Great food and service. Enjoyed the dinner. Easy to find and parking was close.
Quite frankly, I was very upset at the loudness of the restaurant because of the bar, the service was very subpar, and evidently they must’ve messed up the order of my date as her food came out perfect but mine came out cold. There was no management on the floor until there was a problem at the end. Other customers evidently had the same experience as I heard manager being told of same conditions from another table. I couldn’t wait to go to this restaurant but I cannot say that I would go back.
It was a nice dinner before the symphony.
Steak was over cooked and not a great cut of meat for a filet. Blue cheese topping tasted good, yet was as though it had sit under heat lamp too long. Drinks were slow to be served.
Typical chain fare and service. Very average. Nothing more.
We enjoyed the meal. I would have liked more vegetables. Size of salmon was fine, vegetables not enough. I only had ONE asparagus ! Very few beets .
Service was very good. Overall the food was quite good. We ha an appetizer of calamari which was delicious. My husband had the lobster tails and said they were excellent. I ordered the lump crab stuffed shrimp, what a disappointment. I received six shrimp which had much more stuffing than crab (two didn't have any crab at all). I would advise anyone going to McCromick & Schmick's Seafood not to get the lump crab stuffed shrimp.. On the other hand the potatoes and vegetables were very good.
The food and service has always been very good. This is one of our favorite restaurants downtown.
Overall it was good. Not at the level of Morton's or Ruth Chris which is what I expected.
Red wine's (pinot noir) by the glass were limited. Service was a little slow for some unknown reason and our waiter apologized a couple of times. The apple pie for dessert tasted great overall but about half of the crust's edges were burnt.
I took my 8 year old granddaughter to dinner Asia special date. She loved the food and the attention.
We had an awesome table for 7 - in a front corner, with a window. Tucked away somewhat. Perfect. Our server was very nice, but seemed a little "green?" Nice dinner with friends before the theater.
I visited this restaurant over the past 2 weeks. My first experience was good and the food was cooked properly with an attentive waiter. Last week, I had dinner with my niece and was treated poorly & sent the food back twice. No apologies and my steak was overdone & the was presented with a new raw steak( medium..so hard to get?). We had a play to attend so time was limited. Staff was rude and offered no relief for bad service. There are so many great seafood & steakhouses in the burgh, you can afford to skip this
Waiter obviously showed a bit impatience with not ordering the first time asked.
Crab Cake sandwich was soggy and very expensive.
The seasoning on the french fries made them inedible (should warn patrons that these are not traditional fries)
All in all very disappointing for the amount of money spent.
We almost always enjoy our meal and service at McCormick and Schmick's. This visit was particularly good service. The food is consistently good.
Drinks and food were
Food was very good. Chef was accommodating to make a chicken dish that I saw listed on line menu but didn't see it on the menu in the restaurant. Told server what I wanted but couldn't find on menu and he made a suggestion and it worked out perfectly. Only thing we didn't like was the lighting was dark and very difficult to read the menu. We were there for dinner after the ballet.
Dinner was very good. Service was prompt and always available but not hovering. The ambiance was lively and enjoyable. I would recommend this restaurant.
Our dinners were perfect! The seafood was excellent. Great service. We will definitely go for dinner here again for a special occasion in the future. Delicious and creative desert that we shared!
We always enjoy McCormick and & Schmick's. Friday night the food and drinks were even better than usual. Our seating was ok, we had a table in the middle of the room, but the booths in the back are the best, especially for special occasions. We were celebrating our anniversary so a quiet booth would have been nice.
We had a great time. The wine was wonderful, the food was fabulous, the service was special, and the overall experience was excellent. We will return!
The room we were in was freezing. The food was barely seasoned. This is a completely different from the many times we’ve dined here. Kind of disappointed.
She didn't bring any bread we had asked for that everything was a delay and it was not busy
Very nice atmosphere Scott our server was very pleasant and answered every question we had.
We went here for Valentine's Day. We were seated right on time, so it being packed, we were surprised! It took around 10 minutes for the waiter to come over. He apologized and brought us back water. He took our drink orders, as we ordered sparkling; however, he seemed confused when we asked for flute glasses instead of the red wine glasses that he brought over. The sparkling rose was warm when he brought it over. The manager came to the table and took over. The waiter stated that he wasn't new, but he seemed rather clueless as to what he should be doing. My other problem that I had was that we were still in the middle of our salads when they brought over our entrees. The manager seemed more attentive than the server was. Food was good, not great, but good!
