Food was a bit Luke warm and didn’t come out hot
Greetings All, This was a awesome place to go! The food, wine, room and service was top notch! It was a night I didn't want it to end! A big Thank you to all! William
The service was poor and if you fancy your entrees cold to somewhat warm, then please visit this restaurant
No Manager came and check on food
My husband and I have been about three times. Food was delicious and the drinks were great. I like their sangrias. Nice atmosphere and great for any occasion.
My fiance's parents and grandparents were in town and expressed interest in seafood so I took them to M&S. It was close by, and I have had good experiences at the one in Pittsburgh, PA. Maybe it was just the particular day we were there, as there was a relatively large party seated nearby, but the food was just not good, burnt steaks, over- or under-seasoned fish that had been hastily slapped on a plate. Server seemed distracted, service was slow and infrequent, and no one even got a refill on their drink until we asked for the bill. For the price tag and the location, this was overall a very disappointing visit. Probably won't come back.
The food was good, not great, but the service was the worst part. Our waiter (Thomas) had absolutely no personality, was of no help when we were ordering and asking questions, and took 20 minutes just to get me a new glass of water when the glass on the table when we sat down was dirty. When going to a restaurant like this I typically expect my service to at least be good where I wouldn’t really comment on if it was good or bad, but it truly was not good at all. It was also upsetting to see that for what is supposed to be a nice restaurant, there was no dress code enforced and people were dressed as if they could be sitting in a sports bar. Overall not pleased with this experience.
I visited this restaurant on June 15, 2018 after coming from my daughter’s graduation ceremony at Citizens Park. It was late. I arrived at 10:33pm for a 1030 reservation that I made a few days prior, while still in NYC. I was seated no more than 5 minutes after I arrived. The waitress came to the table about 5 minutes later and it ALL WENT DOWNHILL FROM THERE. We placed our drink orders, which were light, due to the late hour. One of my guests ordered a clam chowder. The waitress came back approx 15 minutes with our drinks NO SOUP. She then took our dinner orders. She came back to our table about 10 minutes after taking our order to inform us there were no more lobster tails. My celebrating grad had to order something else. NO SOUP. She came back to the table about 5 minutes after taking the grad’s revised order to tell us there were no more mashed potatoes. After discussion, we changed our orders NO SOUP. About 50 minutes after ordering the soup and because my guest inquired about the soup, the waitress finally brought the soup to the table. About an hour after placing our revised dinner orders, we received our meals. The meals were lukewarm, seafood was tough and over cooked, the fried shrimp was bland, the spinach tasted awful and the salmon was dry. I will never visit this restaurant again and I urge you all to not waste your time or your money. It was aa horrible experience. I chose this restaurant after speaking to folks and reading reviews in hopes that it would be a great dining experience. IT WAS NOT. A great restaurant is one where you can enjoy a great meal at any time of day, as the first customer or the very last customer. THIS MEAL AND SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE. If I could have left ZERO STARS, that would be a star too many. 😡
The service sucked like the straw I never received. Although the food was good it took long to come out despite the lack of people in the restaurant. I would get better treatment at Friday’s.
Very nice! Across the street from city hall in center city Philadelphia. We enjoyed a nice family dinner to celebrate the last night of our vacation in Philadelphia.
Loved the food.!!!!!!
Wonderful place for seafood lovers. Was not happy about my steak since it was not only overcooked but burnt on the outside, but since we had another engagement I couldn't give an experience for correction.
As usual, our experience at this restaurant was very good. Alexander, our waiter, was particularly helpful. We were not rushed. I do have a minor complaint: I ordered my steak medium well. When it was served it was burnt on the outside and medium on the inside. The burnt I don't mind so much; but, medium is too much blood for me. I didn't complain, I was too hungry, so, I ate it. It didn't kill me.
Very disappointing visit to this Center City staple. The lettuce in my salad was frozen, and the shrimp were dry and overcooked. This was a client meeting, so it was especially disturbing. No effort was made to either comp my meal or offer a complimentary dessert. Poor experience.
Graduation for my sister. Service was great and the waiter was very nice.
A good place to be, thought a bit noisy.
