price too high and quality poor. food waiting time too long.
Service and food were great. Plan to be back soon on a weekend when parking is free!
I only found one piece of a truffle in my crab mac n cheese. It needed some flavor and definitely more cheese. My husband really enjoyed his chocolate peanut butter pie. The service was excellent after an initial slow start.
Our server was avg... food was GREAT...for a 450 bill, we felt our server would have been more accomodating and less snooty
My friend and I had a late lunch celebrating her birthday. The food was so fresh and tasty. The service was impeccable - very attentive but not intrusive. Lovely ambiance. Freshest seafood! Recommend it for lunch or dinner. Oh, and they even brought my friend a special birthday dessert! Nice touch.
Went there for date night. It was fantastic. Highly recommended and the food was delicious.
This restaurant used to be the best on food and service. I don't know what happened, but the service and food was horrible. Never again!!
The food was nice, the private dining area was great. The waiter was knowledgeable and helpful with ordering which we loved (Mike). The food was really slow getting to the table took 3 hours for our entire meal, because it was very busy and our waiter had a large table of guests in his area. Too long to wait for our food, and had a teen age guy with us who was starving hungry. Good for light eaters, but we were all hungry after the meat. We spent $400 on our meal. Will definitely come back for happy hour, for price, portions and speed.
We got seated right on time and enjoyed our food. Our server was very friendly. We had a good time.
Photo of menu options depicted 2 lobster tails that were 3x the size of the actual tiny tails we received. The waiter could not understand our questions about vegetable choices. The menu said the lobster tails came with a lobster bisque, but we were asked if we wanted lobster bisque as an appetizer. Very confusing. I was very sorry I took my wife McC&S for our anniversary!
We enjoyed ourselves for a great dinner. Great fish and will definitely come again. Thank you!
We were dining New Years Eve and to be honest were disappointed in our meals. Three of us ordered steaks, 2 medium and 1 well. The mediums were well done and the well done one was very dry. The other party ordered fish. The edamame that came with it was still hard. We have dined here many times in the past with rave reviews so hoping this was just a bad night. The service was good but they were clearly over stretched.
Great food and service for our New Year’s Eve dinner.
Excellent food and service
Went with my husband & 4 friends on New Year's Eve. Our table was ready when we arrived & we were seated in one of the back rooms. There was a special menu that night. I had one of the special fish dishes which was quite good but could have used a little more sauce. One of my friends had requested a salad with salmon on top instead of one of the specials. They were able to do that for her. One item service was on the slow side.
Birthday and New Years. Had a private section and it was wonderful!!
Went for an early (6:20) New Year's Eve dinner and the food and service were simply wonderful. They did a substitution on a grilled platter for me because on an allergy with no complaints. Our server was as good and friendly as it gets.
A very nice experience to end 2018
Limited menu on New Years Eve actually provided a good selection of food and drink items. Food was all prepared properly and no mishaps on service by Liz who made it her goal for our party to have a great dining experience. Thank you Liz. All in all, this restaurant was firing on all cylinders on one of the busiest nights of the year. My only confusion was that there is no valet parking. Maybe its a Reston thing?
The matre d’ , Brian, was sensational!
Food was excellent; noisy, but it was Christmas, so it was festive!
We had a wonderful Christmas dinner!
The waitress was not very attentive or helpful. The food was amazing though!
Steak and lobster tail were cold had to send back. Reheated and brought back. At least it was hot. Definitely not worth the price i paid. Not sure how they stay in business with that quality of food at those prices.
It was the perfect pick for Christmas dinner. The food was amazing. It was very crowded due to the holiday but the service was impeccable. We're going to make this a Christmas tradition for the years to come.
We couldn’t be more disappointed. To begin with, we called in to say that as will be 15 minutes late but by the time we got there, the attendant stated that no one received the call ( we showed him the call placed on our phone)so our reservation was canceled. Anyway, we got seated 30 minutes later. The server didn’t come to the table until 15 minutes later. We understand it was Christmas Day and they were busy but how can a restaurant run out of BREAD at 7:30 pm? All the steaks we ordered came under cooked or over cooked. Our overall experience was not good and it is too much money for a less than average meal. We will not go back again.
