Good food and drinks, good service as well. Would have given 5 stars but the bathrooms were pretty dirty, which was shocking for the kind of place we were at. Also, came for Cinco de Mayo and was told they weren’t honoring the promotion they had been advertising on their website. They should’ve at least took that down.
terrible/terrible/terrible... I am an active Landrys Select Club member, yet hadn't ever been to MCS in Philly. We saw a Cinco de Mayo special - and made reservations to enjoy... when we arrived, they claimed that a city ordinance prohibited them from running two different 'happy hour' menus. It sounded like a B/S claim - and a crazy excuse. We, as well as at least 2 other couples, left very disappointed about the false advertisements.
Overall the experience was pretty good. The food was amazing and the price point was great as well. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars opposed to 5 is because they were understaffed. Our waitress was so overwhelmed, she even forgot to give us a bread basket. She took our drink order first, and then after bringing out my drink, she took our orders for the appetizers. After the appetizers came, my partner had to remind her to bring his drink. Only after we ate our appetizers, she took our dinner order which caused long wait times.
Good was not done as she ask then it came out again and still was not done (steak) as she ask welldone was all pink and outside toasted
Ordered the bone in ribeye med, they brought it to me well, the second attempt was rare, I asked them to cook it closer to medium and it came back well again. My waiter served us one round of drinks and didn’t offer a second, we didn’t even get our waters refilled. The manager nor server came to check to see how the steak was cooked. Overall pretty bad experience for an “upscale” restaurant.
Good eats. Initial service at host stand was a little off putting but the server made up for it.
Amazing food and service, crab cakes, shrimp kisses, Parmesan crusted flounder, shrimp&crab stuffed salmon are dishes like no other.. the chef was on point.
It was a very good experience with William as our server. Great guy.
When making the reservation, it asks if there is a special occasion. I put that it was for a birthday, and in the notes I asked that he get a birthday song. Upon arriving there, no one was at the front desk. Once someone finally came after some time and seated us, it once again took a while before a waitress addressed us. No one ever approached me about my request and nothing was done. It was very disappointing.
Started out pretty quiet than proceeded to ger louder and louder. I ordered the crab and shrimp stuffed salmon and there was 1 little baby shrimp and absolutely no crab what so ever, my date ordered steak and his steak knife didn’t arrive until 6 minutes after the food was already on the table. Our drinks came very very late and we never even received water. After asking for the check the manager came and took all the dishes off the table because the waiter never did, the manager than proceeds to say “thank you for coming tonite we had soo many cancellations due to the protests and that has nothing to do with”. I’m not a political or activist kind of person but that was not the time or place to speak on what’s going on and how your business isn’t affiliated with it
The food at this location was the best of all locations!!!! Phenomenal service, great food and drinks...what more can you ask for!
Nothing special- probably better for business lunches than for dinner. Food and drinks were ok, service was great tho.
Just wishing that the restriction be lifted because my family and I had to sit at two different tables but overall everything else was great!
Overall, I was very unimpressed with McCormick & Schmick’s. The dinner was bland and unseasoned. The food was overpriced for no justifying reason. Please understand, I don’t mind higher-end dining... if the food & service is premiere/ top notch. This was not the case here.
I reserved a table 1 week in advance for party of 8 in celebration of my friend’s 38th birthday. Secondary to Philadelphia’s COVID restrictions, max tables of 4 can be seated in the public part of the restaurant. Alternatively, I asked the manager if it would be possible to seat us together in a private room, or a different part of the restaurant. She refused. It was a Monday evening! The place was empty. There were only 3 other parties there with us.
I informed the manager that should probably make a note under the reservation table on the website. Because I know if I would have been advised of the table max in advance, I would have chose another restaurant that could have accommodated us... perhaps in King of Prussia, Plymouth Meeting or Cherry Hill NJ.
Lastly, the server was very polite, but was very soft spoken and unsure of himself. He made novice ordering mistakes. This made a 2 to 2.5hr dining experience almost 4hrs long! I most likely will not chose to return the Philadelphia’s McCormick & Schmick’s.