Great experience! We were immediately seated. We waited an expectable amount of time, not a problem and especially on Valentine’s Day. Everyone was friendly.
The best part is we were given a dessert for waiting and being patient. This was over the top service.
Good food, but feels like a chain (it is). And the music doesn’t fit the atmosphere. Weird jumble of 80’s rock plus hi hop.
I requested a booth when i made the reservation. We were sat at a table right by the server station and the staff kept congregating right behind me in groups. Our waiter was very inexperienced and forgot to bring me coffee two different times so I had to keep asking. He spilled wine on the table when serving from the bottle. When he brought the entrees he stood at the table and announced the items on each plate because he couldn’t remember when the two of us at the table ordered. Once we paid he never returned to check on the coffee or water.
Dinner for two was $160 with the bottle of wine. I’m disappointed having spent that for such an undesirable experience.
Bad experience. Poor service.
The wait staff did not seem to be invested. Slow service - 10 minutes before greeted and water took even longer. Initial drink order was wrong, waiter recognized immediately but took an exceptional amount of time to return.
Valentines Day dinner before the concert. Lovely dinner, with a lovely waitress. We totally enjoyed the experience.
We made reservations and our table was immediately available. The service and food was top notch!
I was very disappointed that after I ordered Almond crusted trout with butternut squash orzo, I was served 2 small wedges of plain white fish on top of mashed potatoes with green beans which was identical to my husband's gluten-free signature flounder. The waitress offered to take back the meal, but I wasn't interested in waiting for the correct meal while my husband ate his. We were offered a dessert, which I hadn't planned to get. But I did get the chocolate bag because it was gluten free to share it with my husband. That didn't change my disappointment with mashed potatoes instead of butternut squash orzo.
It was Valentines Day and my Anniversary we had dinner with another couple. Our server was awesome the food was very good. My vegetables were both undercooked after sending them back. I had yo send a second one back twice. This wS a small matter everything ordered wad delicious . The desserts were well worth the calories. We had a wonderful evening.
A very enjoyable evening enhanced by all of the staff and great food!
They overbooked for our 6:45 reservation, we waited about 25 minutes. But the staff was gracious about it. Our server, Jennifer, was very accommodating in every way. She asked if we had a theater date in case we had to hurry. Comfortable ambience, no rush, nice crowd. Food was respectable.
very slow service and the food was overcooked. the waitstaff was very apoligetic but i would never go back there again.
mortons is the same price and far better food/steaks and muck better service.
Bobby was our server and he did a great job picking out a wine for our table. We enjoyed our food and were able to still meet our timing for our play. I highly recommend this restaurant!
We had a very disappointing experience. When we arrived, we were asked to dine in the bar area instead of the main room (despite having a reservation) as we were told there were not going to be any tables available for quite awhile. We did clearly communicate that we were heading to a show after our meal and were under a time constraint but once sat, it took 20 - 25 minutes before a server came by our table and then another 60 minutes before our meals actually arrived. The food we received was underwhelming in quality and not at all what we were expecting given the reputation of McCormick's & Schmick restaurants. Slow service, sub-par food quality and poor value overall. I do not recommend this restaurant and we will not be returning in the future.
This was my first time at the downtown restaurant and will probably be my last. Service was very poor. The waiter did not even tell us his name, let alone check on us more than once during the meal. We had to ask to have our waters filled and ask for more drinks. We had to wait over 45 minutes to have our food brought to us, as we watched every table who were seated after us get their food. When the waiter realized we hadn't gotten our food, he said "they're re-making it now, it should be out in 5 minutes" as someone forgot the food! Once the food did arrive it was very subpar and not worth the money. Maybe it's because it's a chain restaurant. The manager (who was walking around all evening) asked how our night has been and when we expressed our concerns, he said "ok thanks for the input" and walked away. When you are spending $25+ on a meal, you expect it to be a great experience. Overall poor experience.
Nice downtown restaurant that has a nice ambiance, excellent food and great service. Had the filet and stuffed salmon which were absolutely divine. Somewhat expensive especially the drinks which is typically the case downtown. Much better value than the other high-end downtown restaurants that we patron.