We went for a family dinner Christmas night. We were happy to be seated inside a booth. Our server was extremely friendly. For the most part everything was fine but we were dismayed when we saw another table receiving bread, asked for it ourselves and were told, "We're out." No apology, no substitution, no promise it would come. We actually thought it was a joke but since no bread ever showed up we guess not. That struck me as a very odd response and an odd occurrence in such a fancy restaurant with high prices who should know how big a crowd to expect on a holiday night. As we had ordered no appetizers we were disappointed. Anyway, the food was good and the desserts excellent. We had gift cards from Costco and I must say that every year when we use them there the server exhibits some concern. So, there's some issue there. However, they were processed along with our AARP discount, which was accepted cheerfully. It's expensive, but it's a nice place for a special event and we are always glad they are open on Christmas.
Seating was fairly quick with a reservation. After being seated in took some time before our table was recognize by the waiter. After returning with our drinks the waitress advised they were out bread which was surprising the table next to us with there waiter still attending received bread 10 seconds prior to our waiter returning. It was definitely a disappointment. Luckily we were able to order appetizer and dinner when the waiter returned with our drinks since we didn't see him often. We however got to see the waitress from the next table quite often. I received a call from the restaurant confirming the reservation for staffing purposes and to my surprise the caller mention the request about us celebrating a birthday and the request for a birthday desert. Needless to say that never happened and my wife was disappointed. We didn't say anything because we just wanted to leave. I will probably look for another restaurant to celebrate her birthday on Christmas next year. I forgot to mention we do have preferred gusted cards.
I eat here once or twice a year. Have never before encountered a "bread shortage." We arrived at 6 PM for dinner; were told that there was no bread available, they ran out. There was no mention of "making it up to us."
I don't know what happened; didn't inquire. But for me, the bread was one of the highlights of dinner. I'm baffled as to how they could run out. I'm even more baffled that no-one seemed to regard this as a problem. No managers came to our table to apologize and perhaps offer a little something in recompense.
Next New Year's Eve, we'll probably go to one of the other restaurants nearby. I'm sure that Mon Ami Gabi would not run out of bread!!
Never coming back. Server Brandon wasn’t attentive. I waited a LONG TIME for food after I stated I was ready to order. This place isn’t kid friendly either.
The limited holiday menu was a little different this year and my daughter's favorite coconut shrimp wasn't available. The food, service, and ambiance were good but it was a little pricey.
Disappointed in the food. Ordered surf and turf and meat was not hot and lobster small and very dry. Butter was not served with it.
Stuffed salmon was barely warm. Salad was excellent, though. Server convinced us to buy a $25 Landry card insisting that it would be worth $45 when we left because of our bill. He had broken English and although repeated it twice, I obviously misunderstood.
Servers overall very nice. Ours acted kind of uppity, but just his style.
The rockfish and scallop entrees with accompaniments were both very good. The scallops were cooked to perfection. The separate salad was quite large. Unfortunately the west coast oysters were not good. They were very small and several had an off taste. The manager was quite apologetic and replaced them with two other east coast varieties. The restaurant was very busy and bustling.
We had requested a booth. We were told when we got there that one was not available. The table that we were given was a good substitute.
Our server, Jose, was exceptional. Food was excellent.
Great food and service. My husband would go there again. Clam chowder soup was very tasty and served hot. Great seafood selection, with me ordering rockfish and my husband salmon. Waiter was very attentive. We like everything about the restaurant. I suggest, though, that more seats in the waiting area should be made available to avoid a lot of people standing waiting to be seated.
We had an excellent waiter who made our experience outstanding.
Great customer service and the food was so fresh and amazing!
The food, service and atmosphere was average. Wait time between meal courses was long and the was no draft beer available that evening. The waiter did a fine job but over the whole experience was just satisfactory given the price and timeliness of the meal.
We dined with a party of 9 to celebrate my son’s 21st birthday. The food, atmosphere and service were delightful. Our server Kyle was attentive and addressed our every need!! Well done!