The cuisine is fine, the place is clean, the prices are at an acceptable level - especially when considering the ideal location.
steak was very good. however we went to Del Frisco's for dessert and I have to admit the steaks I saw coming through looked a little better and bigger. but overall good food. both restaurants are pricing so can't really compare that they are equal in that sense.
Lovely restsurant. Great setting with good service. Only issue I ordered my steak med. Rare it came more med well. But it was tender and tasty.
Our experience was only just fair. We remember this place being much better. Revolving door at the entrance was smeared and dirty. In the lounge, crumbs and debris on the bar and unbussed hi-tops gave a seedy appearance. In dining room, service was very friendly and welcoming, but became sporadic as the meal went on. Our "specialty" cocktails (Kentucky Smashes) were weak. There was no obvious attempt at maintaining a dress code -- shorts, flip-flops and baseball caps were very much in evidence. My "Hawaiian" swordfish (a special) was thin and dry, with only a minuscule amount of "lump" (shredded) crabmeat on top. My companion's arugula side salad was wilted and had clearly been prepared long in advance. Coffee was good and dessert (caramel ice cream) was adequate but did not make up for a disappointing dining experience. McCormick and Schmick's used to be a moderately upscale place that seems to have fallen victim to the tourist and office-party trade in its location near City Hall, while maintaining pretensions of being something special.
Our waiter was very thorough knew his job and the meal gave great advice on what to order. The food was delicious very fufilling
Good food and nice ambience
Predictably good food with exemplary service. Always an easy choice for steak and seafood.
I have eaten at Mccormick several times...but these was the best yet.
great restaurant. Great location, Great service. I had the octopus for appetizer and it was very tough, would not recommend. Otherwise the meal was great. This is a beautiful restaurant in a great location.
Excellent food on 5/6 entrees, the exception was overcooked swordfish. Chicken is amazing for those who don’t like seafood. Service was good, messed up a few small things but they were fast at fixing them. Highly recommend the apple pie with the cinnamon ice cream.
Have fined at this restaurant many times previously, though have not been for a while. Have to say we were disappointed in the quality of the food. The dishes we had were shrimp cocktail, filet mignon & lobster tails. For being a seafood restaurant the food was all were just average.
The wine was very good. The service was good, but the waiter was a bit young. The food was very good.
We enjoyed our anniversary dinner! Food was amazing!
The hostess was delightful and seated us quickly. The waitress was polite but gave me and my father the wrong steak orders. Not a big deal, we just switched. We were left with empty glasses for most of our meal and when she finally returned she only brought one beverage. The lobster tail was ok, not great and the strawberry shortcake was not good at all.
beautiful atmosphere, wonderful food , great service
I had a coupon for free dessert or appetizer the waiter didn’t tell me that I could only use the coupon for an appetizer until we had already ordered dessert 🤔
The service was fabulous as well as the meal. I had fried shrimp, rice, and coleslaw. The vanilla ice cream was delicious. The restaurant has a great ambiance. Everything was fabulous!
We thank you for having us for the Veteran's Memorial Day lunch/dinner. Both, my husband and I, are veterans. The staff greeted us with friendly smiles. Our server was awesome and very attentive. His recommendation on the perfect cocktail to go with our meal was splendid. My husband doesn't eat salmon but he enjoyed it. We really felt appreciated. Thank you again, McCormick & Schmick Philadelphia
Restaurant didn’t acknowledge our reservation despite me telling them I had and open table reservation prior to being seated. Had to contact open table to get my points. Other than that. Food and ambiance was wonderful.
My reservation was Monday at 3 p.m. I was seated promptly and a nice window table please server was quite attentive and knowledgeable. And my Memorial Day lunch of the grilled salmon was off the charts. McCormick & Schmick's delivered yet again
I was so enjoying my salmon that I forgot to take a picture of it, but here's a picture of the desert which is equally scrumptious
We both had the trout almandine which was flavorless.
For dessert key lime pie which was overpriced($9) and too sweet.
Our server Jonathan was very professional. There was a lot of talking and he very patiently waited for out order. The food came out hot and special requests we're accommodated.
Enjoyed the Alaska king crab and the sea bass. Also the lobster bisque as a starter and the strawberry ice cream pie for dessert. Great meal in comfortable surroundings!
Perfect all around, definitely will go back!
Everything was excellent. if the tardar sauce was better, the meal would have been perfect.
