really slow service despite being sufficiently staffed; waiter never brought over water or drinks; kept asking us same questions over and over - very unusual for this place
Great food--a bit rushed. Our main showed up while me were still eating appetizer.
Food was great, enjoyed the ambiance. Waiter was beyond brusque. He would be gone for 20-30 minutes and wouldn’t come back or answer any questions and when he did come back, he would say one word and literally run off before we could say anything or ask for things.
We appreciated getting a private booth and enjoying our anniversary with a delicious dinner.
food quality could have been better, the calamari and cobia tacos were just average. drinks were okay
only good thing was the server. she was attentive
Not the clean MCormick joint I have visited! The food was not hot - Stranfe because we were the only guests at the time!
We had the most amazing time! We celebrated our son’s birthday. Food was amazing!! No long waits for food. Appetizers, entrees and dessert were well prepared and and very tasty. We usually have leftovers to take home but everything’s was eaten. It was too good. Ryan went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. We will be back!!
Good food, spotty service. Seemed like there was a disconnect between the kitchen and the wait staff. Dishes and drinks took a long time to arrive. Maybe they are short staffed due to the pandemic or something.
Manager was extremely nice and the staff was very friendly. Food was amazing as always
I don't really have much more to say. The food was great -- steaks (NY strip and filet mignon), shrimp, salads, desserts. Local draft IPA from Bike Lane was amazing. Service was great (my wife thought too slow, but rest of us thought it was leisurely, just what we wanted for a birthday outing). Really great experience. All the help was so personable and professional. Free parking nearby. We'll be back!!
Great place to go. The manager, Ryan, is outstanding. Our waitress Taylor was very kind and accommodating to our large party which included three different families with a toddler! We were a handful. However, every course took an unusually long time to come out of the kitchen (even the salads and desserts) which is the only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars for this visit.
Great seating by hostess. Wonderful service by Kyle. Excellent food, calamari, ahi tuna, flounder, and swordfish. All cooked perfectly. Manager stopped by table to check on us as well. Will definitely be back. Thanks!
Food was delicious, server was wonderful, host was great, overall a great experience.
Good to get back out for dinner with friends.
We are new to the area and it was our first time in that particular restaurant, which was not crowded. Sadly, our waitress did not write down our order and English was not her first language. My husband's dinner was not at all what he had ordered even after he had pointed it out to her on the menu when ordering (he was not asking for any substitutions or special accommodation). She then almost argued with him as to what he had ordered instead of immediately taking it back to be fixed. We wound up eating separately since it took another 20 minutes to get the correct order. We will never return to this restaurant.
Twenty years ago, McCormick and Schmick was the epitome of excellence. Now, meh. We were seated at a table the was DIRTY. I noticed it, the person who seated us did not. After I mentioned it, the host peered at the table and while we were seated there, cleaned it off with a few scrunched up paper towels. No cleaning solution. Yuck. Drinks were ordered. Took a long time to get them. Martini not very cold. Server was nice. Food pretty good. Like last time I was there, it was just..... medium. Sorry. Don't think I'll be back.
Kyle was very professional and personable. The food was delicious.
Evan was absolutely amazing as a waiter. There’s limited seating outside in front, but we were able to get a table & the weather was beautiful. Oysters Rockefeller, Apple pie w/ walnut crust & cinnamon ice cream, & rockfish (order with topping on side)were all great!
This was probably the best meal we have had at McCormick & Schmick. we initially had a issue with noise from a customer 2 tables away but the staff quickly relocated us to another table and we had a very peaceful meal.
The last few times we were there they did not have the apple cinnamon pie - but I requested it this time in advance and they had it.
Very very good meal!
The lunch at M he left us alone to chat, yet he appeared at the right time when we wanted to order. It was our first visit at M&S Reston. We enjoyed every minute and want to return for the Happy Hour!
I spent close to $300 for a party of four. The quality of the food was substandard. The appetizer tasted like it had been sitting out for hours, the fish was dry. I wasn't very pleased.
Couldn't be better. Perfect setting for an anniversary dinner. Both Ryan (Manager) and Olga (server) wished us happy Anniversary, and provided us a secluded booth set for 6.
Delicious seafood, from the Oyster's Rockefeller to the two types of fish. The pairing of vegetables and sauces for each dish was ideal.
Haven't been to M&S for 10 years, but cannot wait to go back.
Fried potatoes were cold needing salt that was not on the table. I had to find the food server and ask for salt. Took him 10 minutes to bring it.
Bring back Maryland crab soup, tomato base soup!
Wrong steak, server forgot bread and appetizer, and second round of drinks. Never checked on us. No manager in sight after meal.
Totally under staff for both kitchen and dinning room. You may have better experience if order take out!
Some light was out on dining spot but mangers were too busy to review or repair it before open restaurant during the weekend.
Staff friendly , knowledgeable and aimed to please. Ambiance was warm, inviting and relaxing. The food was very well prepared and the sour dough bread was warm, fresh and crusty.I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends, family and strangers alike.
The only problem is that they were understaffed due to the COVID and employees not returning to work. Thus the timing was long before our meal came.
This is the first time at the Reston location. The waiter was very attentive to our needs and the ambiance was great. Would definitely dine her again.
While there the power went out on the block and they were still able to provide our food while keeping us entertained with great sevice and constant updates on the electricity.
I expected it to be more or less like Capital Grille. Instead it was more like TGIFriday's with somewhat better food. The wait staff was far too casual and the ambience was not what I was looking for for an anniversary dinner. Lesson learned.
A delicious meal with outstanding service. Everything was served to perfection!
Food was excellent ... one had fried shrimp and the other had the salmon pasta pesto. Topped off with the Apple Pie/Walnut/cinnamon Ice cream dessert which we split and was still a lot!
Service from the bar and kitchen were both very slow. Writer stated you had two large parties and not enough kitchen help
The steaks and fish dishes used to be much tastier in the past. We were a party of 5 celebrating a Birthday on Saturday evening. Our plates came out with the steaks under cooked (raw when medium was ordered) and not too flavorful but very heavily peppered. The side dishes were rather tepid. Appetizers (bacon wrapped shrimp and calamari) were also just... OK. Our waitress took over 20 min to visit the table on two occasions and forgot some things when she returned. The only saving grace of the whole evening was the Apple pie. It was delicious. It will be a long time before I return, if ever.
Great food and great service. The swordfish stuffed with crab meat was delicious.
Fantastic service. Kyle is attentive, professional, and overall, a great guy! The well-prepared food arrived quickly and hot. We enjoyed a delicious meal and we'll be back.
Very good food and service just a bit pricey. Did I mention just a bit pricey?
Everything about the night was perfect. We went out for a birthday celebration and were not disappointed. Food was amazing. Service was good. Oklahoma Joe, assistant manager, checked-in with us several times to insure all was good. He made the evening perfect by just caring enough to stop by our table.
The food was excellent. However, our waitress was horrible. Took her an hour to get drinks and our order in. Additionally, she recognized one our
