Excellent food and service!
Great meal and overall experience! Sadly due to Covid as we visited on a weeknight we were the only ones eating at the restaurant and only one other diner came in towards the end of our meal.
It was too bad as the food was great as was the service. Our waitress was a gem as she was very attentive and very personable. I do not recall her name but she was a young lady attending Pitt and soon to graduate and continue her studies at Duquesne.
I would highly recommend for the food and service and it is a beautiful place hopefully soon to bustle with more patrons.
That whole SouthSide area seemed pretty desolate!
Great service! Went for Thanksgiving dinner but we ordered regular food not the turkey dinner.
The food was absolutely delicious and the service wonderful. We all enjoyed our meal, wine and dessert.
The service was very good.
My group enjoyed our family dinner. The food was good, service excellent, and ambience good considering the Covid restrictions. Would highly recommend for a nice lunch or dinner.
Great meal and experience here. My ribeye was perfect.
Thre restaraunt was clean and did everything to comply with Covid regulations. I felt very safe and well taken care of.. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent.
Food wasn’t really what I hoped for. My wife and I rated the whole experience about a 6 out of 10
Very Excellent Service Very Excellent Food Necessary Precautions In Place An Overall Excellent Experience
Great service. Mahi was too salty. Steak was perfect ran Cale good
A dinner with friends.
Food was delicious as usual. Can’t go wrong eating here.
It was Sweetest day so my husband and I did a date night to celebrate the occasion. We had a good time and will be back again.
The food was delicious. It didn’t take long at all to get our food. Everyone was friendly. It was a little pricey but it was worth it.
ESQUISITE is all I can say. We celebrated our wedding anniversary and were given the royal treatment, which we noticed was standard for all the guests. Anyone who dines here will definitely leave with lasting beautiful memories.
Our appetizer of blue crab dip was delicious. My fillet was sizzling hot and cooked correctly. It was delicious! My husband’s entrée, the ultimate seafood Grill mix, was POOR. The shrimp were very tough, the crabcake had no crab in it and was not tasty. The salmon was extremely salty. We ordered lobster mashed potatoes that came cold and lumpy. It was like lobster bisque soup was poured over the mashed potatoes. Our server was excellent however! The food was way overpriced for the value. My 8 ounce filet, at $46, was seven dollars more at this location than several other McCormick and Schmick locations. Also, my fillet at $46 came with no sides. To serve just a fillet for $46 is highway robbery. We will definitely not be returning.
The server my table had was sadly not up to par. He rarely checked on our table to see if we needed anything. We waited about a hour for our food to arrive to our table, and when wet were able to track him down to ask him how much longer it may have been for our food to arrive he responded “I don’t know, I’m not the chef”. All food items were not present, and when asking our waiter about it he questioned if we ordered the items. When asked to speak to a manager she did help, and offered a free dessert, but they did not have the dessert available. I didn’t pick another dessert, simply because no other one appealed to me.
my girlfriend and i went for our anniversary and it was great. the ribeye for two was amazing and our server sierra was awesome! they even gave us complimentary dessert for the occasion
Tomahawk steak was cooked perfectly. Calamari fritto misto was excellent. I really great experience that’s why we keep coming back🙂
Food was poor. $40 New York Strip was advertised as a "Prime" cut but either it was mislabeled or the don't know how to cook a steak medium rare. This is the kind of steak you get at Golden Corral. Sorry, that's unfair since I've never been to Golden Corral. The mahi-mahi was supper dry and crab cakes where basic. We did receive free dessert because it was my wife's birthday. Total bill.... $206 (4 people, 2 glasses of wine). Don't mind paying for good food. This wasn't it. Won't go back.
They used to be affiliated with Landry restaurants and went for my husband's birthday the the $25 Landry sent. The Southside McCormick's does not participate with Landry even though they use the same name. Was disappointed.
The food plate came out hot and spitting grease, the drinks from the bar took 25 minutes to come out and the food was Way over priced for The quality of it.
Wedding anniversary had a great time
We had amazing time food and service were top notch
Made my reservation on line. Got there and it was closed. Nothing on the web site. Wasted my time getting there.
Empty dinning room they sat me in lounge even when i made reservation to be seated in dining room. Ordered steak(37) bucks. The steak arrived it was horrible and chewy two bits called manager over she agreed very nice she said depending on cuts of meat to determine quality. Just saying if your charging 37 for one steak chef should know whether to cook it and send out to patrons. Got a gift certificate to return maybe for appetizers i will just sit at bar.
Tables were spaced 6 ft apart, so we felt safe. Our server, Abby, was delightful, and our entire meal was delicious. We had appetizer, salad, salmon meals, drinks, and dessert. **It was my actual birthday. We were thrilled to be in a restaurant, and actually had some difficulty finding a nice spot that was open on a Monday afternoon, as establishments are just starting to open in our area.
As stated above, we felt safe and it was a wonderful experience.
Very good experience for first visit. We did not not know if the restrictions would make eating out too much of a hassle but the meal and service was enjoyable.
Wonderful evening out. Very attentive waiters. Crab cakes were very delicious and the filet melted in your mouth.
Birthday for kids
We had fish for appetizers and hamburgers since it was a happy hour special. Everything was great.
Birthday dinner. Didn’t have our reservations because iPad wasn’t working. So they didn’t know it was my wife’s birthday. Also, didn’t even know how many where In the party. Disappointed as I spent over $300
I am not going back again. food was greasy and tastes doesn't good.
Loved it. Great food Manager was amazing .!!
Really crowded. Wait staff was overworked, slow and largely inattentive...probably not their fault, just too many tables to wait. Food was good but not WOW...and dinner was $50 per person. Maybe it was just the night but I expected more.
A+ all around. We enjoyed a great evening in a warm and casual setting. McCormick and Schmick’s is our go-to restaurant when we want to enjoy a delicious meal and to be treated as though we are special diners. A home run every time. Thanks again, Chris. We really appreciate your kindness and sincerity.
The waitress seemed like she did not know what she was doing. All the appetizers came out but one. It took forever for the last one to come out and when it finally did my father didn’t even get to eat it all because the waitress came and took it away when delivering his meal. My fathers meal was unbeatable. The waitress was no where to be found the entire meal. She only showed up to deliver the check. For as much as this meal was you would except great service.
We were extremely disappointed with our first experience. We traveled more than an hour from Ohio and were not impressed with our service overall. The waitress was not very accommodating or polite. Our service was average. We were informed there was a very limited choice of items from the menu, as they had sold out of most of the items from the menu. The food was also average for the price. We would not recommend this restaurant to friends, family, etc due to our experience.
Wish we would have skipped this one and went downtown. Poor service, no refills, and the waiter could not be more disinterested. College student who would rather be at the pens game but someone made him come to work on a Sunday instead. The place was probably only 20% full but it didn’t matter. Hostess was a mess - couldn’t get the table setting for eight right - seriously had a hard time counting and at first only had six, then seven and it wasn’t even my table. She was wearing a large puffer jacket and when she had to fix tables She got hot and wore it half on half off - super sloppy. Didn’t see much of the waiter until it came time for the check. French fries - no ketchup. Iced tea, no sugar. No refills at all. Food temp just warm - assuming it was waiting to find someone to bring it out to us because PJ was like a ghost. Just simple things overlooked. I recommend going to the downtown location where the service (and the food overall) is a million times better.
