now. That being said, her tone, body language made her seemed annoyed.
The restaurant was clean, I appreciate that. Someone parked outside in a non-parking space right in front of the facility and then they came into to dine alone. Pre-pandemic, parking enforcement would have given this person a ticket. Now, eh...do what you want.
great service. good food. I an a native Floridian. Closest off the boat seafood in the area.
This was a revisit to an old favorite, post-pandemic shutdown. I have to admit that I was disappointed; this dinner did not match up to prior experiences.
I recall the bartended from my prior visits … he may be the manager as well. He was focused, attentive, friendly … all one might want in an establishment. The wait staff was somewhat inexperienced, but more than made up for it in enthusiasm, if not attentiveness.
The clam chowder was good. However, the rib-eye was not. It was small, with too much gristle, and (initially) undercooked. I do not believe that I have sent a steak back (in my life) for being too rare : I had to do so this time. The truffle fries were "okay"; again, not up to my recollection.
The best part of the meal was the cheesecake.
I do not like writing reviews such as this. But, I will return, if for no other reason than to see that this was an "off night" … I hope it was.
Our server was great - the food and drinks excellent
Server was on day 3. No one shadowing him on a Friday night is insane! Food lacked flavor. My wife’s chicken breast was paper thin and dry.
Awesome service, great drinks, shrimp and crab was great. Salmon was a little under seasoned for my wife and I taste but still great food.
The Jamieson's whisky salmon was outstanding! And the potato croquette was to die for! Would definitely get this again. Although it was a special, I hope they consider making it a regular entree. We've never been disappointed at this restaurant. Their happy hour specials in the bar are one of the best in the area.
Geat service, food with happy hour drink pricing, will continue to frequent McCormick's in Reston !
We came for my son's 18th birthday. The place was beautiful. The service was excellent. And the food was outstanding.
Amazing food in an amazing restaurant
Ryan the manager is fantastic and visited our table regularly. Our server (Kyle) was outstanding. We love this restaurant and can't wait to go back!
Food was very tasty. Service was pleasant and quick. We had a booth which was nice
Great steaks as always. Looking forward to trying their seafood next time we go.
Horrible service
Excellent food, service & atmosphere. Doing a great job to make customers feel safe during COVID. Highly recommend! The lobster bisque is a must!!
Although, we had to wait for about 15 minutes before anyone came to our table after we were seated, the service was excellent. Soloman waited on us, and he was great.
The waiter barely came to our table and the food was cold upon arrival and we were basically forgotten about. Service was terrible!
Solid place to go. Good food, clean and quiet while we were there for lunch. Server was very pleasant and the price is reasonable.
Excellent as always!
Service was attentive but not intrusive, congenial and spot on for everything we needed or asked for. The food was delicious, well prepared and nicely presented.
Service was truly outstanding. Our waiter was extremely attentive and took all the necessary COVID-19 precautions. We also appreciate the manager and general manager stopping by to make sure the food and service were to our liking. Great choice of music playing in the background, too.
We dined on Super Bowl night, consequently only 2-3 other tables were occupied, making for a very quiet and calm ambience. As we have allergy issues, wait staff and managers helped decide what was safe for us to eat, or could be modified for our safety. Our meals were excellent. It was a most pleasant evening.
Very enjoyable experience!!! Would highly recommend to anyone!!! The whole flounder was amazing!!!

My boyfriend and I came out for restaurant week, we wanted to try somewhere new for us. The restaurant was little dirty, tables were not wiped down, food crumbs in the floor with dirty silverware on the ground. The server was very friendly and very polite. The food was average, enjoyed my crab cakes and my boyfriend liked his steak. His mashed potatoes were cold, my roasted potatoes and green beans were not seasoned. The calamari was not good. The water tasted like it came from the faucet. We asked for lemon slices to see if it would cover the taste but did nothing. I decided to order some Coke which the Coke tasted like it came from the faucet. Since, I was disappointed in most of my meal I decided to skip dessert. Truly disappointed in my first experience here do not think I will be returning.
Little wait to get table with reservation, and service was backed up but we enjoyed and were appreciative
My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary here and had an absolutely amazing time. Service was impeccable, food was amazing, overall a great place to celebrate our anniversary.
Each year my daughter and I choose a restaurant for Winter Restuarant week. I had been to this location before for lunch so I thought she might enjoy it. First I must say that the calamari and my waitress was the highlight of my evening! The bartender was horrible. I ordered a margherita and it tasted like maybe the mix was expired or something. He was extremely offended when I told him about it. I just thought he should know before serving it to other guests. Then I ordered a Bourbon Mule. That was horrible too. At that point I realized the problem was him... The rest of the food was okay. The restaurant week selections could have been better. Mashed potatoes came out cold but good. The steak was cooked to my liking. The waitress suggested the bacon wrapped shrimp. It was pretty tasty. Overall we had a nice night.
We had a lovely meal with spectacular service and food!
Always a good meal, and the restaurant week food was even better than expected! Highly recommend..
A great meal with outstanding service in quiet surroundings to facilitate easy conversation!
Service was excellent! There was social distancing and waiter wore mask. The food was ok. We really enjoyed the shrimp kiss appetizer.
Very good quality food and coffee. Temperature of food & coffee could have been hotter. Excellent, attentive manager.
Great atmosphere and outstanding service
Good food. Service very good
Very pricey, however.
Great server
The staff was really nice and the food was great.
