McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Raleigh - Crabtree Mall Ratings and Reviews
M & S had a special to celebrate Veteran's day.
My wife & I eat there a couple of times a year, so I knew the food would be good.
I had the beef tenderloin medallions and they were delicious and done perfectly.
Only negative is there was not enough, as I was really hungry!!
Can't go wrong eating a meal here or referring someone.
Service was fantastic (Sydney, I believe). However, there was a placemat, crayon, and food under the table when we sat down. Beef tips that were ordered as medium well came out still red, even after sending them back for further cooking, but the crab cakes and salmon were tasty. Prices are out of my range for frequent visits, but I appreciate the Veterans' offerings. Recommend some kind of privacy curtains or something similar for the table right behind the hostess stand/next to the wait station; lack thereof made the visit feel hectic, and the glare from the outside every time the door was opened was blinding.
My shrimp appetizer & Swordfish dish was over cooked. I could taste the flavor buy it was a little dry and chewy. My daughter and son-in-law's cheeseburgers came to the table with no cheese and only enough french fries for a 4 year old to eat.
The wait staff and bartenders where awesome!
I enjoyed most of my meal. The Staff wait staff and front staff were very friendly and accommodating For this Veteran day (Free Meal). They did take more than 10 minutes before I received my bread and water but I had my meal also I made reservations for 12:15 it took almost 10 minutes longer. Overall I still enjoyed the experience even if I had payed full price it was awesome. I’ll be back again before next Veteran Day meal
We hadn’t been to McCormick and Schmick’s in about 4 years so figured we’d return. The food is delicious and the cocktails are different and very tasty. Our waiter was very friendly, informative, and on top of things which is always wonderful. We were lucky enough to have a booth, I wouldn’t want to sit at one of the table because they’re too out in the open and it can be noisy. The only fault we had with the dining is that when the waiter or waitress brings your check they go into a whole sales pitch trying to get you to sign up to be a “member” so you can earn points for free meals. This is such a huge turn off and we couldn’t believe this type of restaurant does this! It must be something new because it didn’t happen last time we dined there and it really leaves a bad taste in your mouth after such an enjoyable, delicious experience. The management should think twice about this because I’m sure they’re losing customers over this routine. Such a disappointment.
The food and service was great. The bacon wrapped shrimp and crab dib were some of the best appetizers we’ve had. The main course was a seafood selection for both my wife and I and the fish was cooked perfectly. The creme brûlée for dessert was also good. Our waitor Treymont was very polite and came around just enough. Overall a very nice dinner.
We had a wonderful time at McCormick's the other night. I love the new look they have now in the restaurant and the new menu.
Keith was our server and he was very helpful in guiding us in our wine and our meal selection.
We both had the Steak and Lobster and they were cooked perfectly.
It was a memorable meal!
Server was very attentive and provided great suggestions based on what we had a taste for. Food was amazing as well. She had the Salmon Rigatoni and I had the Blackened Chicken Fettucine. so good, I got one to-go for lunch the next day. Highly recommend it.
I haven’t been to M&S for over a year and a half due to it’s incredibly poor service and performance at my last few visits. The experience we had tonight was par for the course. We were tucked away in a nice corner space with 5 people, however, there were 6 chairs which made the space feel unnecessarily cramped. We set the chair outside our nook, but it wasn’t removed until 30 minutes or so after we sat down. The server was uncomfortably personal in telling his life experiences every trip to the table. I don’t think he realized when insults poured out of his mouth, but my client did so I knew I wasn’t being overly critical. The food took absolutely forever. The server asked me if I’d like another drink, I said yes... he then came back by 15 minutes later and asked if I would like another. I said I was waiting for my last refill to which he looked at me confused and didn’t remember asking. He did make a point of telling us twice that he had opened the restaurant at 10am and that he was busy working and doing dishes during slow hours while the millennials were encompassed with their phones like all millennials. Well, this millennial just paid over $300 taking his client to dinner, so thank you for that remark. To top it off, out of the entire eerily empty restaurant, we were fortunate enough to have an extremely large party hosting a surprise party right next to us... forcing us to shout across the table to hear one another. To say we couldn’t leave this establishment sooner is an understatement... at least I stayed off my phone long enough to remember to pay the bill.
