Not the best McCormick & Schmick’s I’ve ever been to. Food was on the low side of average, along with the service.
The food was good and the service was amazing. Nothing bad except for there were still 3 black rubber bands wrapped around my asparagus when it was served. How was this not caught in the preparation and cooking process? The asparagus was the only thing I didn’t eat. Everything else was superb.
We dine out frequently. The meals we ordered were the best dine-out meals we've had in a long, long time.
What can I say but once again fabulous! The attentiveness of the staff and professionalism along with the food and ambiance lent to the evening being incredible. My guests had never been to M&S and were very impressed and amazed.
Thank you keep up the great work..
Good food. After concert meal - French onion soup very good. Shrimp kisses were good as well. The chopped salads were delicious. Clean. Two ate for 45 no alcohol.
The service by Rex and food was equally wonderful. We enjoyed everything we ate and drank. My daughter graduated from the Vet Tech Institute, I was only in overnight and it was a perfect meal to a special occasion.
The evening was incredible. From the Lobster Bisque to the twin lobster tails. The service was outstanding, professional and just attentive enough but not bothersome. Excellent setting and ambiance. Our waiter Shawn was very accommodating friendly and a delight to talk with which also helped the evening. All in all a 10 out of 10 in my books.
The family went to Mccormicks and Schmick's in the Southside for Easter dinner. Honestly, I think our waiter could've cared less that we were there. Seeing as I spent nearly $400 there for five adults and one child, you would have thought that we deserved better. The restaurant Very disappointed. was not crowded. We waited for our table, even with a reservation. We also waited for the server to come to us. And we waited for dessert an abnormally long time.we have been going to this restaurant for years for Easter and will not visit again. Very disappointed.
The food took over an hour to be served and the restaurant wasn’t even busy. Crab legs were not warm.
We went there for our anniversary and somewhat disappointed about our dining experience there. The appetizer and soup was good. Our dinner took a bit because the kitchen made the wrong food for us. The manager kindly explained and offered us a complementary dessert to take with us. My filet was undercooked and had to be sent back upon arrival, it was a little better after they brought it back, but it was still undercooked on the other side. We did not want to send it back again as we had waited so long already. We opted to take the dessert to go but noticed they only took a few dollars off and charged us a $7.50 to go charge. The manager and server were not in sync. It eventually got fixed but we felt like we had to keep asking for stuff we had already asked for or ordered.
We told our server about our visit and experience and she offered me a glass of complementary wine. It was nice but since I was prego, I declined the wine and bummed that I couldnt get that butterflied well done steak I ordered.
Never fail to have an amazing experience here. Food is great, service is great
Great food, atmosphere, and service. Wait staff attentive and friendly. Pricey, but really good food. Will go again.
We had a superb meal. Great table, great food, great waitstaff. We will be back!
My husband's lobster tails were ice cold as soon as they came to the table. And his roasted potatoes were gummy. We won't be returning back to this restaurant.
First time very nice service was great food was great will definitely recommend to family and friends
Everything was perfect - food, service, ambience. All good!!!!
Slow service. I made a reservation for 730 and didn’t get taken until 8.
Although I know it was Saturday night, there were lots of little things that bothered us. We had a 7:00 reservation and finally got seated at 7:25. After we had waited 15 minutes, we decided to head to the bar. But the bartender never even looked our way and we were seated before we could order a drink.
We had no bread plates and although we asked (twice!) for lemon for our water, we never got any. We waited a long time before our waiter (Christopher) got to our table, when we were finally able to order a drink. During the evening, my water glass was empty several times and it took a while before our waiter made it over to ask for a refill.
Overall, the food was fantastic - we are never disappointed about that when we dine at McCormick and Schmick’s. But I wonder why the restaurant doesn’t have one or two busboys who can bring bread AND bread plates, fill water glasses, bring slices of lemon if requested, clear plates, etc. Our bill was over $100 - for that price, I don’t think it’s too much to ask for better service. That being said, the guy who greeted us when we got there was EXTREMELY welcoming , had a smile on his face at all times and did thank us for our patience when we finally got seated.
We will think twice about dining at McCormick and Schmick’s again on a Saturday evening, although I hope if we do, our experience will be better!
My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary. Both the food and service were excellent. Highly recommend!
Apparently no longer accepting the Landry card: the reason I bought the card is so that I could dine at this restaurant.