We waited for a very long time to even be provided water, forgot what our ordered drinks were and we had to leave.
The atmosphere is nice. Lots of wood, and carpet. The food has its ups and down. The clam chowder is great, the mixed grill fish is just okay. The oysters are great, the filet is just okay. What is nice is that there are items on the menu that are not very expensive. But this is a chain restaurant, and as such, it’s nothing amazing. Overall I would give it 3/5 stars.
It was a nice peaceful dinner for my fiancé birthday. We loved the service and the food was even better!!!
Very good food but very bad service
Very nice place easy parking. Food was delicious and the service was nice as well.i give it a A+.also the place is nice we we're upstairs and it was a nice view.
We waited over 40 min for someone to come to our table. The host was then the one that took our order. My sons steak was served rare and he didn’t want it to eat it. They did knock some off the bill but it was very disappointing.
My initial steak was not cooked at the correct temp but the manager swiftly corrected the issue and ensure upon arrival of the new steak it was cooked correctly. She made the entire experience alot better. Wish I would have gotten her name.
I ordered Salmon. It could have been seasoned better. Dessert was great!
Great food, atmosphere, and service! Great food, atmosphere, and service!
We hosted a private party here for my moms birthday, and the service, the space and the food were great. We could not have asked for a better place to host her birthday dinner.
The food was delicious and I always enjoy myself when I visit this establishment
Easter Saturday brunch
Food is pathetic. My “perfect” margarita tasted like pure syrup. Oysters were frozen, shrimp over cooked, tuna flavorless with no sauces or anything to make it better. The only thing decent was the fish and chips which were both frozen products I’m sure...not very hard to throw something in a fryer. Service was slow. 0 star experience total waste of hard earned money.
Covid obviously limited the amount of servers.
Great Service The Food Was Delicious. The Atmosphere Was Perfert For Me And My Ladies Intimate Bday Dinner.
I had a great experience.. and the food was great
The server was not attentive at all, never checked back to see how we were or if we needed refills on the beverages. The restaurant was not even crowded just to add. One of the meals was incorrect, so the manager brought the corrected dish back to the table with no apology or empathy. Certainly we would not dine there again.
Let me begin by saying that if there was no stars to offer thats the rating they will get. Considering that this restaurant is considered to be a high end restaurant the service was beyond terrible. We were seated upstairs, we ordered right away when we got there. Our drinks and appetizers came, mind you someone else that was not our server dropped off our food. They served us a soup with a oyster fork, not exactly how it is humanly possible for anyone to be able to eat it that way, anyways we then waited and waited and waited for someone to walk by to get a spoon. EVERYONE was missing in action until we got up from our table to find ANYONE for a fork. Our server never returned to the table to offer us more water or even drinks, we had to once again hunt him down after an hour of waiting around for anyone to give us an update on our food, mind you the restaurant was empty. After hunting him down we expressed that the service was horrible and all he said was "Ill get the manager" we waited another 20 minutes and no manager in sight. This is when we decided that it was time to go, no drinks, no food, no attention whatsoever. We got up and was looking for someone to pay our bill. We finally saw the manager down stairs who was apparently bringing our food up, he did not care about what we had to say, we told him we no longer wanted the food so he grabbed the steak that we ordered and walk away and served it to another table right in front of us. I must say this restaurant is by far the worst restaurant I have ever been to, the attention to the paying customer is non existence, and as far as management goes they should really look into getting new staff to give people a inviting dining experience. I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone!
Slow service. Apparently , ran out of martini glasses and gave us a brandy glass for a vodka martini after having the first one served in a martini glass. Service was not as professional or upscale as I remembered. Food was excellent. They dress code policy is not enforced.. at.. all.
Everything was absolutely excellent. Best meal I have had in a long time.
Everything was excellent! We only ordered appetizers and they were all so delicious! Our server was very friendly. I would definitely return!
Food great....street scene outside is deteriorating
It was great and I loved the food and the service
