This place was awful. When we arrived the 2 hostesses totally ignored us. When they finished their conversation they asked us if we had reservations. We said yes at 8pm and they both put their heads down and continued their conversation and still ignored us. Then they decided to sit us at a dirty booth. The table was sticky and food in the placemats. The floor was very gross. There was a lot of open tables but the people next to us was complaining about their server. We walked out and went next door to capital grill. It was bustling with business, clean and very friendly employees. This Mccormick and Schmick needs a good cleaning and a new staff or the Plam and Capital Grill which are both a half block away are going to continue to take their customers. We won't be back.
I had made a reservation and requested a booth, which I did not receive but there was a booth available not far from where I was sitting the whole night. We also ordered a steak well done, but it had a lot of red in the middle, it was put back on the grill and still came back red. I have eaten at many steak restaurants and have always had the steak to how I like it, well done. Nice place, but I was not pleased about the booth or the steak.
Overall the meals were good, they lacked seasoning and were a little bland. The service was excellent and the prices were reasonable.
Service was good but food came out cold. First time food was prepared not as ordered and was returned cold.
As always very good food with great service in a classy, subdued environment. The seafood is always tasty and perfectly cooked with a good strong variety on the menu. We strive to go to independents, but as chains go, this for us is a "go to".
All my food was delicious except for my green beans that was in my trio, they had no flavor. Should look into adding minced garlic or some other type of seasoning. My mussels had red pepper flakes menu didn’t mention that but they were so good!
I truly enjoyed my experience. It was my birthday and we were a group of 7. Our waiter Donte was soooo nice! He was such a gem! He checked us to make sure everything was to our liking. He was just an all around wonderful server and definitely helped make my birthday a memorable one!
Normally I am extremely pleased but my food was cold and waiter was not attentive at all. I won’t be returning.
I had salmon over orzo. There was barely any seasoning on the fish and there was also no sauce. I got the blueberry cheesecake for desert and the server brought me chocolate cake. When I told him, he came back with the blueberry cheesecake but it didn’t have the same blueberry drizzle that the other person I was eating with got. THEN, at the end, he gave us the wrong card back when we were paying, and we asked for change and he put our cash with the other person’s card! He would have given them our $100 if he went to them first. Also, the person I was eating with got some kind of crab soup and said it wasn’t very good. I had spinach salad as my appetizer and that was great!
Restaurant week provided a good opportunity to sample a few dishes here. Each one was delicious, from the spinach salad to the wonderful salmon & orzo entree to the fabulous chocolate silk pie for dessert. Every dish was served at the appropriate temperature and service was prompt and attentive.
Our server was very pleasant and accommodating. She helped my husband with with his aversion to spicey food. We both enjoyed our meals and everything was great!
Truffle fries are always good. Excellent service and a nice selection of options for Restaurant Week.
The food was cold and was very nasty!!’ The chef didn’t put any love in it.
Food was good. However I received shellfish on my order which didn’t describe shellfish and I have allergies
Server was wonderful..food was not what I expected for an upscale restaurant. Of course it was restaurant week but the quality of the food was not up to par. Salmon was raw in the middle and food was not hot at all. I sent the dish back to be fully cooked and not hot.
Everytime I come to restaurant week the menu changes a just enough too try your favorite as well as something NEW ! The server and food and wine paired with it makes it My BoyFriend FAVORITE place for seafood!!! And He’s VERY hard to please!
Waitress was very attentive to detail and remembered our requests even though she was beginning to be deluged with customers . It was lunch time, Restaurant week. Enjoyed our meals. Friend enjoyed her birthday
We enjoyed a delicious meal this past Sunday evening. The restaurant was crowded possibly due to the Restaurant Week menu, however we did not order the specials. The three of us were more interested in the regular menu rather than the desserts offered by the special menu. We shared the calamari appetizer among the 3 of us, and each ordered a fish dinner. The sea bass, the stuffed shrimp, and the salmon dinners were all beautifully presented and served. We shared dessert, an amazing "chocolate box," which was plenty for the three of us. We enjoyed meeting the manager and especially appreciated Ciara, our server. She was friendly, efficient, and professional. It was a "special" event for us, but we will definitely return if even just for a "date night."
Dark, loud and food was average.
