Great restaurant
Our table was probably the worst table in the restaurant, too small (there was hardly enough space for my husband) and right next to the kitchen.
The waiter was probably only doing his first or second day in his job.
The food was excellent as usual but everything else was disappointing.
It was wonderful.
Great service great food. Will be back for special occasson
Good service, good food on a very busy Valentine's day. Job well done by the entire staff, would recommend to others.
Going to upscale restaurants on holidays is always a crap shoot, with limited menus and a “rushed feel” overall vibe. In spite of that, McCormick and Schmidt was AWESOME on Valentine’s Day!
From the time we arrived to leaving, the reception, Seating by manager, and table service were top notch. Our server BranDe was amazing and possibly the best server my wife and I have ever had. (50+ years old). She helped us through the menu, drinks, and by dessert we simply let her pick for us. She helped us make the most of the limited menu, and made our experience special. Fantastic experience and we will be back often.
Valentines day
Food was very good and the Service was excellent.....our waiter was very personable & friendly.
Didn’t care for being in the hallway booth... Felt like being separated!
Otherwise, first class!
Our dining experience was very good. Great service and food. Everything was cooked perfectly....that is saying something for such a busy night, Valentine’s Day.
Awesome is always
Great place for a special valentines dinner date. Total bill for two was $150 plus tip, but we did order anything our hearts desired. It was nice to treat ourselves. Waitress, Britney, was very attentive.
Great personalized experience on special occasions, fine dinning restaurant with excellent customer service. Nicely located in the heart of Reston Town Center.
This was the best dining experience we’ve had in a long time. The staff made it truly unforgettable, and for no reason other than that they strive to please their customers. Food was amazing. Service was outstanding. We asked for a few modifications and they were happy to oblige. We dine often and this is absolutely one restaurant we will remember and frequent going forward. Thank you for making our dining experience so surprisingly wonderful.
Table was far enough away from others that we could be romantic. Food was delicious. wine is always way overpriced. what we would pay $15 for at total Wine they charged us $59. Enjoyed the dinner date though.
We were St happy hour
Great menu and prices
Came at quiet time. Our first visit. Very enjoyable, great service, great food. Decor is traditional and sophisticated. Wonderful experience.
Excellent food, service. Price was right. Good show. Service staff very helpful.
Excellent birthday lunch. The waiter was wonderful and food was delicious. We love going to this McCormick & Schmick's.
Food was amazing. Service was extremely good. Great place if you have a gluten allergy or for any other food allergy really. Managers and servers are well informed on food allergies.
Service was terrible. 30 mins and we had not been visited by a server, no water or anything.
For those reading, M&S was not bad :). I only say I wouldn't recommend it to a friend because of the amount I spent for a 6/10 experience. My assessment is due to the following:
- The tables were pretty close together and the restaurant was small, which made the atmosphere louder than expected.
- Our server seemed slightly distracted about something. She did handle our order well, but didn't seem too attentive.
- I received a recommendation from our server for their "special" which included Filet Mignon and 2 lobster tails. When I received the bill, it was not charged as a "special" but instead a la carte for both tails. Perhaps I should've asked for pricing before I ordered the "special" haha. #LessonsLearned.
For the amount I spent, I personally would have went to Ruth Chris instead. With that being said, the people were nice and the look of the restaurant was nice. The food was tasty, however smaller portions that I would've assumed.
What can I say. It’s a classic east coast seafood restaurant with lovely dark wood and curtained private booths. The raw bar fare is wonderful. They also have wonderful party rooms for special events and a pretty noisy yet fun bar area that was packed. That said, the layout of the place is such that the noise from the bar area is not noticeable from the main area. Fantastic!
We arrived not knowing that restaurant week had been extended. I chose to eat off the special menu while my friend ate off the regular menu. His fish and chips were very good. (Fish and Chips are our usual go-to items on McC & Sch menu). From the restaurant week menu I chose the seafood gumbo - it has a punch of heat, very good. The truffle mac and cheese - a huge portion, very rich and very good. Our server Kyle was very personable and fun. This place has a great happy hour menu also.
Excellent experience. Always the best.
Outstanding lunch entrees, please keep on the menu!!!!!
price too high and quality poor. food waiting time too long.
Service and food were great. Plan to be back soon on a weekend when parking is free!
I only found one piece of a truffle in my crab mac n cheese. It needed some flavor and definitely more cheese. My husband really enjoyed his chocolate peanut butter pie. The service was excellent after an initial slow start.
Our server was avg... food was GREAT...for a 450 bill, we felt our server would have been more accomodating and less snooty
My friend and I had a late lunch celebrating her birthday. The food was so fresh and tasty. The service was impeccable - very attentive but not intrusive. Lovely ambiance. Freshest seafood! Recommend it for lunch or dinner. Oh, and they even brought my friend a special birthday dessert! Nice touch.
Went there for date night. It was fantastic. Highly recommended and the food was delicious.
This restaurant used to be the best on food and service. I don't know what happened, but the service and food was horrible. Never again!!
The food was nice, the private dining area was great. The waiter was knowledgeable and helpful with ordering which we loved (Mike). The food was really slow getting to the table took 3 hours for our entire meal, because it was very busy and our waiter had a large table of guests in his area. Too long to wait for our food, and had a teen age guy with us who was starving hungry. Good for light eaters, but we were all hungry after the meat. We spent $400 on our meal. Will definitely come back for happy hour, for price, portions and speed.
We got seated right on time and enjoyed our food. Our server was very friendly. We had a good time.
Photo of menu options depicted 2 lobster tails that were 3x the size of the actual tiny tails we received. The waiter could not understand our questions about vegetable choices. The menu said the lobster tails came with a lobster bisque, but we were asked if we wanted lobster bisque as an appetizer. Very confusing. I was very sorry I took my wife McC&S for our anniversary!
We enjoyed ourselves for a great dinner. Great fish and will definitely come again. Thank you!
We were dining New Years Eve and to be honest were disappointed in our meals. Three of us ordered steaks, 2 medium and 1 well. The mediums were well done and the well done one was very dry. The other party ordered fish. The edamame that came with it was still hard. We have dined here many times in the past with rave reviews so hoping this was just a bad night. The service was good but they were clearly over stretched.
Great food and service for our New Year’s Eve dinner.
Excellent food and service