Was NOT informed of this until AFTER the meal.
Waiter was outstanding
Food excellent. Confused that listed as member of rewards program, had card out and waitress recognized it, but was only told restaurant non participating when went to pay bill. Would have gone to Grand Concourse instead. Felt mislead
Me and a friend went to the Southside location for Restaurant Week. Very disappointed. One of the selections was braised short ribs. Ribs being plural but I only got one. The Beef Carpaccio appetizer was like 3 bites. The dessert was so small we could have eaten three of them. 2 minutes after they brought our appetizer they brought our entree. We will not return to McCormick and Schmick. This is an upscale restaurant with no food on the plate. And what food we did get wasn't that great
Our waitress was pleasant enough, but wasn't very knowledgable about items on the menu that we had questions about. There weren't a lot of people there for lunch when we were there, but the service was pretty slow. We were there about 1 1/2 hours just for lunch. The food was really good (a little pricey), but good! The dessert we shared was outstanding (chocolate bag).
Attentive staff, meals well prepared and presented. Very nice casual atmosphere.
Went for happy hour. Bartender was friendly. The food was good and quick. I wish they would add something like a fried cod sandwich. I enjoyed the fish tacos but I want another fish option. Will return.
Very good food and a nice Happy Hour. They accommodated my seating request made with OpenTable reservation.
I am not able to rate the menu, prices, or food. We were seated at a table with a glass of water half filled and lip marks on it and a used fork. We waited 10 minutes for a waiter to question the situation but nobody arrived so we left. It was very dark and uncomfortable in there anyways. We went to Cheesecake Factory instead because it was close and I was very impresed.
I have been to McCormick & Schmick's for lunch and happy hour before but this was the first for dinner. So I know it's a bit on the pricey side, especially for a chain restaurant. My food was good - but really not worth the price. I ordered scallops with pork belly. For $32, I had 3 scallops. Three. And not large scallops. And the pork belly was miniscule. There were supposed to be oyster mushrooms too. I think if you put all the tiny pieces together I may have had half a mushroom total in the entire dish. My salad was average. Conversely, my husband just had fish and chips, and he said they were great. But it was also $20 for fish and French fries.... Although the food wasn't bad, it wasn't worth the price. And service was slow.
Only thing that kept me from giving a higher rating was service. Our waiter was very slow with bringing everything to our table.
We went New Year’s Eve with a party of six. We were seated in the back dining room which we loved. The food and service were perfect!
Ran out of Daquari Mix early. Food was cooked just right!!.
Outstanding service and great food beautifully prepared. One of our favorite Pgh spots.
Food was outstanding and so was the service. Would recommend the NY strip was excellent Wife had the salmon stuffed with shrimp and crabmeat also excellent
They were open on Christmas day and the service and food was awesome, can't wait to return!
Very good food and so happy something was open on Christmas. I had filet and lobster and it was fantastic.
There seemed to be a very inexperienced staff. They just couldn’t get their act together. Paying the check was just laborious.
Pleased with the meal, but disappointed that it is no longer part of the Landry’s restaurants. I wasn’t able to use my Landry’s card. Big bummer.
Everything was good but the hostess and server (Melinda). We arrived promptly at 2 P.M. our reservation time on Christmas Day. The hostess hurried us to our seats. She did not wait for us to take off our coats before just laying down the menu rather than HANDING the menu to us. The server laid down our check BEFORE asking us if we wanted dessert or coffee saying "no rush". Well it sure felt like we were being rushed. She did not ask how our meals were. My mom, who is elderly had cold potatoes. She never asked if we wanted any more to drink or refills on drinks. Melinda then cleans off the table, pacing back and forth all the while we were sitting there enjoying the atmosphere. All said and done from the time we arrived to the time we left was LESS THAN ONE HOUR! NO RUSH Melinda...Really? Couldn't wait to see how much your tip was? Then on to the next reservation! For the upscale reputation, fine dining experience, the hostess and server were poorly trained and certainly not appropriate for this type of dining experience.
Truly wonderful service and tasty menu. I highly recommend for holidays, we were there on Christmas Day and the service was wonderful.
We went on Christmas Eve and glad that we got there at 6, before it got crowded. We had a great meal and wonderful server, Courtney. The seafood and desserts were delicious!