I ordered the salmon over pasta with spinach they brung me salmon and asparagus. No one explained to me why they changed my meal. I did ask bout the spinach I was told they ran out. I had forgotten that I was suppose to have pasta until I received my bill. My lobster tail was dry. My waitress was wonderful. Just not a good meal for $150
Visited on 10/1. First called the restaurant around 7 pm and was told they were sold out for the evening. Checked on Open Table and surprisingly spots were available at 7:15 and 7:30. Arrived at about 7:20 and was seated promptly (party of 4). Another party walked in ahead of us without a reservation and was turned away. Service from the start was very slow (30 mins to receive drink order) and less than attentive (little follow-up during the entire meal). We ordered a bottle of wine which proved challenging for our server to open. Also, a number of entrees and desserts (creme brûlée) were not available during our visit. Overall, our meals were fine and portions fair. In the restaurants defense, it was a Monday and also during restaurant week. However, for being "sold out", the dining room was 70% empty by 8:30 pm. In short, the meal was ok but the total experience deficient on several aspects. I suspect this reflects weakness within management and the serving staff.
Lastly, one of our party reported that the Men's room was a sty.
Food was ok, service was awful as if the waiter couldn’t be bothered and never came back to check in. Kitchen also ran out of bread. Overall very disappointing.
Decided to try this restaurant out during Restaurant Week....we made a great choice. It was my Dad's Birthday and our server made sure our experience was enjoyable. My niece, who is 4 was also at dinner and we weren't treated any differently just because we had a small child with us. We have already decided to return in the near future. Thank You for making my dad's birthday dinner a memorable evening.
One of the best restaurant ever i been
We stumbled upon Philly Restaurant Week and there was a very nice $35 prix-fixe option. First two courses were excellent, cheesecake dessert was pedestrian. Great presentation, location, service. Definitely would return.
Food was great and our waitress was great overall experience was absolutely great!!!!
We unknowingly showed up on Friday evening, that was during restaurant week, but with all that hustle and bustle were able to be seated pretty quickly. Our waiter Johnathan was an absolute joy and very attentive, he was well informed on the menu and the way certain items were prepared. Honestly the food was not rushed or overcooked we will definitely be returning for more sampling of their menu.
Their Restaurant Week specials suck & the dinner, compared to the lunch menus are identical... We ended up ordering our usuals.
Great ambiance and food!
Very nice meal and our waitress Katie was very professional and a great help. I would highly recommend 10/10.
Nice, relaxing and awesome service!! Food was great!
Food was great and I recieved the best service ever from server sharelle (i hope that was her name) food was tasty .... will be back soon for that lobster bisque !
Had the sword fish w/grits grilled corn salsa. Delicious!! Server Christina very attentive and made excellent suggestions. Will definitely return.
My server Tom and his manager were very helpful when I gave them my Landry Rewards Card. They helped me save $25!
Great service from the hostess to the wait staff. Food was exceptional. The decor was comfortable and pleasing.
We attended during CCD Restaurant Week and ordered from a fixed menu (with 2 - 3 choices in each category) for a fixed price. Beverages, tax and gratuities not included in that price or menu. And actually, the portions provided were just right. We will most definitely return to McCormick & Schmick’s in the coming months. Looks like a reliable go-to restaurant for meeting friends or date-night.
Chicken was overcooked and flavorless. Swordfish was excellent.
Little to no service. Food was served cold.
The food was over cooked. They were out of all chocolate desserts. It’s was our 1 year wedding anniversary and we wanted to celebrate with something chocolate. How can you be out of chocolate?
I honestly would not recommend it. Bonefish grill is much better and cheaper. Maybe you had a bad night? I don’t know.
90% of the experience was great. The food was delicious service was good up until we ordered deserts. We ordered the upside down apple with ice cream. The waiter Jonathan brought a box of lettuce instead of the apple pie and a to go cup of blue cheese dressing instead of ice cream. Then he didn’t even apologize he just said thank you then brought out the apple pie and ice cream. After we paid the bill he came back to the table and told us we didn’t tip enough and told us we should have tipped more because he’s not even gonna see the tip at all. I was so surprised and shocked because we tipped pretty good especially with the desert mix up. Those comments ruined the entire experience.
